Such a fantastic experience! You will feel like you are in a Hallmark movie when you are here. Visited over the Thanksgiving weekend (2 friends) and had a relaxing and fulfilling experience! The Farm and Inn are very well maintained. The meals are truly out of a magazine with such a friendly family who runs the farm. You will not feel like a stranger here. We got to take a farm tour while we were there which was my favorite part of our stay. We got to seeing how the milking process works, feed baby calves and milk a cow.

Stayed at the bnb with my family and we had such a wonderful time! Food was delicious. The kids enjoyed playing with the farm cats and feeding the cows. The tour was really interesting given it's an active dairy farm. This was a great, authentic Vermont experience. We will be back!

I didn't stay at the bnb at Liberty Hill Farm, but I visited the farm with a tour group to learn about dairy farming and absolutely loved my experience! Our farm guide, Asia, was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain so many details to us, and she was so patient with a large group. We had the chance to see the cows milked with the milking machines, we did hand milking, we bottle fed baby cows, and she explained the whole process from milking to when the dairy company collects their milk. It was a wonderful, educational visit and I would highly recommend!

This was honestly one of the most heartfelt and lovely places I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Beth was welcoming, informative, friendly, and just generally the most sincere person I've met in a long time. And the food! I would (and will) go back JUST for the food. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Bring a good book, an eager stomach, and a restful spirit and you'll find home here.

This farm is a slice of heaven! I booked a farm tour to celebrate my birthday weekend. I was excited, but I knew the others were not as excited. But.. let me tell you, they LOVED it, and so did I. Asia is so knowledgeable and also has great comedic timing. The farm is very clean and the animals have so much personality. I now want to book a stay at the b&b.

I went on a farm tour of the dairy farm and had a blast. Asia was hilarious and informative. Our group was able to milk and feed cows, and even play with some goats. Her mother in law, hostess of the BnB, offered us cheese after the tour. I'm seriously considering going back to stay on site for a relaxing winter trip.

What made it so perfect was getting acquainted with so many cows and baby calves and being able to roam the farm whenever we wanted. Beth and Bob were very hospitable and the homemade meals were scrumptious. Ashas tour of the farm was very informative as she holds so much knowledge. Learning about farm life during the dinner hour was very nice also. I love cows more now than ever!

I felt in love with the place, hosts, experience and feel part of the family ❤ It’s a very cozy inn sparkling clean with very wholesome delicious made from scratch food that is different every breakfast and dinner and it’s something you won’t try anywhere else. Beth and her family is wonderful. They make you feel at home and part of the family right away no matter if you come along or with family/ friends. Also it’s complete farm experience with milking a cow and feeding calves and if you lucky to catch Asha’s farm tour you’d hear so much interesting info in a very engaging way. No one gets bored! You’re free to wander around the farm, pet cows and calves and many kitties. Also there’s one chicken ☺I’m so glad we went. It was a wonderful exploration- very relaxing and memorable. We’ll definitely come back.

My sister and I visited the farm with 5 kids. We had 3 comfortable and bright bedrooms. The house was warm, comfortable, and very clean! Beth and her family were generous hosts and made us feel part of the family. Beth is a fabulous cook. The meals provided a variety of dishes and plenty of food for our hungry, and sometimes picky eaters. The family encouraged us to explore the working dairy farm, and were welcoming and happy to answer questions. Asia was a wealth of information and helped us milk the cows and feed bottles to the baby calves. She even delivered a calf and it was a highlight of our trip! The farm experience was an inspiration to us, especially our kids! Thank you to the whole Kennet family for an amazing trip! We can't wait to come back!

The owners are personable, accommodating, and caring. They were very knowledgeable about their craft as well! The food was excellent. There's plenty to do besides the cows, but the cows are wonderful to be around. You can pretty much create your own schedule day by day and help out with farm chores, or go for hikes, visit cute little nearby towns, and more. We will definitely be going back!!

