Charlie Mae's

So my family and I was there back in 2020 on a family vacation to explore the southern states. We still think about how good their food was and how friendly the community was to us during our short stop for lunch. It is definitely worth the trip. If we get back to Lake Village which we are considering on a possible relocation area we will be back☺ thanks for the wonderful southern experience! Visitors from Nebraska

Fantastic biscuits. Gravy needs to be homemade for those delicious biscuits. Omelet was really good but overcooked. Potatoes are wonderful. Ceiling needs a coat of paint. I recommend for sure.

Not too many options in the area. But the food was good. I had the pork chops, greens,beans and squash. I would definitely recommend this place

We came early Saturday morning on our road trip, we have 5 kids. We were delighted by the food and the other guests. Our kids had been cooped up and were giggling away, we felt right at home. Everyone was friendly. We just got basic breakfast but it good.

Food??? Awesome! Literally the BEST green beans I've EVER eaten... Mashed potatoes? On POINT! All in all; 10 out of 10 stars.
We had our 25 year class reunion banquet there and was very pleased with the food and accommodations, but the A/C didn't work or was on the fritz...in JULY...
High regards to the owner and cooks, but please have cool air for patrons while visiting.

Great FOOD.. EXCELLENT service! Try the homemade pancakes for breakfast or the bacon burger for lunch! You will not be disappointed! ✨

Kinda hard to find. Just a local diner, the sign is small and doesn't really grab your attention. Well worth finding though! The food was excellent. We had breakfast there and everyone enjoyed it, even our kids who are picky eaters! I had the biscuits and gravy (excellent) Staff is friendly and will take good care of you!

We've been to Charlie Mae's twice now, and it's consistently very good. They have a buffet, which works well if you want your food very quickly, and are OK with the current selections, which change. That's what I've done both times, and my wife's done once, the other time ordering from the menu, which she also said was great. The quality of food from the buffet is very good. It includes a meat and three sides, as well as a bread and a dessert. Both times, my meat has been fried chicken, and it's been excellent fried chicken both times. I've had their mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, greens, peas, and corn, and been happy with all of that. The service is also very friendly, though also very busy, as they're popular with locals, and even seem to do a lot of drive-through and take-out. For such a tasty, satisfying meal, the prices are very reasonable. If you want to get out without a lot of wait, be sure to go up to the cashier, by the drive-through area, as it may take a bit for them to bring a check if you're there at a popular time.

The only reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because everyone there but the wait staff deserves it. Food was amazing. True southern homemade cooking. Waitress either forgot or straight ignored us to the point I got up and got things my table requested. First day that we tried it I didn't eat much because I wasn't very hungry, the sweet cook came out to make sure everything was okay since I didn't eat much asking if there was anything she could possibly get me. That woman alone would have received 5 stars from me because you could tell it truly bothered her that she thought I didn't like her food and was willing to fix it. It's refreshing to have someone like that truly care about her customers experience.

Good food and welcoming environment from the staff and community….. I was wrong to say good food. That is the best breakfast I have ever had. God bless the whole chain involved with making my plate.

Yum!! We stopped here on our way home from vaca and loved everything we got! Burgers were juicy, buns were toasted, chicken tenders were tender, taco salad was great, and the French fries are crinkle cut and crispy on the outside! Also, it’s family owned and everyone was awesome!!

A litte hard to see/find but it's on the left (first parking lot) when facing the front of McDonald's. We stopped by on Thursday for lunch cafeteria style and food was awesome and inexpensive. They served tea, lemonade and red Kool aid that was sweet like it should be😋. I wish I lived closer cause this is hidden treasure.
