Absolute gem of an Inn, perfectly located off scenic Route 100 on the town green of a quintessential small VT village. The rooms were cozy, impeccably clean and equipped with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the delicious and convenient dinner at Docs Tavern connected to the Inn. Had such a great stay, already booked the same room for our next ski trip!

Excellent food! This small town bar is putting out perhaps the best burger I've eaten in New England. Soft buns, fresh salad, pink meat... this chef knows what he is doing. Hand cut chips are just the icing on the cake.
Great range of beers on tap. I'd be happy with just a few draft options, but there is the range here to enamour any craft aficionado.
You can see why the place is filled with people. It's a local gem that's worth traveling for.

I love staying at this little spot for weekenders in VT. The shower is hot with good pressure and the beds are comfy. The staff is THE BEST. It’s at an easy 25-minute midpoint between Sugarbush and Killington. And the kicker- Doc’s Tavern downstairs. Never misses; has some of the best tasting and heartiest meals in the Northeast. The meatloaf is a life changer, people!

We live over in South Royalton, VT and love coming here. Best fish and chips I’ve ever had, the cod just melts in your mouth. The staff is always super friendly, ignore the reviews that say otherwise. The interior feels cozy and welcoming. Thank you guys!!

Doc's Tavern: gem in Rochester. Beautiful little place. Great food. Regina, the owner, are awesome. Great food. Menu changes often. Stop in on the way to/from Sugarbush!

The tavern was delicious. Super nice people. Nice outside seating but sat inside. Pool tables! Avacado was not ripe on my poke bowl but otherwise a healthy portion of tuna and well balanced flavors. We ended up going twice. They got burgers which were huge and tasty.

We had a surprise birthday party at Doc's and the owners went the extra mile, the food was out of this world the decorations and atmosphere were excellent!! We stayed next door at the Stevens suites, excellent, excellent. Clean and neat, oh yea and dog friendly, brought the old hound along for the trip, the owner Regina was kind enough to walk my dog when I wasn't able to get back in time! Will be back for sure, thanks for a great stay guys! Recommend Highly !!!

Welp. We lucked out. Oven-fired pizza across the street at the general store: closed. Soup, salad & bread at the book store around the corner: closed.

I had a couple crisp tasty draft brewdogs along with fried pickles & Thai sesame chicken wings with housemade chipotle mayo, blue cheese, and ranch sauces. My special lady friend had a chicken and artichoke pasta dish (base was similar to a spicy bolognese sauce). She also had a Rose Margarita. Glorious across the board. 🙏

Went up for a long weekend with some friends and had an absolute blast. The bar has plenty of space and plenty to do. Had a great crowd too. Ended up having dinner in the restaurant there as well which was amazing. The menu had a lot of variety and everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was great! Thank you for having us, we will be back!!

We had a great stay at Huntington House this past weekend while skiing at Killington. Our room was exactly what we expected - exceptionally clean and comfortable. Doc's Tavern was an absolute pleasure. After a long day on the slopes we only had to walk downstairs from our room to enjoy great food, great service and a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

The owners Regina and Doc have established a great facility both for lodging and for fine dining and casual meals. We took advantage of staying in the top of the park suite that is two en-suite with a living room area fireplace and completely furnished kitchen area. Access to the fourth floor by elevator. Rachel the housekeeper would be checking with us each morning for any services we required. The suite was clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious for the rate. The restaurant has a fine dining area and a casual/sports bar area. Doc is the chef who has worked in various fine restaurant around the world and his food shows that by his preparation and the great taste. Highly recommend the place.

My wife and I stayed here only one night on our way to Middlebury and it was sensational, wish we had 3 more nights. Every aspect of the Huntington House meets you with a warm welcome and the people are what make this little nook so special. The tavern had great food and wide selection of seasonal drinks and wines. The room was clean, warm and every little detail made you feel right at home. I am always hesitant to stay in these types of places but if we are ever in need of accommodations in this general area of Vermont again, this is where we will be. Great overall experience and I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone...

Discovered Docs Tavern for dinner. The converted barn offers a warm, publike atmosphere. We opted to sit on the patio. There was plenty of shade and there were fans going. There are numerous options available for the burgers including a variety of cheeses, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and fried egg. The desserts were excellent. We had the Chocolate Fondant and Bread & Butter pudding. The service was very good. Overall a very enjoyable meal.

Really loved this place. Stayed here 3 nights, and really enjoyed it. Regina was ultra friendly, very accommodating, and super talkative. Great location, comfortable, and very reasonable price.

We come up to Vermont very often and I will certainly consider Rochester again only because of Regina and her husband. Sadly the pub was closed so we did not get to eat there.

A place that feels like home!! We always look forward to staying here when skiing at Killington, Okemo, or Sugarbush. The restaurant food is to dieeeee for!! They keep some staples on the menu(*cough* must-try 1806 salad *cough*) but for the most part it is different every time we come up because they only use fresh and in season ingredients. My favorites have to be the shrimp scampi, lamb shank, and wild mushroom pappardelle (an ah-MAZING vegetarian option) but honestly so hard to pick since its all always amazing. After a long day of skiing nothing beats going to the pub for some classic bar food and fantastic tap-beer selection and then cozying up in your room for probably the best night sleep you'll ever get. The rooms are always so clean and cozy, not to mention the adorable quiet town that makes sleeping in almost impossible not to do!! We love our home away from home and love and appreciate the amazing welcoming staff!!! Thank you Regina and Chef Vincent!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at HHI. The owners of the property, Regina and Vincent, are so lively, welcoming and fun to talk to. Our room was a two bed, two bathroom suite which was huge, decorated like a perfect Vermont cottage. We had a full kitchen and private porch. The inn is dog friendly which was great for us, and was superbly clean. A storm was expected in the area but blew over so we were the only guests in the restaurant and Regina gave us the best table in the house. We enjoyed spectacular food cooked by Vincent, and loved Regina's wine recommendation. The bacon wrapped meatloaf and sticky toffee pudding were crowd pleasers amongst our group!! After dinner we enjoyed some drinks and playing pool at the tavern, where we were able to bring our dog along. We had such a lovely stay at the HHI and can't wait to be back! Thank you so much Regina and Vincent for the lovely time!

Doc's is our local spot when we are at our house in Vermont. Great food and awesome "town tavern" vibe with great local beers and gourmet food that exceeds typical bar food. Rigatoni is amazing. Pet friendly inside and out and a great patio for warm evenings.

No idea how this chef found his way to this small town in VT..........but wow. 5 stars is an understatement. The manager makes THE BEST drinks, and downs they an.order wrong. The owner/chef (that's right) literally cooks 5 star meals served in a tavern. Blows my mind the quality of the dishes, and the way he can make such a wide array of food....Perfect and 5 star every time.
