Maple Soul

Had the wagyu meatloaf, gnocchi with added chicken and goat cheese, maple ribs, wings, beet salad and cornbread. Every dish was perfectly executed and every bite was fantastic. Service was A+, our waiter Sam was super attentive and personable (I certainly wouldn't have been to a table of 5 showing up half an hour before closing!) Cozy atmosphere that felt intimate but not crowded. Can't wait to be back in the area specifically to visit again. This place doesn't disappoint!

Great food. Great service. Must have if you’re in or passing thru Rochester Vermont ! Updated: the best cornbread in the United States of America lives here. All their food is honestly amazing. My first review didn’t do this place Justice, this place could hold its own in any city anywhere. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Also the wings are amazing, and the cheesecake will have your mouthwatering. This place is so good it made me mad, because I can only have it once or twice a year.

Been driving past this place for years headed to skiing, finally called for a reservation and had dinner there. Yeah, we'll be back as soon as we can. Cozy inside, Jen and crew were great, good beverage selection and Jim's cooking 👌

Brought good friend Phil Mandel & his lovely wife Rosalie for dinner on Saturday evening. It's a short drive from Killington, but totally worth it! We split the hummus appetizer & beet salad. I had the burger (amazing), one of had the baby-back ribs (full rack, amazing) and one of us had the gnocchi with a cream sauce (amazing). I had not been to Maple Soul in the last year plus, just Jen recognized me as a prior patron & warmly greeted her new guests. Great experience as always!

This couldn’t be more true! From the moment I walked in I fell in love with the warm cozy feel. Everything offered on the menu piqued my palette. All of the dishes ordered at my table were all beautifully plated and delicious. The definition of good for the soul. I can’t wait to return there during my next trip.

Quaint little hidden gem. First time and we will definitely be back. Owners were very sweet. Recommend reservations as it is a smaller place. Can't wait to come back and sit outside for a meal.

Found a gem! One of the best meals. Everything was great - Beet salad with goat cheese, Maple Soul Caesar, Cajun Shrimp and grits, cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake. Very enjoyable evening.

Amazing meal and experience, start to finish. Not only was the food superb, chatting with the team and owner, Jim, was a delight. EASILY one of the highlights of our trip to Vermont.

My wife and I have been regularly visiting Rochester since 2020. We ordered takeout one night and loved everything we ate. It was all delicious, and we agreed to always get some Maple Soul on our visits. We just celebrated my wife's birthday there yesterday, and dined in for the first time. It was everything we imagined. We felt right at home with our 2-year old son, and enjoyed everything we ordered. The Parsnip Tots, King Salmon Crostini, Crab Cakes, Pan Seared Duck Breast, Ricotta Gnochi, Maple Creme Brule, and the NY Style Cheesecake were all excellent. Yes, we ate that much. Great beer selection as well. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We'll be back in the Spring!

This place is a gem. I almost hesitate to write this review because I want to be sure I can get a reservation next time I want a spectacular meal. The food is beautifully prepared, locally sourced, and imaginatively inspired. Smoked delicata squash with pistachios and blue cheese...incredible. (See photo...it's also beautiful). The shrimp and grits are heavenly. Everything we ordered was perfect. And served by a charming and top-notch server. The setting is lovely, like eating in your best friend's dining room (if your best friend is a world-class chef who will lean out of the open kitchen to recommend wine). I can't wait to go back. My wife and I run the Featherbed Inn in Waitsfield, and we will be telling all of our guests it is well worth a 30 minute drive to spend an evening at Maple Soul.

Needed a reservation but not too far in advance. Everything was fresh and tasty. They claim farm to table theme.

Get in the car and do the drive wherever you are! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and the food…absolutely amazing. Every dish is made fresh like a work of delicious art. I’ve dined here many times and always leave happy and full.

We’re blessed they were open this Sunday evening so we could enjoy this gem otherwise we would’ve missed out since we’re only here in VT during the days they’re closed! Everything we ate was absolutely amazing and we loved that the ingredients are sourced from surrounding farms. I wish I had more room in my stomach to try the things I didn’t order.

Great food. Huge portions...maybe too big. Strong recommend. You can't go wrong.

Side note, the back room gets chilly. Dial up the heat!

Had a great dinner. We had a. 8:30 reservation but never felt rushed. Beer selection is probably the best I have seen outside of a taproom.
