Hands down, the very best coffee in Vermont... so... if you are driving by Northfield, VT don't hesitate to stop. They use local (and premium quality) Rogers Farmstead cream milk... to drink a Cortado at Carrier is to transport yourself to a the comforting shade of a hillside tropical coffee farm. You can also get some outstanding granola and a smallish selection of sweet bread... as well as excellent beer in the adjoining brewery.
They roast on Mondays, except if it's brutally hot - then it's done in the middle of the night. In any case, Vermont is not exactly known for it's steaming hot summers.

Was craving an espresso tonic and asked the barista if they could make one even though it wasn't on the menu. They went out of their way to get all of the necessary ingredients from the brewery next door, and what I thought might be a hacked-together-but-satisfactory espresso tonic was perfectly made and delicious. Very kind and generous barista, very good coffee, very nice experience.

Stayed in Northfield for a few days and was lucky enough to have this very close by. We went every morning and enjoyed each time. I recommend trying a maple latte or the G.O.A.T...that drink is out of this world delish!

Easily the best, most well balanced, thoroughly sourced, expertly roasted coffee in Vermont. Doesn’t hurt that the space is welcoming, service is top notch and it’s connected to a brewery! A thoughtful rotating seasonal menu always offers a perfect single origin on drip. Pair it with a cappuccino, or if you’re feeling a fancy, a Darryl and get a granola + yogurt to stay!

For starters 5 stars is simply not enough to convey the essence of this small town coffee shop and the joy it brings its residents. Every Sunday my friend and I walk into town to visit our favorite baristas. They have a true passion for coffee and it is shown in all of their beverages. From lavender lattes to a regular iced coffee they’ve got it all and every drink is healing. Carrier Roasting Co. has become one of our traditions and we are thankful for the location, quality, and atmosphere.

Completely renovated space which oozes warmth and amazing cortados 🙌🏼 could sit here all day with friends or would be great to bring a book and sit at the new window front bar, taking in the sun. Also would be nice to pop in for a coffee and a couple hours of work too. Super welcoming and bright! High fives to the Carrier team!

I always seem to leave with more knowledge about coffee than when I entered which then I eventually forget. But I always remember it's delicious! And now on Saturdays they sell breakfast sandwiches from Morse Block Deli!

If you haven’t tried Carrier Roasting you are missing out. The brand and varietals they carry are out of this world, not found at your local coffee shop. Everyone who works for Carrier is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their coffee.

I'm from way down in Texas where I have been spoild by the coffee shops dotted across beautiful Austin. But this place was like home away from home. With style, service, and taste holding par with what I'm accustomed to I can do nothing but highly recommend this gem of a coffee shop!

The shop itself is homey with warm and inviting staff. The baked good are always fresh and delicious and coffee is made to order and with careful attention and skill. The roasting side of the brand is down with equal excellence and a personal touch you don’t often get. A must try!

Simply the best coffee around, even with a competitive Burlington coffee market they stand out above.

I meant to post a few months ago, so here it it now. I had never been in here before and on a whim decided to go in. It was pretty busy and I waited patiently about 15-20 mins as the barista had his hands full of orders. I believe I ordered a regular coffee. And as I was asking how much, he said it was on the house. Thank you. That was quite unexpected. I got in my car and took a sip. I nursed that cup for few hours as it was very good. I will be back.

Great hole-in-the-wall coffee roaster. Looking forward to my next purchase. The place is attached to an adjacent brewery and you can wander betwixt the two establishments with your beer or coffee. If I still lived in Northfield I could spend my whole day in those two businesses.

Just tried a med. Roast and decided to browse the whole bean varieties , chose the least expensive chit chat , ill be sure to rate it accordingly! Great to help support the local economy, folks! Do it!

Absolutely perfect cortado, a simple but delicate drink that is so often manhandled. The coffee is fabulous, with hints of caramel and salted dark chocolate. I wish I were in the area more often!

Learned about Carrier from following Scott Raos social media. Fabulous coffee! Really enjoy the Northfield location, but stoked with their new Burlington location since I live in Chittenden County.
