Really amazing and pretty outlook view. The summit is a little disappointing but the outlook spot more than makes up for it. Hike is not too bad, just over an hour each way.

Great hike! Took about two hours to go out and back, the view was beautiful and the trail was well-marked

Our group followed the blue trail. At 0.1 miles left, saw only yellow mark on the trees; should also include a blue mark above the yellow mark to let us know we are close to the scenic outlook view. With a couple of trees down with blue marks, place blue marks just on trees still standing right by them. Just a suggestion. Great scenic views!

We parked along mountain road and were the only ones on the trail. Some of the trails apps can be confusing so if you just want the two hour loop with the lookout and summit, then that is around 3.5-4 miles total. There is also a map near the start of the trail where you can take a picture of the various routes. Trails are well marked. The blue arrows clearly mark the trail and then I recommend taking the yellow arrows to get to the summit and the blue arrows again to come back down (trail starts with blue arrows, turns yellow til summit, and the blue again to go down). On the yellow portion of the trail it does require some climbing with the metal ladders but I found this easy and fun and most people can easily handle. No need to go back down on the ladder as the blue trail has no ladders. Wear hiking boots as the trail gets muddy.

Great hike with a lot of climb involved. There are some really interesting spots to observe, especially at the beginning where the pine trees are in rows, almost looks like a movie set.

Beautiful with a nice view of Island Pond. The trail was not muddy despite recent rains.

The trailhead is a beautiful stand of high canopy pines. Relatively easy incline for the first half. If you take the left fork to the basin 'loop' (yellow marked trail) you will have a steep incline That includes an iron rung ladder that was hammered into the rock face. If you take the right fork at the half (blue marked trail) it is less steep but longer to the summit. View at the summit is limited by trees. There is a good but narrow view of island pond.
