Spanish Peaks Inn

In our hour of need they were there when we needed a place to stay after my ex put me in the hospital and we lost everything that night. The staff were kind, caring, and extremely helpful and supportive when we were in our hour of need. As far as we are concerned this is a five star hotel in our book, and the first real step to a new life that we desperately wanted and needed. The customer care here was like we were part of the family and that is something we wish could be seen or even understood in the mainstream hotels we see now adays. Thank you for keeping us safe as we started over again in life it means the world to us and you deserve to know it!

A little off the beaten path... Seems like it's in the middle of nowhere... Looks a little run down... But... It's an absolute gem! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well stocked. We had booked online through Expedia. When we arrived, there were no rooms available. The owner showed us how he had contacted Expedia to notify them he was full and they booked us anyway. They are in the process of renovating the hotel. He had a room that hadn't been renovated yet, which he had not planned on renting out. However, in order to make sure he honored our reservation, he set it up and gave it to us. Top notch customer service and the room was very nice. If that's the unrenovated room, I can't wait to come back so I can see the renovated one!

As a recent grad relocating across the country, my room was quiet, spacious, clean overall, and at a great price. The building is worn, but well taken care of. The owner is very kind, which was certainly the highlight for me. Furthermore, the inn is aptly named; the Spanish Peaks peek right over the roof. Lathrop State Park is also right across the road--not a lot of obvious attractions there in my opinion (limited trail system), but there are fishing and swimming lakes, and the visitor center has tasty water. I would recommend these rooms to anyone hunting Walsenburg for a quiet and affordable place to spend the night.

This motel saved us in the snowstorm. The person at the reception counter and a lady with him were very welcoming and nice. I would give 5 Star because they picked the call at 11pm and helped us. Sweet people!

I was only in for a night but the staff was very courteous and rooms were spacious. Great location near a lot of parks and scenic areas. Will stay again when traveling through this area :)

The rooms at this motel are very clean and very nice and cozy to sleep in. Very refreshing. I loved my stay here. Will definitely be back very soon.
