Blue Doors is our favorite lodging at Lake Tenkiller. Two miles from the lake and 1/4 mile from the river for kayaking or trout fishing, so best of both worlds. The place itself is so well done, the Casitas each have their own unique decor, high end bedding and great amenities. Kitchenette has a mini fridge, coffee maker, sink, and tableware. The outdoor community kitchen and music stage are great for live entertainment, breakfast, or grilled burgers or steaks. And there's a pizza oven and outdoor TV as well and a massive fire pit. A clear pond with fountain and beach is great for relaxing or reading a book. If you love Santa Fe, you'll really love this place. The owners focus not only on service and hospitality but also making guests feel at home! It's hard for us to leave when we visit and we often book an additional night or two.

Book it now! This place makes for the perfect getaway.

So grateful we stumbled upon this magical little spot. Visited with my husband for our anniversary weekend. Found it on Google - it looked pretty unique and was close to some trails we wanted to check out. We arrived and were immediately excited with our accommodation choice. Blue Doors’ casitas have a southwestern bohemian vibe which is fun all on its own. You can see the effort and thought put into making each space unique but it’s also quite comfortable. The kitchenettes are great touch.

What we really enjoyed was the overall vibe of the place. Welcoming and colorful, peaceful and comfortable with lots of great spots to chill. The common areas are a treat to explore. One of the co-owners, Charlie, completely blew us away with his hospitality and kindness, something we always enjoy in a post pandemic world. You can see how much work and love has been put into the property. I definitely see this being a great place to book out for family get together, yoga/meditation retreats, weddings, etc. Such a great space in the middle of serene nature.

We loved our evening meals and great conversation by the fire. Can’t wait to bring our kids and our pup for another little getaway asap.

We had a fantastic stay at Blue Doors in late October, early November. The amenities were just wonderful. We sat by a huge campfire, cooked our food outside in their amazing outdoor kitchen, and just had the loveliest time relaxing. And, there are chickens! The hosts were there during part of our stay and they were too much fun, and even taught us how to use the pizza oven. Our casita was just perfect and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing but great things to say. We will definitely be back!

Unique and cozy getaway spot! Room was fully furnished with a kitchenette, walk-in shower, and comfortable bed. The outdoor kitchen, which includes a wood-fire pizza oven and smoker, was awesome. Quiet fishing spot and private little beach area on the pond provided a scenic place to relax. Dog friendly- our pup had a blast. Hosts/owners Charlie and Jeff were so kind and accommodating. Will definitely be back!!

Blue Doors is the absolute perfect getaway spot! The property is quaint and cozy, with a pond for fishing, a private beach, and multiple fire pits. The casitas have been recently updated and are both comfortable and stylish. The star of the show is the outdoor community kitchen with a smoker, grill, pizza oven, and just about anything else you need. The owners are absolutely wonderful and the care they have for the property and their guests is evident. This is the perfect place to get away with a big group of your friends or family. I cannot recommend it enough!

Need to start off by saying that the Blue Door Cabins and our experience in the Gore and Tenkiller Lake area was amazing! This area is only a quick 30 minute car ride from Muskogee or an hour and a half from the Tulsa airport. My wife and I decided to have an adventurous weekend to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday here and it was amazing! The cabins are the perfect size for a couple or a family with kids in the doubles. The property has been recently renovated and there is excellent climate control, wi-fi-, T-Mobile cell reception was a pretty solid full 5G bars (occasional UC 5G speeds,) and other great amenities in each cabin.

The grounds itself are what sell the place. Catch and release fish pond guarded by a super friendly cat. Plenty of outdoor common areas to relax and unwind, have a camp fire, or even grill enough food to feed a platoon of kids on the main fire pit grill wheel. There is a magic too when you walk around and explore as well as when you're relaxed. An outdoor kitchen that's robust with offerings including a grill, stone pizza oven, fridge, sink, food prep area, and a very impressive outdoor big screen! There was not a live music venue on our weekend but if you bring the kids here expect a wonderful experience. The team at Blue Doors can make sure to let you know what to expect for your stay.

My wife and I had a great hiking experience on the Burnt Cabin Cliff trail with amazing views over Tenkiller Lake. The area, as many locals know, has much to offer visitors with a new marina that's ready for the season and a bar/restaurant that's coming soon. There are some excellent food options in the area as well and a pretty solid grocery store (Harp's,) Dollar General, small liquor store, and cafe. Try any dessert at Emily's Tea Room & Bakery in town for a real treat!

The team there are still working and improving the grounds daily so you should expect to encounter some work activity during the daytime. They are working on clearing out invasive plant species while also ensuring the area is well tended to and maintained. While we were there, the owner showed us the property and filled us in on its history. We bonded with the owner over the weekend and were treated to an amazing experience that made it one of the most amazing birthday/anniversary weekends ever. Thank you to the team at Blue Doors Cabins in Gore for the perfect getaway!

This place is so cute and wonderful! The new owner, Charlie, and his business partner, Jeff, are so warm and welcoming folks. They truly made my first time at Tenkiller that much better. They were always hands on and ready to help in a moment’s need whether that’s with plumbing or helping us pick up the place after a fun night. The cabins are super cute, they were recently renovated, and it reminded me of Arizona or New Mexico’s aesthetic. Very clean, fairly bug free, and has updated amenities. I can see they put a lot of thought and time into the place. I would absolutely come back again and bring all my friends! Not to mention the killer view of the sky at night.

