Kin Folk's BBQ

This is a simple no frills BBQ joint. We ordered the BBQ sandwich with hot BBQ sauce and cole slaw. This is the BBQ we have been searching for our entire vacation. The hot sauce is spicy enough to have a kick but not hot enough to melt your taste buds. The slaw is just creamy enough to be sauced well and the perfect amount was on the sandwich to provide a nice textural counterpoint. The pulled pork was tender, flavorful, and beautifully smokey and piled perfectly on a well toasted bun. Service was quick and friendly. The kin folk know their BBQ and we will be back before we leave town.

I have never had bad service or bad food here. I've been every time I've been to Mtn. View in vacation. Last night I had the bbq brisket sandwich. I've had weightloss surgery and I don't eat more than a small child does. They were more than happy to accommodate me and make me a child size with child size price too! The meat had an amazing smoky flavor. It was so delicious, that tonight I'm going back to get me another one for supper!!! The coleslaw that came with ot was nice and refreshing. And the fried green tomatoes and ranch were soooo good!!! There is sort of a new crew that owns the place now. And they are so sweet! Take the time out to actually talk to them at a time when they aren't super busy! And if you do not like something, please inform them! They will do right by it and fix it for you!!!

ETA: I came back tonight and got another brisket sandwich. Plus I ordered fried pickles. Normally I never eat pickles. And I have never found fried pickles I like. But OMG!!! Theirs is soooo freaking good!!!

The pork sandwich is excellent. It needs extra sauce so ask. The pork was so tender and juicy! The French fries are real home made like sliced potato wedges with the perfect balance between crunchy and soft. The French fries are the best I have had since McDonald's ruined theirs in the 1980s when they switched to vegetable oil for frying. Also the fried cherry pie was excellent. Baked beans were canned and potato salad is not homemade.

The service is excellent though you order at a counter rather than waitress.

Bbq sandwich is super delicious. Meat is very tender and flavorful. The freshly made burgers are a must! Seasoned patties topped to order. Hot and yummy. Fried green tomatoes were hot and well made. Service was friendly and attentive. Indoor, screened porch, and outdoor seating. Very clean.
Definately going back.

I stopped in for the Brisket but they were out so I had the pulled pork platter. Very good.

Wonderful food--especially the meat, potato salad and rolls. The staff was very friendly and helped us with ordering and refilling drinks for us. If we are in the area, we would definitely eat here again.

We had originally went across the street to the ice cream shop for ice cream, but they had a sign up that said "Be right back." After waiting about 15 minutes, we met another group who had been waiting almost an hour, and they told us Kin Folks BBQ had ice cream also.
So, we went across the street and got our ice cream there, and it was so good! They had about 8 hand-dipped flavors in fresh waffle cones or cups, and the servings were huge! The people were friendly and prices very good also! We will definitely be back next time we are in Mt View!

I have eaten here several times, both inside and using curbside pickup! I always get the pork BBQ sandwich with slaw and medium sauce and FF and it is very good!

BEST BBQ EVER!!! I highly recommend this family owned business!! The owners are the absolute sweetest. Workers make sure you are well taken care of. I recommend the fried jalapeños!! So yummy!!

This is a very nice place with good food and decent prices. It’s got a screened in porch if you like to eat outside along with some picnic tables or you can eat inside with the air conditioning if it is too hot. It’s a bit crowed at times, but what do you expect if the food is good. I loved the French Fried Pickles. Those were new to me, but really good. It is located across the street from the picking park.

I had an amazing Pimento Cheese Burger. The BBQ and fried food were very good as well. Found the signs and rules posted throughout the building to be excessive, but the food is so good you can eat past it. The proximity to the square and music makes the location perfect for a quick lunch.

I don't eat BBQ enough to say if it's extraordinary in any way. However, this place was highly recommended by a few locals. Parking was ok but I imagine by late spring/summer it will be packed, especially with all the music being played at the town squares. Staff was extremely polite and even checked on our table when lunch rush was happening. Free refills on fountain drinks. Got the monster BBQ pork sandy with fries and BBQ beans. Fries weren't much to write home about but everything else was quite good. Even took half home and 2 days later was still tasty, sign of a good sandy!

Great atmosphere! The seating options outside or in the patio area are great! The food is a little expensive but you get what you pay for because it's very good!! Hands down the best chicken strips around!
