Bowling Green Diner

I rated this restaurant 5 stars in every category, even atmosphere, as long as you enter the establishment with the concept that it is a diner. When you walk in, it's the quintessential small town diner- Friendly people and the aroma of good food.

We ordered an appetizer of onion rings, they arrived piping hot, looking and tasting like perfectly battered and fried home-made onion rings. Fantastic.

We were a table of two. One ordered from the entree menu, a two piece cod selection. It came with cole slaw, choice of potato, green beans, a choice of salad or soup and a scoop of ice cream.
One ordered from the sandwich menu, a pork tenderloin which came with a choice of soup. (There was an option to add on fries, we decided not to)

All the choices we made were great.
The batter on the fried foods was light and crispy. The chicken noodle soup was full of flavour. The vegetables were cooked well. The ice cream was vanilla (my favourite) and tasty.

The portions were generous! We watched them bring out plates of food for others too, so much food (bring a cooler with you so you can take leftovers home)

The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and patient while we asked many questions about different selections, and then she made sure we never lacked for anything while we enjoyed our meal.

The only down side about this place is that we almost didn't get to enjoy it due to the fact that they are a cash and check place only. (We found some "emergency" cash in our car) They don't accept credit cards, so make sure and grab your check book or some cash before you head over here. It's well worth the trip.

I love this Diner! I've always had a great experience while dining here, waitress are very friendly and they are absolutely my go to place. They are quick accurate and portions are Hugh, I always make 2 meals of whatever I order.

Wonderful meal great service. Really felt like down home food. The mashed potatoes even had lumps. Was great.

It’s your unique hometown diner!! It’s dated but homie! The food is delicious! Coffee and soda pop tasted just fine to us. The building again has the old hometown feel but clean and felt very comfortable while we were in there for our visit

They have 3 signs on the door cash or check ONLY and we appreciated the waitress double checking we seen the sign before we ordered.

Food was delicious; we were here for breakfast; and could not have asked for better food and flavor!!

We will be stopping back again!!!

Just got a cheeseburger and fish sandwich. Food was really good. The fish sandwich was HUGE! We'll be back to eat here next time we're in Bowling Green. Just so you'll know --- it's cash only. No credit or debit

Everything you could want from a diner: great food with large portions, quiet atmosphere, service with a sincere smile, reasonable prices.

Our waitress was amazing! My steak was a perfect medium rare. Always have a good experience when I go here. Love this place!!

The three of us really enjoyed the BG diner. The staff was very friendly. The food was all excellent. If the building got an update, it would probably have a much larger dinner crowd than we saw. You do have to have cash or a check because credit/debit cards are not taken.

Came here with about 8 people and food still came out quickly. large portions and really reasonably priced. HUGE menu. friendly employees too. would definitely recommend.

Large amount of food for your money, plenty of side's and dessert with your meal.

Chicken strips and fries were delicious tonight!!

This diner is well "Home".It is a small place with a warm friendly atmosphere. The food was great I had the fried Chicken dinner, It came with Potato,vegetable,soup and ice cream.The whole experience made me cry, I felt crazy at first because who cries over food. Well I did!! I was filled with memories of my late Father,who has been gone for 20yrs,yet at this place I felt he was there with us. I will for sure being going back to this place every time I am in the area.Thanks to them for the best fried chicken I have had in years!!!

Great food and service. Everything has been good here and the Fried Chicken especially.
