What can one say about a place so unique, the history, the comics (back issues galore), and the owner… all equal a great experience you can not get anywhere else! I feel like I’m in comic heaven and I stepped back in time when shopping here.

A superb comic book retail location. The proprietor is kind an will help you with anything you need. If you're interested in comic books in the Appleton area this is your spot. Even if they don't carry what you're looking just ask and they will order it for you. 5 stars period

The name holds true-- if you're looking for the classics, this place is a legendary archive in comic history, with the staff being it's noble protectors and librarians. The staff has a very intricate knowledge in what happens in most of the issues and are happy to dig deep into a conversation about the philosophy of fantasy villains and perfectly imperfect antiheroes. A fascinating trip into a hard-to-find culture!

I started trying to finish runs of mostly 80s and early 90s pre-Image excess comics I overlooked or couldn't afford as a kid these past few years, and really ramped up my efforts during the Pandemic. Power House has a HUGE collection of ORGANIZED, fairly-priced back issues that helped me fill in some gaps when I stopped by while traveling through for work. Had a really nice conversation with the owner while there, really appreciated his joy of comics! Definitely a 5- star comic shop.

Absolutely the best comic book shop around. Great selection of books in store, all the regular monthly books from DC, Marvel, and the smaller publishers. The store also has a huge selection of graphic novels and plenty of mature level books as well. In the center of the store there is also a huge selection of back issues from both modern and vintage series.

The owner is a great guy, willing to help with recommendations or even just to talk to. If you live in the Appleton area and like comic books, this is the place to be.

Love the collection of toys, comics, trinkets and such. Has a Huge selection of comic books to choose from. I always walk out with atleast 20$ worth

I've been collecting comics for over 4 decades and have visited shops all over the country and have a clue about a quality shop. I can't imagine negative remarks about this place. No shop has everything and Power House has a very broad selection of some very good titles. The staff is always courteous and helpful regardless of whose on shift.

I'm a time when running a brick and mortar comic shop has nearly gone the way of the dodo bird, Power House Comics keeps the tradition alive and well. Zach is very knowledgeable and friendly on everything comics and the shop is well organized. Absolutely recommend you stop in and see what they have to offer.
