What can you say bad about this Mom and Pop burger joint? I can't think of anything.

Burgers grilled right out in the open, with a nice helping of onions that help to season that griddle. Good quality buns. Good meat patty, great pickles. Grab one with cheese. I went light on onion and they still had excellent taste. Fries were really good also. Give them a try. I don't think you will be dissatisfied. Great cheeseburgers!

A true experience! Can't think of the last time I ate at a place like this... so much yet so simple. Took a few coworkers here for lunch as we passed through town and they all very much so enjoyed the experience! It was up for sale at the time we visited, hopefully they find the right new owner(s) who change little if anything. A definite stop when I pass through again. I highly recommend you check them out!

This is likely the best diner in Washington, Indiana. The staff here are great, friendly, and professional. Make sure you visit with some of the locals while in here. You will encounter some rather fine folks here. We prefer their breakfast but their whole menu is pretty good. They have remodeled and improved their restrooms with two new spacious ares.

I called in for a 6 pack to go.. I got there a few minutes later than what they said.. it wasn't ready.. and that was okay, but no one asked me why I was there, even though several people looked at me sitting there with money in my hand. One lady finally did acknowledge me and went to see if my order was up.. it wasn't, but she walked past me and didn't tell me anything.. this went on for several minutes.. I finally received my order, and yes, the sandwiches were hot and fresh. I just thought it was rude not to inform me what was going on or give me an estimate on how long it would be.

Traveling and googled restaurants - saw this advertised so we stopped to eat. AMAZING food- such a step back in time- great service, prices can’t be beat- friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend- we loved it!!!

My double cheeseburger was phenomenal. I actually make pretty good hamburgers and they taste just like mine, that's pretty phenomenal

Good old fashioned American comfort food! Great value for what you get. The whole restaurant has that down home atmosphere. As you look around you see people from the community sitting in the booths and tables just fellowshipping and catching up on the latest gossip.

Good food. Good service. Nice folks. Burger was perfect and the hash was amazing and perfectly crisp. Tables could be a bit bigger... But I could use a diet.

White Steamer is one of a kind! The atmosphere is the old time diner setting with the grill within eye sight from every booth in the front. The food is something you can’t get anywhere else, not to mention how great the burgers are! I highly recommend taking the time to relax & enjoy yourself with a good ol fashioned milkshake!

They're normally pretty busy. Today was no different. I placed my order, received my bag of burgers, and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. Best burgers in town. The tell tale sign of the steamer burgers greatness, by the time I made my 7 minute walk home, the bag was so greasy I could just about see straight through it. Friendliest service you could ask for. The waitress was insistent on me letting her refill my to-go cup with drink before I left. As someone who tries not to be a hassle, it's nice to know it's not an issue for them to go the extra mile. Best burger spot in town.

If you're looking for a good ol' diner experience , this is the place! Polite staff, great food you'd expect from a true diner. They even have malts! It's for sale and truly hope the new owner keep the menu/recipes EXACTLY as is. Skip the fast food and go here.
