Hotel on North

We have had at least four excellent stays at Hotel on North. The size, cleanliness and decor of the rooms is wonderful. They are calm, bright and comfortable and have everything I could ask for and more. We love little touches like three kinds of tea, fresh coffee on an enamel tray, velvet wingback chairs and dimmable lights in the bathroom.
Staff is thoughtful and professional.
We also appreciate the artwork and photographs in the lobby and entrance, it’s well curated and interesting.
The game room has fun options and we always make use of it, even if only for 15 minutes.
The 2nd floor sitting room is a lovely space, what a great option to sit and spend some time there, especially for my teenage kids when they’ve stayed.
One last thing, thanks for welcoming our dogs and making it easy - we really, really appreciate it!

This hotel was very clean and comfy. I enjoyed my stay. I will recommend it.

If you want to be a bit pampered this is the place for you.
From the minute you walk in until the door swings shut behind you as you leave, it is a joy to spend time here.
The staff on the desk is superbly trained and very friendly. If you need anything, from a cup of decaf coffee to bathrobes to and great place to hike or visit , they have the answer.
The rooms are comfortable with great mattresses and pillows.
Love the center shower head for a treat
Couple of TVs and a small but serviceable refrigerator complete the comforts.
Two closets make for no fighting over who gets the most space
I cannot wait to come back.

This hotel is conveniently located for visiting the Berkshires. I think if it as an eclectic boutique hotel. Our standard king room was large, comfortable, large, well furnished, and did I mention large? It is on the main drag of the largest city and county seat of Berkshire County, so it has traffic, people, and the opposite of country inn seclusion... if traffic noise is anathema to you, you might not be happy. If you are accustomed to city noises, it's on the mild side. The FD is block away, and while we saw lots of engines out and about, we never heard a siren. While the parking lot was full, we only saw one other guest, so it's quiet and peaceful on the inside. Our room faced an atrium between the second and third floors, and there was nary a sound from the other occupants. Kudos to the hotel for the use of recycled factory (I assume) wood and metal fittings, and the nice touch of a mini-library in the room with books I would actually look at.

Come on... I know this is a business trying to make it stay alive, but for $255 per night are you kidding?!?! It's pretty, and the food was ok, but the room?!?! There's paint all over the bathroom floor, and no working fan. The sink stand is rusted out at the floor. You can't just make rooms spacial and add some books and expect to get the money you're charging in the area you're in. Honestly, I expected much more, after looking at it for so long, than I got. Sorry

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for us. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, with a very comfortable king bed and a really nice bathroom. It's a neat building and I even liked the creaky floors. We would most definitely stay there again.

One of my favorite places to stay in the Berkshires! The next visit to Hotel on North my room choice will be the Library Room. I can’t wait!!

We loved out stay at the Hotel on North. Very quaint boutique hotel and ideally located to various tourist spots in the Berkshires.
Trip was for a family of 4. The reception area, hallways and elevator was well kept and clean.
The room were spacious and with 2 big teenagers did not feel crowded. The room had a retro Bluetooth radio, book shelves filled with books and well maintained. The bed was comfortable.
Our room were facing the Main Street and you would hear the traffic at times but a deal breaker.
Bathroom was HUGE with all the amenities. Overall i would book the hotel again!

The service was really good. They helped arrange floors in our room for our anniversary and even wrote us a card. Our room was cleaned every day without having to ask. So many places have stopped doing this but they do it the right way. I would recommend staying here. I also rarely heard any noise from other guests.

This is a lovely hotel with very attentive staff. The furnishings are nice and the beds quite comfortable. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. I especially liked the well-appointed bathrooms. There are cool antiques of an industrial nature peppered throughout.

I recommend you get a room that doesn’t face the street if you are a very light sleeper, as the main road there has noisy traffic throughout the night, and very bright streetlights.

I asked to be moved to a different room after that first nearly sleepless night, and the new room (#201) was as lovely as the first (#214), and had the bonus of a kitchenette. And of course it was very quiet.

I hope to return to this lovely hotel again in the future, perhaps for a stay longer than just 3 nights.

Amazing independent hotel with super thoughtful touches. Our room had a big separate sitting area, fridge, dog friendly. Would come back anytime.

Whoever designed this hotel really thought of everything -- we had a very comfortable couple-night stay here. Pittsfield has seen better days, but you can kind of forget about that once you enter the hotel. Highly recommend.

Pittsfield is a bit of a depressed town coming out of a slump, not dissimilar to Albany but with better environs. In the midst of the abandoned shops and quietude is this gem. Hotel on North is comfortable, tasteful, elegant, utilitarian and almost luxurious. Our room was huge with a beautifully comfortable bed, adequate coffee, excellent bathroom and products and a hip, chill vibe. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the Berkshires and want to avoid Bed and Breakfasts or small soulless hotels.

All of the staff we met were lovely! The room was very clean, and the hotel was well decorated. The only drawback is that the walls are VERY thin. (If your neighbors are having an enthusiastic romantic getaway, you are likely to hear them).

Loved our stay here. Big room, with chairs for reading and a soft rug. Appreciated the many hooks in the bathroom and the ample towels. I was happy to make use of the Bluetooth radio. I didn't have a reason to use any of the common areas but there were several cute and welcoming setups. Will be happy to stay here again!

The rooms and the servers are outstanding. I absolutely love the ambiance of this entire space. There are elevators (they look nice and move quickly) and a fantastic restaurant downstairs. I ordered a salad and it was very fresh. My room had a carafe full of water 😁 there is a bookshelf with plenty of books 😁 there is wonderful artwork on the walls 😁 and it just has a great industrial chic vibe. There are Edison bulbs all over (which really help me relax) and the room feels very spacious. The stay comes with access to the gym directly behind the hotel which essentially boarders the private parking lot for the hotel. After a certain hour they lock the doors and access to the lot for security reasons (24 hr attendant on call if needed)

I feel as though there are tons of places to get coffee or food right around the corner, and there are events happening routinely if you take a look around. I'll be staying here again for sure!

Hotel on North was great for us. My teenager and I were taking a mini-road trip from Boston to the Berkshires and it was a great overnight stop. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. The decor is really cool - renovated industrial - and comfortable. The bathrooms were especially nice, with white tile and marble. I don't usually like hotel bathroom products but these were great. The beds were comfortable and not worn in. Being able to charge our EV car right there in the parking lot was extremely convenient. The front desk staff made great restaurant recommendations. Check in/out was easy. Thank you!

We worked with Hotel on North for our wedding. Working with Josh and his team was an absolutely amazing experience. Every question was answered, every need was met. We booked the Library Suite for the weekend which was the talk of the wedding. Our ceremony and reception took place in the Shire Hall which is the perfect cozy venue for a smaller wedding. I cannot recommend this group enough! We could not imagine getting married anywhere else!

What a gem of a hotel! Beautiful room that is well decorated. I was in the part of the hotel that was once a factory. Old wooden floors with brick front wall and industrial look designed accent furniture that gives an old style modern vibe. The food in the restaurant was very good (breakfast & dinner) By pass the cookie cutter hotels, this is the place.
