Nature's Mercantile is a wonderful, local, treasure of Historic Downtown Auburn. Local artisan created soaps, candles, lotions, and more as well as collaborations with other local providers to offer teas, coffees, kombucha, jerkeys, and lots of other foods. Wonderful decor, paying homage to earth and life. In addition to all this, there are educational classes for kids and groups to learn the craft of candle and soap making.

While visiting Auburn for the ACD Club Festival, I happened upon Nature's Mercantile. From the first step in the door I was greeted with happy employees (or possible owner) and an aroma that also was just happy! I bought a candle to use in my hotel room that didn't smell particularly good (the hotel room), but I didn't have any way to light it. I asked if they sold matches and they did not, but the girl that greeted me when I walked in said, "hold on a minute," and left. She was back a moment later with a book of matches! The scents of the candles made it hard to choose and there were many other items here that if I lived in town, I would be back there often. On top of great service, when I lit the candle and let it burn for a couple hours, it did it's job in the room and it barely seemed to burn down at all. I am looking forward to continuing to burn the candle at home. Overall, a short encounter that left a positive experience from kind people and a great product!

Heather is so nice and knowledgeable about different skin ingredients to help my eczema. Her soaps and candles are amazing and smell heavenly. Her shop is a must visit in Auburn 💖

I love this place. Heather is absolutely great to her customers and very knowledgeable about the products she carries. She is an expert in her craft, and a supporter of other's crafts. You have got to stop in. She has a large selection of items, there's a surprise hiding around every corner.

This is such a great shop! I’ve purchased several things from Heather. Crystals, lotions and soaps just to name a few. Soaps are great quality and smell fantastic. Lotions leave my skin feeling great and moisturized. I keep coming back for more.

This is a wonderful small shop up town! I came in for soulful shirts and left with things that help me. Heather is very knowledgeable about the products she sells. I've never even heard of at peace drops before yesterday but I feel like they help calm my anxiety. I will definitely be back in soon for some more stuff. You won’t find a store that’s genuinely cares about her customers the way she does. Very knowledgeable about her products, skin conditions, and which products would be best for you to use. 💕
Edited after using products: the moons and stars moisture bar is my fav! It's a solid lotion/oil, and my skin loves it. The Rustic Jasmine soap is lovely. My skin doesn't feel 'stripped' like it does after commercial soap use, but it also does feel 'slimy' like I do after using Dove. It's perfect, and the scent delicately feminine. The shampoo bar in Pachouli smells sooooo nice and I will make this a regular part of my routine. And I found multiple uses for the conditioning bar...it doubles as a shave cream and smells SO much better than 'actual' shave creams...plus it moisture. All in all I am loving my products and can't wait to try more!

My daughter and I frequent the shop and I’m yet to be disappointed by any products. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, if she doesn’t have an answer then she’s gonna get you one! I recommend the shop to everyone

This is the best store in town and she is the nicest lady. The prices are phenomenal and she is truly so helpful and I love the conversation I’ve had with her every time I’ve been in! It’s hard to walk out of the door because the energy in there is so serene.

Great and friendly customer service. Good prices and products, and she always gets my custom orders just perfect. Pluse she carries some gluten free stuff the cookies are to die for. Highly recommend if you get a chance stop by the soaps are wonderful.

Great earthy store housed in an old Auburn hotel. Yummy treats. essential oils. Hair and beard items and homemade soaps. Heather( the business owner) is friendly, helpful, and creatively smart! Highly recommend checking this place out!

This hidden little gem, in the heart of Dekalb Co. Is easily overlooked. But don't miss out on the hidden treasures within. We went in with a specific list of items, and was able to find all of them. As a bonus I found some really awesome, artistic, original cartoon design pins that had been created by the shop owners son. Xx💚

Love this shop, tea, soaps, insense, polished stones, more stuff then I can remember. The soap is fantastic!! A must see!
