A & C Campground

We loved it!! Definitely will be returning!! The creek running by our campsite was so relaxing!! Margaret was so nice and helpful during our stay. Firewood available and delivered to our site. Also ice is available on premises. This place was a gem, the most relaxing trip we've had in a long time and didn't want to leave!! We will be back!!

My son and I stumbled upon this place when we drove up and found another campground still closed for the season and cannot believe what a gem of a place we found! The tent camping back the creek was about as idyllic as you can imagine with grassy camping areas, tall shady trees, and a gently rolling shallow creek that my 5 year old just couldn't get enough of!

The staff were very welcoming and we were so thankful that they still had space. The high elevation keeps this place cool even when it was 90 degrees back in Durham.

The portajohns were very clean and lit at night. We did not have a chance to check out the shower house, which is a bit of a walk, but I imagine it was nice.

They also had a playground that needs some TLC, but we were really there just for the campfire and creekside play.

I can't wait to take the rest of the family there and will certainly be back!

** They do have ice and firewood for sale on site for a reasonable price, but we didn't need any this trip.

Excellent staff. The small creek was very peaceful to sleep next to. Tent camping is very secluded if you get the right site.

The owners are so nice.... love going there so peaceful. Sometimes early morning you might see a deer or two and it's really a beautiful place. The bath house is always clean they also have a playground for children and they are pet friendly...no restrictions on size of your furbabies just make sure you have proof of vaccines. Couldn't ask for a better place.

A very nice, quiet campground. We showed up the weekend before they close for the season, but the owners were very friendly and accommodating. The next time we are in the area we will definitely stay there again!

It was a lovely, and quiet, private campground. The owners were dolls and made us feel welcome the minute we set foot in their office/ home, and were very accommodating.

We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a private, peaceful experience.

The tent sites were reasonably priced, and very comfortable. They even had firewood on site to purchase and the site we chose was very close to the shower/ bathroom. We would consider going back there, if we ever go back that way.

This is a wonderful campground for anyone and is a great option if you have children. The bathrooms and showers as well as the portable toilets are clean and the staff is friendly. Campsites are large and well maintained, each with a grill, fire pit, and picnic table. My campsite was next to a little stream and not too far from the restrooms, the perfect place to go camping. If you have children, there is a playground and the campsites are big enough for them to run around in and enjoy, especially with the trees and stream beside them! I had an excellent experience overall and would recommend it.

Amazing location and incredible hosts! It's not often I get to rave about campgrounds but A&C is up there with the very best! Amenities are in tip top shape. Highly reccomended!

This place was amazing! The owners were very nice and accommodating. This park looks as if it should have it's own postcard. The bathhouse was clean and the showers were Hot! We backed up to a creek at our campsite. It was so nice. The grounds were manicured and very well kept. We will be back! If you ever get the chance give them a try!

The absolute best people to rent a camp site from! My dad has a permanent spot and we love it up there so much, the grounds are VERY well maintained and all done by the sweetest owners you could ask for. If you run out of something or need a hand right quick, Ricky and Margaret will be there to help in a bit. I have nothing but good things to say about this campsite. Keep up the great work!

We were lucky enough to lease a space at this wonderful campground. The owners are super nice and will go over and beyond to accommodate you. We couldn't ask for better campers who lease their sites and have met wonderful friends who just rent their spaces. The campground is peaceful and relaxing and I would highly recommend it.

This place is amazing!!! The campground owners Margaret Royal and Ricky Royal are the most nicest sweetest most generous people we have ever met in our life !!, and now they are our family . We are happy to say they are Proud Grand parents to katana Lynn Anderson who was born at A & C Campground . Campsite 13 on July 31st at 8:04 at night

Rick and Margaret are very nice folks. Worked us in for the month of September and we are very appreciative of that. Beautiful campus, clean and well kept.

Such a lovely campground in the mountains. The creeks running along the site were a nice bonus to hear in the evenings. Our kids enjoyed exploring and running around the open areas and playgrounds. The owners were kind and hospitable. We highly recommend this rv park.

Stayed for 3 months last year and now have a permanent site. Quiet and well maintained camp ground. Owners are great people and will go out of their way to accommodate you. Has many permanent campers with friendly owners. Give it a try... you won't be disappointed.

The campground is a great place to camp and quiet. To be honest there is only 2 to 3 places for short time camping. 2, 6 and 13. Water is not on site 13 for now but has electricity. I suggest calling them and not use email. The three site I mentioned are for campers. Has plenty of tent sites.

Ricky and Margaret are wonderful hosts of their little slice of heaven!!

A&C campground is the best campground in the blue ridge owners are the nicest people you could ever meet campground is peaceful and just what a person needs to relax and let the yearly stress go wouldn't think of going anywhere else for vacation
