The Dance Shop -Altoona, PA

We have been searching all over the country for a pair of Jason Samuel Smiths verdigris for a production of Alice in Wonderland. Not only did the Dance Shop have them, but the customer service was incredible! Thanks for helping us get these shoes. They are awesome!

State College is low on dance stuff. Target might work, or not. Fortunately the 40 minutes to Altoona has everything we need with expert staff and decent prices. The free "The Dance Shop" water bottle is top style.

This place has the absolute best customer service I have ever dealt with hands down!! I can not recommend them highly enough! Highly responsive, super helpful, and they actually care about their customers. Within an hour of placing my online order, I received an email informing me of a potential error I had made (it was indeed an error on my part). Not only did they help me fix my error, they were patient while I discussed things with my daughter (the recipient of the items I ordered) and even sent me pictures to help us decide what we wanted to do. Everything we ordered came in a timely manner and is exactly as described. I couldn't be happier!! Will definitely be recommending them to all my fellow dance moms!

Stopped here for an outfit my daughter could wear to her first figure skating competition. We figured since the outfits are so similar to dance it was worth checking out. We found a great outfit in their consignment section that we only needed a few more odds and ends. I loved the experience we had. The staff was extremely helpful and my daughter is so excited about her first competition. I know this was not a normal situation since we were not there looking for something for dance, yet they still made sure we were helped fully and that we were satisfied especially my daughter!!! We will definitely be returning for future outfits!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Walked in for a pair of dance shoes for my 5 year old. Was greeted at the door and helped immediately. Was signed up for the birthday club for all 3 of my kids. Very nice staff, clean boutique. Will definitely be coming back!

I went here looking for something specific and was helped as soon as I went in the door. The ladies working were very friendly and helpful throughout the process. The store was neat and clean. I got extra help with ideas for the hair styling item I was there for as well. I enjoyed going here. If my girls continue to dance we will be back to buy from them.

Ms. Hannah was wonderful to work with as she fitted my daughter for her first pair of pointe shoes. I would highly recommend this store for any dancewear needs!

This is the shop we prefer to use in Altoona. They have a very wide selection and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff, which was great for this beginner dance mom. Their prices are very good even compared to Amazon for most items, and they carry quality stuff that actually lasts. And they ALWAYS have what I need in stock, unlike some other stores in the area.

Always takes very good care of us. Always knows how to help us get fit for what we need. My daughter is in twirling, she loves coming to The Dance Shop.

So I take care of my disabled sister and dont really know nothing about dance stuff. The lady was real helpful, we got everything we needed for her class and the prices were reasonable.

This is the only place in a 100 mile radius that can actually fit pointe shoes correctly. At least in my experience. The people are really nice and they have a good selection of dance things.
