WellSpan Digestive Health

I don't care for WellSpan as a company. They don't care about their employees, why would the employees then care about the patients.. anyway, this appointment was scheduled a long time ago probably over an year wait. I do the check-in on my phone staff never questioned it. I got a call back to the room waited a few minutes to see the provider Ryan Robert Gaffney. He took his time and helped and assisted in anyway he could. I talked to him for a good hour. We are still in touch regarding my diagnosis.

Staff were friendly enough and seemed caring. Provider mostly interested in a by-the-book approach vs. Individualized care. I understand that, but at the same time everyone is unique. Ordered tests which I had done and results reported within acceptable time frame. Like many other Healthcare facilities, they mostly look at you like an insurance claim and not much beyond that. Could certainly be worse, but much room for improvement.

The worst place to have a procedure done. I went there for a Banding for my hemorrhoid. The banding was supposed to be on for one week, it came off the next day. so I was very concerned. the doctor said that it was not unusual but it was fine and won't see me. I called back the next day cause i was in pain. They told me to take tylenol, i called back to tell them that one week after, i was still bleeding and in pain, they still won't see me, but they told me to feel free to go to the ER or urgent care. The doctor won't see me until next month. I'm still in pain.
My advice to you is RUN and dont look back.

I've had an appointment for over 2 months for 12-21-23 @ 1:30 PM with Morgan. I received a call this morning (11-17-23) advising me my appointment was CANCELLED and my new appointment is for 3/20/23 @ 8 AM. THIS IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY. When I questioned the receptionist as to why this happened she did not know. I asked to speak to a supervisor/office manager I was told she (Kim) was in a meeting. I provided my mobile number to the receptionist and am waiting for a callback.
If I could give a ZERO rating I would. Everything has gone to pot since Wellspan took over.

Despite being diagnosed with gerd, lpr, and having reflux that is causing some pulmonary issues, these "specialists" have done nothing for me and refuse to do any surgery that would benefit me. Clear medical negligence. Had one "digestive specialist" tell me that Gaviscon is not an antacid. Amazing. There's a reason why people go to Hershey. I'll be seeking out a lawyer.
