Mogasheen Resort

The owners are so nice and the cabin was so clean. Very fun resort, the pool is perfect and the fishing is great. We will be returning again and again!

Came here as a child for many years. Brought our kids here to have "the experience"... A beautiful family runs this place, and they go out of their way to make your stay special. Neat, clean, homey, well provisioned. Owner family is real, hard working people, who enjoy the hospitality business, and making your stay wonderful.

Had a great family vacation here. Docked my boat in the private marina. Owners are great.

Staying at Mogasheen for the Birkie race. John and Stephanie Rieckhoff are the most gracious hosts! Wonderful people! Cabin was great! It was very clean, warm (5 degrees outside!) and roomy for our group! Want to come back in the summer and stay fir a different season experience!

We just went to visit the resort and found the entire staff to be very friendly. We're looking forward to a stay there.

It's a great place on a nice lake. Clean and cozy cabins. There's a pool, games, and satellite TV when there are rainy days. Snacks and gifts are available too. The owners are some of the nicest people you will meet.

We have been going up there for 30 years! It's a great family owned resort with nice cabins and lots of things for the kids to do! We have been up there in all four seasons and it's beautiful! My kids are always so excited to get up there! It truly is home away from home!

Cabins are placed so one can look out your windows and see the beautiful lake and trees any time. Very relaxing and can easily do boating fishing side by sides, ride bikes and more.

The indoor pool is great!! The cabins are laid out well. Each cabin with fresh bedding. Cabins are clean. Close access to Lake Namekagon. Activities for young and old.

I did not stay at the resort, instead was next door at the Namekagon Campground. We walked over to inquire about kayak and boat rentals. The owners were helpful, attentive, and had very reasonable rates. We ended up kayaking and followed their suggestion to find Loon nests and a very quiet waterway to enjoy the afternoon. The equipment was in good condition and we were provided PFDs. When we returned the equipment, they even discounted the rate because our afternoon was shortened by a storm! We stayed and chatted with the owners and their parents as the storm passed. What a great family and very comfortable atmosphere! Thank you for a great afternoon!

We always have a great time when we stay here. The owners are very nice and hard working, and the cabins are always clean. They have a nice setup for a pool and sauna. We have been Snowmobiling in the area for years with friends and family making lots of memories.

We have stayed at Mogasheen four times with our family group of 9 adults and 6 kids. It is our home away from home. It is like staying with family. The cabins are clean and comfortable. You can ski cross country trails right from the property. The pool is warm so the kids don't get cold. Ice fishing is easily accessible. There is snowmobile access to trails from the property. Our grandkids loved sliding down a hill to the lake on sleds. There is something for everyone at this winter wonderland.

2nd year staying at this resort over Weenie roast. We already booked our cabin for next yr. Nice remodel, nice quiet end of the lake. VERY CLEAN. No complaints

A+! February 2021 snowmobiling Sunday thru Wednesday, rented the Maple cabin. Everything about our trip was great! Super nice family ownership, they do a great job keeping the snow cleared and there was ample room to maneuver and park our trucks/trailers. The Maple cabin was very comfortable for our 6 guy riding group, with 2 couches in the living room for plenty of space to relax. Great location on Lake Namakagon (local snowmobile club does a super job marking the lake trails with very good signs at the intersections on the lake). It was very cold, my sled didn't start one morning, owners pulled it up the hill with their UTV and let me put it in their heated shop for an hour to thaw it out! Thank you so much, looking forward to coming again!

This is truly a one of a kind gem. This is our absolute favorite place to visit. Such a welcoming family, wonderful cabins, great views and memories to last a lifetime. We’ve been coming up for 6 years and cannot wait to continue our yearly Mogasheen tradition!

My family has been vacationing here since I was a newborn 42 years ago. It has now become generational as my siblings and I are still vacationing here with our kids and my parents still. The cabins are well-maintained and even if an issue does arise, Patsy and Henry, the owners, are responsive. There are picturesque views of Lake Namakagon from any of the cabins. I love being able to relax, unplug and enjoy family time at Mogasheen.

I really enjoy mogasheen resort. It is designed for no cell phone reception and peace and quiet. Great launching point for boaters and lovely cabins to stay in. Ive been coming here for ober 10 years now.