It's hard describe this gem in so much as doing it justice with a conveyance of words. Just a couple hours from Oklahoma City and an hour or so from Tulsa, it's like Santa Fe was lovingly dropped into a secluded Oklahoma hardwood forest. It's private yet can be communal. I've stayed twice, once as a couple and enjoyed a private quiet repose, woke up to silence and the feeling of being unfound. Our room had the essentials, great coffee, awesome shower, kitchette, and comfy bed and pillows. And once our group took the entire place over and because of everything Blue Doors has to offer I would say it is an experience not to be found in all of State. I would highly recommend this option as a group retreat. The chefs of the group took advantage of the outdoor kitchens, with refrigerators, built in smokers, pizza oven, Santa maria grill, and you name it. The bartenders prepared the libations, The Musicians (well) sang on stage, fish were caught, picnics on the shore of the pond with a giant fountain, and the fire pits were warm. The new propreitors have done wonders with this place and I am really looking forward to my next trip for some peaceful R&R and day trip exploring around the area. I really hope the Blue Doors are around for our enjoyment for many years to come. #longlivebluedoors

Couldn’t say enough good things about this place!! It’s the perfect place to take a big group! only 2hr away from okc! each casita is like it’s own perfect hotel room newly updated with a fully equipped kitchenette and private bathroom! beautifully designed with unique eclectic art in each room. everyone had their own space which was very nice! but the star is the amazing outdoor community kitchen!! there was plenty of space for everyone to gather around the fire pits, a pizza oven, grills, smokers and anything else you can dream of! We really enjoyed the pond on site just a short walking trail from the casitas! we laid blankets on the beach area and chilled all day! some people fished the pond! it was such a relaxing get away! we didn’t leave the campsite one time! no need! but there was a grocery store only 10 min down the street. Lastly, it was the incredible hospitality from Charlie and Jeff that put the whole thing over the top! Anything we needed or questions we had were tended to immediately. they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time! big family vibes! BRING YOUR PEOPLE HERE!! you won’t regret it.

This place is unlike any other. I've traveled extensively and have never experienced anything like it. The cabins are cozy and well-appointed with a fridge and coffee pot. Some folks have mentioned there are no TVs in the rooms. We didn't come to watch TV and if that's what you're doing, maybe stay at a Hampton in Muskogee. I hauled my boat out for July 4th and my crew and I rented several cabins. There was plenty of boat parking on the east side of the property. We received emails telling us how to get in and lock up. There is a cool outdoor community kitchen area with a grill and wood-fired pizza oven. The owners were busy running around doing tasks and making improvements, but made sure to stop and say hello and make us feel welcome. They also had live music on one of the nights we were there which we loved. The vibe was welcoming and relaxing, and you just don't get that with your usual Airbnb. Cool place. Would recommend.

a group of us rented 9 of the cabins for the weekend. The weather was a bit cold but we all had a fantastic time. the communal area with kitchen and Pizza oven was perfect! we cooked a lot in the brick oven and Pat made sure we had lots of firewood for the oven and the fire pit. we will definitely be back in spring or summer. I highly recommend the Blue Door! we really enjoyed it!

Great owners in Pat and Jane! They went above and beyond. Blue doors is a great undiscovered gem. They had live music on our first night which was great and at the end took songs from the crowd. They had hiking, fishing and so much to do there. We brought our own food but they had a grill and utensils for cooking just asked that we cleaned and placed back when done the room was great and instant hot water! We broke out the kayak the next day and went down to the lake (we noticed they had kayaks as well unsure if they rent them out as well). Then after kayaking we came back and took the kids fishing at the stocked pond (catch and release unless you catch the legend catfish). It was such a great time on the patio and comman area where the kids could play we could BYOB and grill and play horseshoes or relax. It was a great retreat from the everyday that offered great relief from our everyday, and I could not thank Pat and Jane for all the extras they did with the kids such as story telling around the campfire making smores or eating dinner with us (bring extras with you and they will tell you all the best local spots for whatever your heart desires over a plate really came in handy when trying to find a launch point to get on the lake or where to hike). Truly hands on owners and great redone establishment that from the story telling was one of the first motel stops in the area and has been renovated with such care and style (think Austin meets Santa Fe). Could not be more pleased and neither will you if you stop in. You'll be greeted with a smile and possibly a hug so be ready to break out the hammock or the fishing pools and get away.

These quaint little rooms have been totally redone with fashionable furnishings and decor. Everything is very comfortable and clean. If you like, you can even use the shared community outdoor spaces to share a cold one while you barbeque out on the grill.

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It was exactly what we were looking for. Some peace & quiet with lots of nature. We took walks on the trail, sat at the pond and watched birds. The cabin was spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed. We loved the outdoor kitchen & they have plenty of space to store your food for you. We sat around the fire-pit at night and made some new friends. I also had the most amazing massage by Donita in the Teepee. Highly recommend that! Pat was a wonderful host. We cannot wait to go back!

This is my favorite place to stay in Oklahoma and a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Has a very New Mexico feel. The cooking facilities are amazing and the place is like its own little nature park. Expect to have great conversation with Pat and Janie while you are there!
