Awesome, close to road primitive sites. Bring everything you need and you'll love the experience. Sporadic traffic is barely noticed through the wind in the trees and makes for an excellent stop along nearby trails. Well cared for with surprisingly well spaced "sites", which are more of clearings indicated by ashes of previous occupants. Don't forget to, "pack out what you pack in." A local retreat treasure, will definitely be visiting again.

Very nice large campsite. Pulled in with a 65ft rig. Was able to run loop and exit with no disconnecting or backing up. A 36ft rig was also onsite. About 6 campers used the grounds during our 3 night stay. There are multiple walk in campsites for extra privacy.

Site itself was awesome. The grounds are relatively clean, several locations to set up for the night. I will say if you are hiking or staying the night there, make sure you check yourself for tiny ticks. And I do mean tiny, I had had to look at what I thought was a little bite scab underneath the microscope to see that in fact it was a tick... Just a heads up.

Great little area for Hiking, camping, or a weekend getaway! There were probably 5 or 6 other campers out, but plenty of available space for tents and/or hammocks. Beautiful area!

A very nice primitive campground. No water, electric or trash pickup. Pack it in, pack it out. camping spots are very roomie and secluded. Nice and quiet. Highly recommend.pics to come soon.

Very rustic Campsite, this is just a few firepits that have to be walked to from a central parking area. Lots of hardwoods make the campground fairly scenic. Mosquitos could be a Major issue if the weather has been warm leading up to your stay. Camping is free, sites are first come first serve. Also, Halfway Creek road can be noisy at night for some reason, I suggest moving back a bit.

Great place to camp and hike. I did the trail for a good 5 miles and then turned back. It gave me that feeling of remoteness. It was very peaceful. Close enough to the ranger office but i only saw two tents there.

Ok, stop and read this. You need. To know what your getting here. Nothing! Not even room for a trailer or RV. I would say this tent only. No bathroom or portapottie. You will peepee and poopoo in the woods. There are a lot of tent sites, a small number have a fire pit, most don't. You will be walking everything to the site. I say site. It's more bald ground to pitch a tent. Plenty of hammock spots too. It was awesome!

Camp, Hike, MTN.Bike and have all three dogs with me very nice. Most time other campers are great. But if the party crew comes in it can be terrible. I just tell them nicely don't wake me up after twelve o clock. I'm not a happy camper and can break stuff. They chill.lol .Leave no trace.
