Food is great, skillet has enough for leftovers. Would eat it again.

That's the sign. Went to eat with my uncle, a great guy, and had the seafood platter. Kinda risky, but...damn was it good.

Went back a few days later with a cousin, and had a good burger.

The 2nd time, our bill was wrong. It was ~65 and should have been ~35. We didn't catch it. They did. Just a nice, small town place that I'd recommend if you're in the area.

We stopped here for breakfast on a recent road trip. What an amazing place!
The food was delicious. Our server was friendly and kept the coffee coming!! There was not a wait to sit, but they were busy.
Definitely would stop again if in that area. I love the little local places like this one.

Great breakfast food with high-quality fresh ingredients that are obvious from the first bite. The fresh baked bread is hard to beat. Service is always fast and friendly.

We eat here regularly! Best homemade bread! Just saying though, called on Sunday to get a To go order and whoever answered the phone was beyond rude, refused to take my order, then hung up on me..not sure why that happened, but we will continue to show our patronage. Just saying..

Always love stopping here for breakfast, never matters what I get it has always been good, polite staff and fair prices make it worth the stop!

You get a lot of food for the price & it's good! Staff was friendly...our waitress even graciously took a picture of all of us on my phone when asked.

Veterans free coffee, excellent food!!! The place is clean and friendly. Real food and large glasses. Great beverage selections. Try one of everything! Me biscuits gravy half order & crispy corned beef hash! Owner & staff are great friendly people.

The staff were all very friendly, the food was excellent, and the price was great. We had been told this was a great breakfast spot, and it didn't let us down. Homemade bread, eggs cooked perfectly, great potatoes. We will definitely go back and highly recommend.

Great experience. Food was hot, delicious and came fast! The coffee was plentiful and tasted great.
The only complaint I would have is learn to cook an over medium to hard egg. It should never be runny!

We Just bought property in Butternut, and tried this restaurant out on July 8th 2022. There was 6 of us in total, my wife, kids and I. The service was great, food was even better. Food was cooked perfect, i had french toast, and a skillet thinking i would get my fill. Well the portions were huge, thank goodness my 2 boys were hungry!!! It was truly exciting to find a place so close to my property that had such outstanding food, cant wait to go back!! Great job Butternut Cafe, well see you soon!!

Great food, great prices and fast service! The homemade white toast is awesome! Both times I've been here the servers have been friendly and provided excellent service.

Best sausage gravy and biscuits EVER!!! Fresh biscuits, gravy was smooth not pasty. Server Jesse was terrific and the rye bread was thick cut and must have been fresh-made. Definitely worth going a few miles out of the way. AND CLEAN!!!!! Thankfully got there right before the lunch crowd of truckers and farmers (usually a good indication that the food and service are good). My friend had the hash skillet and coffee - both outstanding.

Love this place. Challenge you to find a better breakfast with better prices anywhere!! Great food and great service!

Outstanding customer service with great food for a great price! A must stop after traveling down that long highway with no other places to stop at in the small towns.
