Very comfortable and fun train-themed room. Hearty breakfast and great history—thanks Doug! Great view of trains , which move at a nice pace—not too fast.

I’ve watched the view from the rail webcam sited on the building on and off for probably a decade.
Long decided that if I went to America I’d love to stay there. Well for three nights in the first week of October 2023 I did. A dream come true! Of course I do like trains and as I’m from the UK the thought of seeing the massive trains for real was a great attraction. Evenings were spent sitting on the balcony talking to other visitors and enjoying trains. The rooms were clean and tidy. My brother and I had a suite, my room was at the front overlooking the balcony had two single beds, my brothers was towards the back and also had two single beds too ( I think). There were two restrooms each with shower and WC. A small area next to the ‘front door’ of our suite had a coffee maker, micro wave and fridge. I expected to be awakened by trains trundling past in the night but in reality I heard a couple then was torn between having a look through the window at them or turning over and going back to sleep. Sleep won. Breakfast is communal with one sitting when I was there. There were masses of really good food, enough to set you up for most of the day, and an endless supply of good coffee. The company and host were great. I don’t know if I’ll get to the US again but if I do I’m sure there will be room in the calendar for another visit.

A terrific, unique bed and breakfast. Even if you're not a railfan you'll have a great time here. Quirky, comfortable, super friendly, and oh those breakfasts...

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the cook for breakfast was fantastic! The room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable with an excellent view of the railroad tracks across the street. Lots of nice extras like cookies and candy, refrigerator just down the hall. The front porch is an excellent place to watch trains and get to know the other guests. It was an excellent experience and I will definitely be going back.

If you love watching fully loaded coal and freight trains struggle up the Alleghenies of Pennsylvania, this IS the place to watch them from. Nice beds, phenomenal breakfasts and a front porch to watch train action ( and Amtrak passenger trains in both directions!), this is a perfect week long or weekend spot for the rail enthusiast!

Good breakfast, heavy on carbs. Always a friendly bunch of railfans staying with you.

Update: The breakfast has gotten much heartier and stays with you for a long time. Chris is a great cook. We had another great stay in the PRR room.

For a Railroad themed Bed and Breakfast the Station Inn is one the finest. My four (4) night stay was both enjoyable and comfortable. In my opinion, it’s a wonderful location for train viewing. In addition, the staff was outstandingly accommodating. A special shout-out to the breakfast cook. I’ll see you folks again soon. Alex

It's been since 2014 since we last stayed at the Station Inn. After hearing that the Langs purchased the Inn, we decided to return to Inn. Boy, are we glad we did. It was an awesome experience from the atmosphere the breakfast, and the staff was all superior. Saw many trains and even got to meet Leah on Friday.
The new table is beautiful and we cannot wait to return soon.

Very welcoming with comfy "at home" feel. Continuous upgrades add to the comfort you'll enjoy as a guest. If you're serious about observing today's rail activity, this is the place.

my grandfather and I had our first stay here from July 13th to the 15th and we had a blast. Being able to hear the trains inside and while sleeping to going out on the porch and see all 3 mainline tracks that are busy consistently, it was definitely an experience that I enjoyed greatly. the staff Pat and the cook Chris, took great care of our needs and made sure we enjoy our stay. We'll definitely be coming back again!

I stayed at the Station Inn recently just after the new owners took over the establishment. My stay was excellent and I highly recommend this place.

First and foremost, this is a place for rail fans young and old. Trains are rumbling by just yards from the front porch and inn 24/7, which I was expecting and was not disappointed. You can spend the whole day doing this but there are also plenty of other rail related activities in the surrounding area which makes this place a prime home base for your rail activities.

All of these activities are easily found on line or the friendly inn keepers and staff can direct you in the right direction. The world famous horseshoe curve is the most well know attraction which is close by to the inn.

The breakfasts were hearty, plentiful and delicious. Plan on good conversations w the other guests.

Some rooms face the tracks so it’s trains 24/7, again, which I went for but if you don’t want that ask for a room not trackside, it’s probably quieter. I however enjoyed the late and early trains, watching bedside w one eye open and then falling back asleep.

There are some great restaurants close walking distance from the inn. Definitely recommend this place for kids and I would expect to have kids as guests during weekends and over school holidays.

If you enjoy train watching in a friendly, comfortable environment w a front row seat then this can’t be beat!

New ownership, same great experience and with some improvements to boot. New ceiling in the common room, recently repaired showers, clean and simple accomodations - the owners had a housekeeper call out and they made up our rooms for us. Excellent service as always, and Chris the old cook is back with his stories and his great breakfasts. French toast is great!

Thanks to the new owners for keeping this place real.

Absolutely amazing hospitality -- our interactions with both owners and guests were warm, inviting, and full of train-nerd delights! (But also fyi, not inaccessible to those who just like trains casually and/or have had to read too much Thomas to their kids along the way).
Too many times these days, one settles on the cheapest option, staying in sterile, cookie cutter hospitality establishments. The Station Inn was an *experience* that left a huge impression on me and my family and turned a dreary day of travel (including a flat tire) into the best day of our trip! Rooms are affordable, amenable, clean, and full of "granny house" character. Sir Topham Hat would approve, and so do we!

We arrived late evening but had the chance to wind down on the porch in a rocking chair watching the trains. We stayed in the B&I room with a queen and two twins in adjoining room. Our rooms were spotless and organized. Rustic but fun and the train memorabilia was like a.museum. we will be back.

This was our first time staying. It met and went beyond our expectations. Staff was very friendly. Sat on porch, relaxed, watched trains, did a puzzle and just took it all in. The history in and about this place is unreal. We will be back for many visits

If you expect it to be a Marriot or Hilton it isn't but it is a great b&b place in this small town. The care taker of the place is a gentleman and very nice. The room are clean and spacious. The bathroom was well maintained. It is right across from the train tracks and as the name suggests provides great place for train lovers. If you expect a quite place for your stay look somewhere else though.

It's been years, but I have great memories of the Station Inn. One case in point, it was late one night, I called for a room, I was told the keys would be left in a space near the door.
When I arrived it was very cold for a July evening, the keys were right where they were supposed to be. I also saw a nice warm sweat shirt for sale, which kept me warm as I sat on the veranda watching the parade of NS frights that night. The next morning it was up to Horseshoe Curve, only seven miles away.
I could only wonder what it must have been like back in the days that the J's, K-4s and I-1s ruled these rails. The veranda would have been a wonderful place to watch the great Broadway of steel that was the Pennsylvania Railroad.

The train watching is incredible. Tables set up on the porch with power strips, great to run your computers and scanners. The inn is no frills, just a good clean rooms at an affordable rate. Be aware there is no ac, but this is a place you don't spend much time in your room. No in room televisions, but with wifi on site, with computers, tablets, and phones, no problem. Great water pressure in the showers. Breakfast was the perfect way to get the day started. Finish breakfast, and wave at the morning amtrak. From the porch you can use the on-site whistle to give them a passing salute. The staff is warm and friendly, especially Chris at breakfast. Made sure we had plenty of food. A surprising amount of food options within walking distance of the inn. It was great to finally meet Tom. Highly recommend it for any railfanners or anyone that needs a place to relax for a few days.
