I cannot say enough good things about the Broad Ave Barber Shop and everyone that works there. At this point I’ve had almost everyone cut my hair as well as both of my sons hair. Even though we stick with the same couple barbers, walking in there is always a treat, and they get the job done better than anyone else around here. High-fives for everybody. 💈💈🙌🏻🙌🏻

My boys have been coming here since they were little and are now grown men. They love it here and everyone seems so nice!! They love when Ellen does their hair but will gladly let anyone there do it!!! Best place around!!!

My first visit to Broad Avenue Barbershop today was very enjoyable.
The barbers genuinely seemed to enjoy each other's company. I mentioned to Sue that it felt like a family atmosphere.
My hair was way past due for a cut and Sue did a terrific job with a straight razor finish!

A fantastic traditional barber shop with good prices and perfect hair every time. The entire staff is experienced and professional. I can walk in, take the next available chair and never worry about a bad cut, regardless of who does it. The wait time is usually minimal and even when packed, they keep it moving.

I wanna be clear, I’ve had the same woman cut my hair for the past 18 years and I’ve literally never gone to anyone else. But, since I’m 4 hours away from home and I needed a cut and beard trim badly I did my research and that brought me here to Jose. If you are a man, with the intent to look good, you HAVE to go to Jose. I’m sure his associates are good as well but I’ve never received a better haircut than from this man. He is like an artist. He asks you what your intent is with your hair, he gives you grooming advice and he genuinely cares. Big shoutout to Jose. He’s got me looking fresh and feeling confident.

GREAT PLACE FOR ANY KIND OF HAIR CUT. Even when your young and looking for newer king of cuts Jose has your back and know what you’re looking for! Great place, great atmosphere, and even the prices are better than usual but still even better cuts! I can’t say how nervous I was walking in not knowing. I was super happy when I walked out and I can say I can come back and get one of the tightest fades and having someone to talk to as cool as mr.

I don't do changes well at all. Have a Very good barber for 40 some years he retired. Thought I would not find a barbershop I had trust in. WRONG Very family orientated. And great talkers. That's what a great barbershop is

There are several barber shops that one might consider when searching Altoona and I have been to most of them. Broad ave. Barber shop is the one that I have chosen and I highly recommend it. The staff is very courteous on the phone when making appointments, as well as in house. They have business hours that will work for most people's schedule to include Saturdays. Their price is fair and competitive for the area. Furthermore, I have given it 5 stars because of the professionalism of the one barber that I will schedule with over any barber in Altoona. His name is Jose. He is a very skilled barber, up to date with current trends, friendly and courteous.
It is always money well spent.
