This product is JUST what I needed!
Originally, I had found some cheap stair treads and after 6 months of adjusting them daily I saw a reel on IG advertising the Oak Valley Designs stair treads and I am SO glad I did!
These treads have transformed my stairs. They are not only beautiful, but they are of high quality and design and SO easy to install. They don’t budge and that in itself is wonderful!
I will say they took some time to get but it was well worth the wait.
I was able to call and work with customer service to ensure I could get a single tread that was a tad different in depth and they were wonderful. So easy to work with.
This has made traveling the stairs safer for myself, my husband and our pups.
I got the Brindle stair treads and 3x3 landing piece.

I was in search of high quality stair treads that looked sophisticated but also helped our aging dogs navigate the stairs. Oak Valley Designs checked all of the boxes and Rebecca in customer service was extremely helpful with the process and making me comfortable with choosing this company. Installation was a snap, I made a cardboard template for one side that insured I was placing each piece in the right place, removed the cellophane backing from the treads, and laid them in place onto the clean hardwoods and tested them out. It's a relief to see the dogs move up and down the stairs safely and have a product in place that looks great and doesn't damage the hardwoods through an aggressive installation process. I ordered the Oak Valley Sisal Wool Blend in Crystalline with Round Nose. The material wasn't as soft as I was expecting to my hands, but underfoot it is fine and I expect it to hold up well in a high traffic area, but only time will tell. I am very pleased overall and expect to order a second set for the stairs in the front of the house now that I've gotten to experience this product in person.

Easy to work with and treads were simple to install. I wanted to review when the install was older. Have had the treads about 2 weeks. No snagging or pulls yet. Very good quality. Packaged nicely. I’m super excited! Family loves them and so do I! I’m ordering a custom landing piece next!!!

Bought the bullnose carpet stair treads to help our old dog navigate the stairs. They are absolutely fantastic! Beautifully made, look great, and don't move at all once installed. I also pulled one up recently to give it a good clean underneath and the glue didn't take much to clean right off, then the carpet was ready to put right back in place. They even stay in place while vacuuming. Worth every penny!

Worth the wait. We love our new stair treads, and our kids can’t stop going up and down the stairs to feel them out because they’re so soft. Super easy to install and they look great. Even better is that our 10.5 year old golden can get up and down the stairs with ease and confidence. The process for submitting the measurements/picture for our custom landings was pretty straightforward as well, and it turned out great. With little kids we didn’t want any potential tripping hazards so the custom landing continue the look of the runner and tie all the steps together nicely. Thank you!

Highly recommend Oak Valley and their individual stair treads! I found them on Etsy and it’s been a great experience from beginning to end. The measurement tips were very helpful and they fit great. Good stickiness yet they can be removed with no problem. So soft and plush under foot. Now no more slipping on the bare wood stairs for us or the dog, and I’m ready in case my dog or son gets one of them dirty… I can easily clean or replace just one ❤ (bought San Lucas Monterey)

Very happy with our stair treads! We ordered 29” wide, 10” deep, round edge Linen Nantucket stair treads. Our stairs are 39” wide and these fit and look great. Only 2 “complaints” are that some treads are slightly deeper than others, so some stairs have a very small gap between the tread and the corner of the stair, while others don’t. It’s very minor and can only be seen when you are walking up the stairs, so I really don’t mind it. Second is that shipping took a lot longer than expected! We were told it would take 3-5 weeks from when we ordered. I followed up 7 weeks after ordering and was told it would be another 2-4 weeks, but then it took 7 weeks so 14 weeks total from when we ordered. All in all it was worth the wait, and I would still choose to purchase these over any other option. They are beautiful and were very easy to install!

Ordered stair treads and landing carpet to protect the wood from our pups claws. Ordering was simple using the instructional videos. Delivery took a few weeks longer than quoted at time of order. The treads were easy to install and stick very well eliminating any concern that they could be a slip hazard. Great product would recommend and buy again.

I am so grateful for this product! I just moved into a new home with hardwood stairs and I have a small dog with bad knees. I really didn't want to have to invest in a runner for my stairs, but was worried about my dog. I happened to stumble across Oak Valley Designs on Instagram and was amazed at how beautiful and reasonably priced their product was. I also couldn't believe how easy it looked to install. It almost seemed too good to be true! It did take about 6 weeks for the stair treads to arrive, but they sent me a discount voucher for future use to thank me for my patience and when I did reach out, they were quick to respond with updates. They arrived today and I couldn't believe how great they looked and how easy they were to install. 14 treads took me less than 20 minutes and make my steps so much nicer to go up and down! I am very happy with my purchase and will be back for a rug for my landing soon!