I read a review that mentioned that this experience was once in a lifetime and they were absolutely right. When I booked this I thought it'd be something nice to break up the day for us (a group of 6 adults) but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! Asia was incredibly kind, funny, knowledgeable and so welcoming. 10/10 highly recommend over and over!!

We booked a tour of the farm through Airbnb and don’t regret it!! Asia, who toured us around the farm, is super passionate about what they do there!! Also being up close and personal with cows is just a win!!

Liberty Hill Farm is a beautiful Inn and dairy farm in Rochester, VT. It is owned and operated by a loving, hard working family. Bob and Beth make sure your visit with them is one you will treasure. The food is delicious and the hospitality top notch. The farm is not only idyllic but is one of Cabot's best dairy providers. You can spend time in the barn learning about their herd and see how a small dairy farm operates. I have stayed here many times and would recommend highly!

An Unforgettable Experience

This review is about staying at Liberty Hill Farm during a pandemic. They follow COVID-19 lodging protocols.

The Hosts
Everyone at Liberty Hill Farm is warm and welcoming. This includes guests and workers of the farm!

Beth is helpful and knowledgeable. She will tell you stories about the farm, Vermont, its people and the milk industry. I learned so much from her.

The Lodging
We came in October. The house was perfectly warm and the bed had 3+ blankets. The bed and pillows are super comfortable.

They have soft towels. For toiletries, they have soap. They had hand sanitizer at different points around the house.

The Food
I had never been to a Bed and Breakfast that offered any other than a muffin and coffee for breakfast. Liberty Hill Farm offers breakfast and dinner.

All the food is homemade and everything is delicious. We had the most decadent breakfast (eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, muffins, sausage, bacon, etc.) and varied dinner meals (pork, chicken, salmon, macaroni and cheese, cooked veggies, salad, etc.) We were wondering when she was going to repeat meals!

The food was one of the best parts of visiting the farm. Breakfast is served promptly at 8 AM and dinner at 6 PM. She says a welcoming prayer before dinner starts. Every guest introduces themselves, so we all get to know each other.

The Farm Animals
The animals are the reason we came to Liberty Hill Farm. They have 300+ milk cows (1,200 lbs - 1,800 lbs each) and many barn kitties.

I was fortunate enough to witness the birth of a cow and I also got to feed a 3-day old calf which was the highlight of my trip.

I got to pet every cow and kitty that would let me. Make sure to bring a change of clothes. You will get dirty and it is worth it. They have rain boots you can borrow if you don’t bring your own and there is a laundromat in the town of Rochester if you don’t bring enough clothes.

In Summary
I got to be with farm animals and I learned about how much work it is to run a milk farm. You will gain a whole new appreciation for every glass of milk you have after you visit Liberty Hill Farm.

Come for the cows, stay for the food and come back for the memories. Farms are becoming more rare as year pass by and this was the most special experience I’ve had in my 20 years living in New England.

I came here because I grew up on a farm which we sold in high school. I missed the farm and I was able to stay here, enjoy some great home cooked meals, help out a bit with chores and just be outside in nature again. If farming isn't your thing, it is still a fantastic place to stay with great sightseeing, hiking, skiing and more all available and close by. The hosts are very personable and friendly and theres chickens and cats the kids can play with!

Liberty Hill Farm will remain as one of our most memorable experiences as a family. Although our stay was very short (2 nights), we had a lovely time and this is a place to disconnect from the city. It was worth every penny. My hubby and I had our own room which was very comfortable and peaceful and the boys had their own room with two beds. The bathrooms are shared but I never had a problem waiting for the other families to come out. The timing just worked. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious! My boys LOVED playing in the hay loft and bottle feeding calves. Beth is a wealth of knowledge if you need to find your way around town and she has great recommendations on where to go, what to see, tips and tricks, etc. Great place to get away from the city!!!!

Wonderful place to explore and stay! Beth is a fantastic cook and is very eager to help with anything you may need! Not only did we stay on a beautiful farm, but we learned so much! This was one of our stops on our East Coast road trip and was 100% everybody's favorite part!
