Walnut Street Variety Shop

The owners are incredibly welcoming. The prices are more than what you'd pay on Amazon but, you're also supporting local businesses so there's that. The store was clean, organized, and well stocked. At first I thought it was a toy store yet the antique and craft items changed that thought. We ended up with a yellow bus my son had picked and he played with it for quite a while.

Set aside some time and visit a store that features high-quality toys (extensive Melissa and Doug selection) and unique gift items for all ages. I wish my work schedule allowed me more opportunity to shop here. I always find something to purchase, even if I'm not sure what I want. It's no longer on Walnut Street, but it is a joy to visit its location on Main Street in Batesville, IN.
One note: it does not have a wheelchair accessible entrance or ramp due to the nature of the building.

Friendly people and big variety of items for a small-town store. Nice collection of vintage items. Found a few hard-to-find items. Worth the visit.