This is such a great alternative to a runner and for the price, you cannot beat it! I'm very picky when it comes to my home, and these are a great addition! If you're debating ordering these, do it!! You won't regret it!! I have already sent their website to a couple of friends who I know will love this product!

Just got my stair treads and installed them today. Very easy to install. And I love them. They look so much better than the old ones I had on these stairs. And they stay in place, not like the old ones which moved all over the place. I have custom order carpet landings being made and expect them to ship very soon. I’m so happy I ordered these!

I am very happy with my purchase of the bull nose stair treads. I live in an historic house and had wanted a runner but was waiting for the upstairs to be renovated before investing in carpeting. I also have an elderly dog who often has difficulty navigating the long stretch of stairs. I ordered these in February and received in May (Quality handmadeship takes time!) I was able to washdown the stairs and affix these treads in less than an hour. I was pleased, hubby was pleased because he didn't have to do it, and Scout was pleased because she no longer slides down the stairs. I love how easy they were to install and the face that I could easily replace ONE tread if it becomes ruined. No issues with slippage at all!

Really happy with the look of the stair treads (herringbone design). Install was simple. Our order was delayed but the team proactively reached out to let us know and was responsive to emails.

I found Oak Valley Designs after researching carpet treads to add to my stairs for our sweet, elderly kitty who was having a hard time getting up and down our hardwood stairs.

I haven't received my order yet but will update my review with pictures once I do! I had to leave a 5 star review because the customer service has been absolutely incredible. Rebecca has been helping me with my order and has really gone above and beyond - she sent me samples so I could determine the best size and edge profile, and then helped me to order additional fabric samples. Normally when contacting customer service at a company you really have to chase people down and my experience was the exact opposite. Oak Valley Designs checked in with me regularly on my order to get it adjusted for size, color, fabric, etc. until we got the order right. Thank you Rebecca!

Edit: I got my order and added some pictures, we love them! We’ll probably order some matching pieces to sit on the landings ☺ extremely happy with the way everything looks and feels. It got here even sooner than they predicted!

These treads are high quality and don't slip. Setup was extremely quick and easy. If you make a mistake, you can take it off and apply it again. The adhesive remains sticky! These treads definitely elevated my staircase and I highly recommend it to others.

Just finished installing my new Oak Valley Design treads!! Super easy and they are not slipping one bit!! Very pleased with the quality and I know my big dog and my little grands will be much safer using the stairs❤

I love these treads! They were super easy to install and feel surprisingly padded when stepping on them. They did take a little while to come in but it was worth the wait. I love that I was able to order different sizes as I have multiple staircases that are different widths and I was able to order a matching runner for the landing.

Very nice stair treads that are good quality and padded well. I still used extra double sided carpet tape on the bullnose for extra safety for my daughter. Only thing I wished I saw when purchasing was the measurement option. Would’ve been nice to make mine a tad bigger since my stairs are a bit bigger. Overall very nice quality

We love our new stair treads. We searched and searched for either a carpet runner (so expensive) or treads that fit our custom stairs (custom house). Oak valley designs met our needs exactly!

So excited to receive my custom-order of the Classic Sisal Blissful Beige stair treads! Can't say enough about the high-quality materials, and the simplicity of design/installation. Finally, my stairs look elegant, and the treads will stay-in-place. Worth every penny, completely satisfied on the craftsmanship!

I can’t rave about these enough! I was looking for a less permanent option to a stapled-in runner. I didn’t want holes in my stairs or to have to refinish the stairs when the carpet ultimately gets gross in a few years. By luck, I stumbled across oak valley on an instagram reel and I am SO GLAD I did! They were so easy to install and they are gorgeous!
Did they take a long time to come in? Yes. Was the communication great? Meh. Am I mad about it? Not really. Because I get it. Life happens. They are going through a growth spurt and are trying to juggle and work through it. I get it. A huge amount of growth obviously means they are doing something right and I’m quite happy for them. I love to see a small business thrive. Patience and understanding go a long way and I’m sad to see that a lot of consumers in these reviews lack those qualities. And really, these are stair treads. I wasn’t waiting on dinner or medical care. I didn’t need these asap. I am beyond happy that I waited because these stair treads are better than I imagined they would be. And guess what? I’m on their website now, about to order some more.
