It’s been one year at Midwest Carriers. Best move I ever made. I have the exact hours I wanted and I work the night shift. (Which I am meant for). Every one in the office is very helpful and management is top level. Known Dave VanHandel for over 40 years, great man and so is his son Eric.

I have worked at Midwest for a little over a year now and couldn't be happier with my experience. The owners will treat you like family and your coworkers will become lifelong friends. My husband and I drove as a team for 2 1/2 years with Midwest before I transitioned into a Driver Employment Specialist role with them. Since the first day, we felt like we were part of a family. When you walk into the office, you can have a conversation with the Owner, Dave (who still drives truck), and the President, Eric, as you're passing through. The entire team is supportive, friendly, and always helpful. Our truck was always meticulously maintained and comfortable. We were trusted to plan our route and our schedule after establishing ourselves as safe and conscientious drivers. No micro-managing. If we ever had to park the truck due to weather, our judgement call was never questioned.

We shopped around for just the right fit before landing with Midwest, and were we ever glad we chose to go with them! I'm proud to continue to work for the team in a different role.

Midwest Carriers is a great company to work for. I have drove for Midwest just over a few years now. Pay is good, employee benefits are great and the trucking equipment is very well maintained. The owners are wonderful people that really care about their drivers. They treat you like family. I never seen a place treat people so well like Midwest Carriers does. I always enjoy going to work. Office staff, mechanics and the other drivers are all really friendly and fun to work with.

I feel more at home, more comfortable, more in control and more supported here at Midwest than I ever have. “This employer genuinely cares for you both professionally and personally”. I have been here just over a year now, and I have no regrets joining this Phenomenal Team!!!

I have been driving for 28 years for different companies and I have finally found a great company. They treat you like family and the equipment is the best in the industry. The pay package and benefits are the best I have seen.

I have been here for a year now after leaving the transportation industry in 2004 after 15 years to work in fulfillment, materials, and procurement. Much has changed since then but the values of this company has not, the Van Handel family has shown me they have consistently met all the demands this industry has challenged them with in regards to new DOT regulations, technology that drives it, and equipment before it was mandated.
Currently this industry is in a recession but Midwest Carriers is still purchasing new high end tractors and trailers without taking away pay and benefits from drivers because they have been good stewards with finances over 30 years.
I am on the flat pay program and yes it works well to have a consistent paycheck with the opportunity to make more.
If you are a person who wants to contribute, work hard, work with others and treat others with respect and dignity as most of us want to be treated then Midwest Carriers is the company for you! If you’re not happy with typical daily frustrations all truck drivers deal with this may not be a good fit as we share some of the some of the same problems again this is trucking, in my opinion you can’t change that by turning another key. The difference here is you can make the call to the President or CEO and call it out for what it is, and expect a very rational response.
I can say a lot more...I have had some disappointments with people here from time to time, I have had times were I should have been called out for doing something foolish but our Saftey people decided to issue grace instead.
It’s not perfect “this is trucking were Murphy’s Law will prevail,” my goal is to look at each trip as another adventure and do my best. Overall I have it pretty darn good here.

V & S Midwest Carriers hauled a load for our company that because troublesome due to production issues with the customer. ALL of the V & S staff(especially Grant, Cory and driver Phil) were amazing to work with and remained pleasant and professional throughout the entire order. Job well done!!

Midwest is awesome place to work. People are so friendly and help each other out. With the cost of living they managed to get us great insurance with a 9% decrease. Gave us all a very nice increase on our salary drivers and office personal. Cannot say more then I am happy to work for Midwest Carriers!

I had the pleasure of working at Midwest Carriers for a year.I had to leave because of mother having cancer (RIP) 2/07/22 They where understanding of why i had to leave to help take care of my mom.it is a great company to work for they really do treat you like family! everyone there are great people!!

One of the best Trucking Companies to work for and build your career at. They have the miles and well planned lanes so if you are open to working a lot they will have a lot of opportunity here. Just know if you are are out here to chase miles, and willing to work whenever and go wherever there is probably nowhere else that will be as rewarding for you to work at. Started here 7 years ago at 23, by far the smartest financial decision I've ever made haha, Know your value as a driver, check if it's higher at Midwest.

Greatest company to work for. We team drove for 5 years and now I stay home. But my husband continues to drive for the company. He likes how he is treated as a name instead of number. They give awesome incentives and treat you with respect. New equipment and fuel bonus. Hard not to love this company.

I drove OTR at Midwest Carriers for 7 years, and when life changed a bit and I needed to be home more, I didn't even look anywhere else. I love the people here and landed myself in the office as a recruiter - I may have a biased opinion since I work here, but I think it's saying something being a trucker with 7 yrs exp that could go anywhere, but there's nowhere I'd rather be. I'm staying put and for good reason. This is family. :) If you're a driver and want me to recruit you, I'll tell ya' all about it!! Call and ask for Robin! ;)

I’ve never had a problem with Midwest. They are always so friendly organized and always answer the phone. This is my second time working for them. I left to try working local LTL but too much physical work. Midwest took me right back. And I got my old position back as a spotter at Nestle. In my 15 years as a professional driver this is by far the best Company I have worked for. Definitely the place to retire from.

Hands down the best place I’ve worked for. Working here is the best decision I could have made. Everything that was promised to me before I started working here has lived up to my expectations. All the people that work here are so nice and will help you out with any issues. I love being able to get ahold someone at anytime of the day and after hours is amazing too. My home time and miles are exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier with the truck and the equipment here. The service department is very helpful and gets me back on the road asap when breakdowns occur. When I’m up in Kaukauna I feel like I’m at home with a new family.

I started trucking in 1978, and was an owner operator since 1980 until 2019. My point is I've been around trucking along time.
I'm now a company driver for Midwest and have never been happier than I am here!!

God's honest truth!! Incredible equipment, driver manager that live to be helpful, easily attainable mileage bonuses and more!! My only regret is the time I wasted elsewhere. I love it here!!
