Macrory Park

A small but clean park with a nice sized pavilion. My grandchildren love playing here.

Had restrooms. Had several picnic tables. Not too busy. Playground was fun. Had shady areas when walking around the sidewalk.

Fun

Enjoyed it, facilities could have been better. There are restrooms, but no seat on the toilet and no soap or towels. Plenty of room for kids to play, plenty of room for adults, too. Nerf war! Bring a towel, when we got there there was water everywhere (and yet cigarette butts, confetti, candy wrappers, and even some glass so it wasn't to clean) thankfully we had one to wipe down the tables and seating. Wish we had brought a broom but who thinks to bring a broom?

I like that this park has swings for Littles. We enjoyed our time here.

The swings are nice, the Pavilion is okay. Playground itself is pretty basic and a little boring. It was unfortunately trashed with food thrown around, but that's not the park's fault. Clean up your messes people. We share the space.

The surfacing under the settings is actually semi-hazardous, the felt can (and has been) tripped over. It needs to be re-done. I remember how great this park was back when it had the wooden barrel, merry go round, play equipment with the swaying bridge. It was one of my favorites. The updates are underwhelming. It's the closest park to our house, so we still go. It's also nice that it has a pavilion with bathroom and benches. There's also a basketball court down the hill. There rock fence is fun to balance on.

Cool parks, needs some updates and cleaning.
