Harwood Hill Motel

Great place! Very clean, trendy and creative art all around. The front office staff was very friendly. I checked out all the motels in the area and was creeped out by them- was happy to find this hidden gem! It is also next to a public house restaurant with great food and a pool table. We walked over to eat.

The bathroom products are scented beautifully. The included breakfast was a nice selection and you carry it back to your room on a little tray.

We enjoyed our stay and will be returning when in the area next.

We enjoyed our stay at this motel. The art on the walls in our room and the office/breakfast area, as well as the sculptures on the lawn, provided a unique twist. The room was clean and the bathroom was renovated, although small. The staff were all very friendly!

My aunt and uncle have been coming here for years though it was my first visit. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, special shout out for the soaker tub that I took full advantage of. But the staff are welcoming and kind, the grounds are beautiful and we had a fantastic time. Thanks again! Hope to come back sometime soon!

We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped on our road trip from Maine to Ohio. Just needed a bed to sleep but this motel was much more. Clean, beautifully decorated and the area is gorgeous. Great place to stay and economical.

I booked 2 rooms for my family to stay in while visiting me during the Harvest Festival. They loved it! They loved the location, the rooms, Fire pit and Breakfast served in the open door garage. They plan to stay there when they come back. This place is a gem.

This little gem is an amazing place to stay. The room was large, clean, modern amenities, great washroom, bed was comfortable. The views of the mountains from this motel were beautiful. Close to downtown Bennington, the monument and museum and Hemmings Motors. Really close to three of the covered bridges too. Friendly staff, good basic breakfast included. I give this place two thumbs up!! Great price, great location, very comfortable, highly recommended!

Fully renovated vintage motel in beautiful Bennington area. The room was modern and clean. The owner was very responsive and the country setting was so beautiful! There's a great restaurant and bar next door. Highly recommend!

I adore this motel❤ I took my husband to Mount Snow for the weekend, 02/24/23, for his birthday and went snowmobiling. I'm so happy I booked this motel. It is cozy, quiet, and has beautiful art pieces on the walls. My room had the feel of a master bed, it was roomy, clean, bright, and had a big picture window. The front desk host was amazing! He is very friendly and personable. This motel is convenient to Mount Snow and local businesses. I would definitely stay here again!😊

Super clean and cute motel! Very friendly reception and owner. Rooms were updated but retained a nostalgic feel (room 10 has amazing wallpaper!). The breakfast spread was great. Would definitely stay again.

We called this motel at the last possible minute due to losing our lodging unexpectedly, and they could not have been nicer. They also accommodated an early arrival on the spot. Our dog loved the lawn for running. Perfectly run old fashioned establishment. Not to mention our room was lovely and the soaps and shampoo were lux.

I, my girlfriend, and our dog Brandi stayed there a few days ago. We were looking for a "Mom & Pop" vs a chain motel, and boy oh boy were we happy we found Harwood Hills. Put simply, I just can't say enough good. The room was beautifully done and very clean. The grounds were awesome. We took a little tour around and checked out all the "garden art". Beautiful views of distant mountains! I was a Facilities Manager for 20 years and I don't find most places like this that I go to be up to my standards, but these grounds and buildings are obviously very well maintained. I'm not easily impressed, but I was impressed by Harwood. And the people? Heath at the front desk was great. Had a nice long conversation when I checked in, and the next morning when I went to the front office to check out I met the owner (whose name escapes me - sorry!) and she was so sweet! We live in Central Maine, but hope to have a longer stay at Harwood at some point and check out the area more as we love to hike and Vermont is beautiful!

Y’all…we stayed here during Winter Storm Elliot. People were slip-siding all over the road so we decided to stop early. Found this this little dog friendly gem. They were so kind and the vibe is cozy and quirky. In the morning they have breakfast and you take it to your room on a little tray. There was even a snowy trail out back for our pup to bound around on. Definitely plan to come back!

Wonderfully quirky place. Listen, it’s a traditional drive-up-to-your-door motel. But, our room was very clean and comfy, simply and nicely appointed with local art on the walls. The grounds are terrific with picnic tables, tree swing and fire pit. The fellow who took our reservation over the phone was great and gave me confidence that this was a great choice sight unseen.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Everything here is thoughtfully executed with love and care from the new furnishings, linens and art to the earth friendly breakfast utensils. You’ll find no styrofoam here. To take an older place and make it more beautiful….. well done, I applaud you!

Came to the area for my grandmother's 99th birthday. This is a fantastic little spot that is close to ANYTHING you might need. The staff is more than welcoming, super friendly, and ready to help. The place is thoroughly cleaned and the grounds are well-maintained. Highly recommend!

We always have a pleasant stay here. Staff are kind and friendly, rooms are tidy, picnic table in back yard to enjoy your dinner with a view of the Monument. Breakfast was included, a nice treat, we met travellers, staff gave us travel tips. We will be back and we recommend this motel.

Quaint, drive up to the door old fashion style motel. We had a good size room with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee and tea maker, and wifi. The most important thing to me when traveling is cleanliness. The motel was immaculate. The continental breakfast was adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The refrigerator in the room was making noise and it disturbed my sleep. The next morning they changed it. Near to stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would use them again when in the area. Thank you Martha and Heath for your hospitality.

This is a wonderful little oasis! I can't wait to come back here some day. It is clean without overwhelming perfumes, and friendly.

Cutesy, small, motor-lodge-type place with friendly service and good pricing.
It's also in a very convenient spot - on historic 7A just above Bennington.

Not many places had vacancies so we tried Harwood Hill and I think if we come back to the area we will stay here again. I believe we stayed in their least expensive room type on the "old wing side" but the room was great. The older/cheaper side has a cute paint job from outside (each unit is a different color of the rainbow) and has the better placement/views vs the renovated wing.
Maybe the shower stall is a little tight if you aren't thin (we are) and you should spring for the more expensive room with a bathtub/shower but I'm reaching to find a negative at this point.
