Hickory Bridge Farm Restaurant ~ Bed & Breakfast

I have lived in Gettysburg my whole life and this has to be the best dining experience around. If you like country living or fine dining this is the place for you. They keep bringing you dishes of food and everything is home made and delicious. The atmosphere is like going to Grandma's house if Grandma lived on a farm her whole life. My wife is Gluten Free and they are very accommodating, she has never had a reaction and loves their food. Nestled in a quaint little spot and there is a lovely little gift store next to the main building. Big parking lot out front for easy access.

If you want to rekindle some nostalgia and have a great family dinner, this place is for you! The charming ‘barn’ restaurant and grounds are clean and inviting. The family-style dinner is a tasty and hearty meal. The standouts for us were the ham with apples, potatoes, stuffing, and gravy. But everything was delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. Even the gift shop is like an amazing museum sprinkled with items you can buy. We had such a nice evening that we can’t wait to come back!

Very nice place to eat once or twice a year! The food is always good and the atmosphere is awesome . The Christmas decorations looked so beautiful. What is nice about this place is that the food is brought out at the same time and we all get to eat together . Thanks for a great meal !

10 stars! Our family happened upon this amazing Sunday dinner totally by chance after deciding to pass on another establishment nearby. Wow we’re we lucky. We even got a tour of the property from the kindest lady who owns the farm and runs the business, checked out the country store, and truly ate the best Sunday dinner any of us have had in a very long time. We shall return!

Edit to add: Every single staff person there projected the feeling that they wanted to be there, present in the moment, to add to our experience. From the Hostess on the phone when I called, the team that met us, the owner, a young man working there… all of them were in lockstep, professionally dedicated to their role. That’s a sign of strong leadership and a winning business- it felt good to patronize such a principled family business.

Wonderful bed and breakfast. Beautiful rooms delicious food. Awesome staff. The owner Mary Lynn really made us feel at home. We can’t wait to go back again.

I have been there many times the food is always great go at Christmas time it is very beautiful. The atmosphere is great. Servers are great.

Two nights in #4 cabin. Our second stay. Very clean, cozy fireplace, comfortable king bed, great whirlpool tub. Wonderful country breakfasts. You will not leave hungry, either at the B&B or family style restaurant. Service is friendly and professional. Reminiscent of pre-covid days when people took the time to chat, checked with you offen, were attentive and happy to be of service. We hope to see this family owned, family run, and family oriented business thriving long into the future. We will continue to support it, and hope you will as well. Give them a try when you need a relaxing, slower change of pace, a really good meal in a quiet country setting, with innkeepers who welcome and treat you like family.

Second visit, stayed in a cottage this time and loved it just as much as the farm house! The view from the porch is beautiful!

We visited the restaurant and country store during our stay in the area. We had a fantastic welcoming experience from beginning to end. They allowed us to make a reservation 3 days before our arrival and helped us find a time where we would have the best experience with a larger group, when our headcount changed, they again were helpful and accommodating. When we arrived, the hostess greated us warmly and offered a taste of delicious apple cider kept in the entrance after which we headed to our table. Our server was a delight, helpful, and always a step ahead. Every piece of our meal was fantastic from the salads(the hot bacon dressing is a must) through dessert. The ambiance of the dining space is an experience in itself with amazing details from the past, we could not stop from looking around in awe. At the conclusion of our meal we had the pleasure of meeting the original owner's grandson who again was welcoming and wonderful to talk to sharing the history of the business with us.

So glad we booked this place! What a great experience! We stayed in a cottage, a beautiful bedroom with fireplace, king bed, mini fridge, microwave and TV with movies, a separate bathroom with shower and hot tub and a porch overlooking the woods and a creek, so relaxing! We are birdwatchers and heard plenty of birds too! We stayed on Saturday to Sunday and got a picnic basket breakfast delivered to the door! Other days you can have breakfast in the restaurant. We will be back! Mary Lynn is amazing! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

It was a lovely location, near all the sites but in a beautiful quiet location (saw rabbits and deer) with fabulous full breakfast. The cottage was roomy and beautifully furnished. The restaurant meal was a bit pricey but well worth it and the barn style was great (loved the trolley roaming the room near the ceiling). Had a wonderful trip!

Delicious home cooked food in a beautiful country atmosphere, located off the beaten path outside of Gettysburg. We book group meals here frequently eaxh year. Always have exceptional experiences & receive top-notch customer service. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

My grandparents brought my husband and I for dinner tonight, and we were blown away! Everything was cooked perfectly, and the spices, textures, and flavors were incredible. We kept asking for more crab imperial, and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The pork was tender, and the sauce they put on it was absolutely delicious. The broccoli MELTED IN MY MOUTH. I've never had broccoli melt in my mouth before! The corn fritters and baked apples were to die for. You can find a lot of these dishes just about anywhere, but the masterful cook on them really sets Hickory Bridge apart. I experienced skill, technique, and a whole lotta love in every bite. The all-you-can-eat family style really does it for me, too. We all get to try everything, and if we want more, we can have more. Very warm, comforting atmosphere as well, and everyone working there is clearly happy. We're going back, and we're recommending this place to anyone who will listen!

We stayed at one of the cabins at Hickory Farms B&B and had a fantastic time. The cabins are quiant but have all the necessary amenities and the view from the porch is gorgeous. It is secluded enough without being too far from the activities in Gettysburg. The breakfast we ate each day was also phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back!

We 5 gal pals get together for lunch every chance we can. We try to pick different places to enjoy & we happened upon this place nestled in the woods of PA about a year or so ago. Today was our 4th Sunday trip & it was just as good as our first time. The staff is always friendly & you can tell the food is fresh & NOT heated from a can. The chicken gravy over bisquits was delicious along with the ham. The crab imperial never disappoints & at least 7 dishes were emptied at our table. The cost of crab alone makes what you pay for this all-you-can-eat experience well worth the money! We will be back hopefully way into our elder years together! We also always enjoy our chat with the owner as she makes her way to every table to check on her guests! Where else do you get that kind of service anymore!!
