Humboldt Veterinary Group - Ferndale

I love this place, BUT we had a specific appointment. We drove clear up from Garberville (100 miles round trip) just for this appointment, only to be told we did not have any appointment. Sorry.

Dr. Schroeder, Dr. Flores, and Dr. James helped all my animals at times when things were touch and go. The receptionists are helpful, kind, and diligent. The rooms and reception area are clean. They have a bench away from others for kitties, too. There are also candles with wording about tender last moments with pets for others to observe in the quiet. I appreciate that there is a vet that can get my furry kids in fairly reasonably for last-minute appointments and that they don't charge too much over the top. For things like spay and neuter, however, that's a different story as far as price goes. I'd like to see more vets offer a more affordable price, at least once or twice a year, to give a spay clinic price.

We have visited both Fortuna and Ferndale locations, for our aging cat and puppy. They have consistently provided top-notch service and care for our fur babies, to include helping our sweet girl cross the rainbow bridge with dignity. We highly recommend!

Everyone is kind and respectful to you and your pets. Down to earth. Appointments are easily made and in consideration of the pets' needs.

Because of Covid19 other vets weren't accepting new patients, but Ferndale vet was! Most importantly the Veterinarian was honest and I needed that. RIP Sunny Moon kitty.

My sheep were attack by dogs and with the help of you guys i saved all the injured sheep.

Called about pet services for my kitty, the girl who answered was very friendly and helpful. They were booked up til about 9 days out and wanted me to bring in kitty for checkup appt before agreeing to schedule operation for neutering. I got a good impression. Will follow up after visiting.

Very friendly professional staff. They take care of all my fur babies. I have never had a bad experience. Dr. Cody Johns is our personal veterinarian (we love him), but we have seen others when he has been unavailable. Each and every one has been very thorough in their evaluation of my pets and their explanations of procedures and treatment options. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies.

I am new to the area and needed a new vet to look after my 15yo mutt. She has multiple issues but is still doing great. The Dr. upgraded her meds with a custom compound and she is doing even better. I am so grateful 🙏 and lucky to find such a caring group. Thank you.

My animal was acting very I'll, they were able to book me same day. Hours after the visit he was back to normal. Highly recommended them- they do great work and are reasonable with their prices.

Awesome Veterinary office. Professional and caring. It was easy to schedule my dog's appointment, the waiting room stay was short and the facilities were clean and welcoming. The Vet we saw for our dog was caring, patient and informative. The front office staff was friendly and helpful.

The ENTIRE staff at either location are amazing! I have been taking all my fur babies for years and they have never ever done us wrong! My one dog would not let any vet near him...he loved Chris and his wife! I would recommend anyone who needs a vet to go to them and I will never use another vet again! Thank you a million times over to this amazing crew!
