I ordered new strings which came promptly, with clear installation instructions. To a relatively new bassist, the instruction sheet was priceless. The photos show my 1951 Epiphone B4, and my 1936 King Mortone, both with low tension Evah Pirazzi’s. Sound great and easy to play!

Gollihur is the MAN! Not only does he run an amazing shop, but he himself is a super knowledgeable and helpful guy. I joined a hard-gigging bluegrass band back in September, and my upright bass rig needed some upgrades. Since then, I’ve bought new strings, a new bridge, a new pickup, a new bow, and a new h-clamp for my microphone ALL from Gollihur. I have purchased some of my main amplification gear from Gollihur Music over the past decade or so. My latest purchase is a Traynor Bass Amp for studio and practice use. Just as with all my past purchases, Gollihur Music did a great job getting my order filled and delivered to me in a prompt and professional manner. I am very satisfied with all my interactions and transactions with the folks at Gollihur. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I needed a bow clip for orchestra. Typically I use a quiver but I found that removing the quiver gives me a much better sound. I searched for a bow clip online and immediately found the Arco Clip Hook at Gollihur. Ordering was very easy. Checkout and payment were also very simple. The clip arrived when it said it would. As for the function, the clip works great. It attached directly to the music stand and gives me a logical and safe place for my bow when I’m not playing and during breaks.

Good quality wooden replacement double bass German style bow for a composite bow purchased elsewhere that kept breaking. Cool black hairs on this bow. Excellent tone and bowing improvement. Excellent customer support, tips, and shipping came just in time to use in a contest. Recommended.

I have been buying strings, parts, cases, etc from gollihur for a number of years. I have never had any issues in the quality of the merchandise. In most cases, they have gone overboard to make sure I was happy with my purchase, including follow up contact to “check up” after the fact. I HIGHLY recommend their business. I purchased an “Ed” package upright bass from Gollihur music and received it roughly 5 weeks ago. I needed a bass for loud gigs set up for rockabilly that could be a workhorse. This instrument fits my needs perfectly. It’s much more robust than my hybrid Christopher bass and surprisingly slightly louder. The pickup system is also much better than I anticipated. It was a long wait but worth it. Thanks!

They seem to have everything I need when it comes to bass. Quick shipping and great communication. I needed a Belcanto low B-string for my NS WAV5 and could not find it anywhere, but they had it.
