Allegheny Orthotics and Prosthetics

Terrible place to do business with. Made us pay in full even though insurance approved the service. They are in network for my insurance. We were told it would take 4 weeks and it took almost 8. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Then they coded it wrong so payment was denied.

Went to get a new brace as a referral from a n orthopedic foot doctor. They told me it would take approximately two weeks. After a month, I had to reach out to find out when my brace would be in. They told me that my Dr had not sent in the proper paperwork. Fine. I get that, it DOES HAPPEN. I figured no biggie as I had a follow up with said Dr in a week. At the Dr appointment, I asked about the paperwork, she told me that she had not gotten any paperwork from them. I called to tell them this. They told me they would resend it. This is at 6weeks out now.I give everyone time to cross their t's and dot their i's. I call to check the status, and they asked to come for an appointment but no confirmation if it's there. After making the appointment, she asks me to bring my copay. Appointment day, I go in, wait briefly in the waiting room and they take to an exam room for approximately 20-25 mins. Finally, a therapist (??...I'm sorry but I'm not 100% sure on her function there....not saying she was useless but I as a layperson do not know)comes in with my brace saying, "Oh, I almost couldn't find it".
Poor communication, no follow ups at all without me reaching out n even when I did it was vague at best.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Horrible communication. No one else around here does what my father needed. It’s been 4 months and still no shoes.
