Fountain Chateau B & B

Beautiful! Clean! Great host! Great conversation! Excellent food! Susanne treated everyone special! She made our anniversary extra special with wine, flowers, and chocolate. This was our first B&B experience and we'd definitely recommend it! We had privacy when we wanted and fun conversation when we wanted. We'd highly recommended to anyone!

We had our family Easter dinner at the Fountain Chateau B&B this year. It had wheelchair accessibility for my mom who uses a wheeled walker. Both of my parents are 84 years old and they both were able to enter and exit the Chateau without difficulty. The sitting room that is to your right when you enter the front of the restaurant is gorgeous and gives you a feeling of warmth! The Chateau's innkeeper and staff were all friendly and informative. And the food.............was excellent! We had wonderful homemade dishes that were very tasteful! Cheesy potatoes, ham and chicken and the desert dad and I's favorite carrot cake. And it wasn't from a box!!! Mom and our girls loved the lemon cake and mom had seconds on the mandarin orange jello. Everyone went away full and content and we purchased their very wonderful stone coffee mugs. I would go there and eat again and mom and dad are going there again too!! Thanks to the Fountain Chateau B&B we had a very memorable Easter!

Our favorite B&B! Sadly it was recently sold and it will be used for a different purpose. Gorgeous building and area. The owner was a gracious host, fabulous cook, and dear friend! She is finally going to enjoy retirement!

We recently spent three relaxing nights with Suzanne. This was a wonderful first time experience at a Bed and Breakfast! I suspect it has set the bar extremely high for future stays at other B and Bs.

From the high ceilings, beautiful staircases and flooring, to the comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast this B and B gets top marks.

We look forward to staying with Suzanne in the future.

The Fountain Chateau has so much to offer a person away from home. It is an amazing place with 9 beautiful theme rooms. My favorite is The Orient Room. This B&B virtually takes you around the world of art, music and culture wirh each room having a theme. I also like Out Of Africa Room.Every room has it's own private bath. The owner Susanne Soltvedt is a delightful and gracious host. The food is exceptional.

Best place I have stayed. You really need experience the charm and elegance of this Bed and Breakfast. It has private baths which is unusual for a B&B and I love that. The service was excellent and the place was exceptionally clean. The owner is gracious and pleasant to converse with especially if you want to know about the history of this small quaint little town. I encourage everyone to experience the Chateau and you will never want to leave.

We took my brother and sister-in-law to stay at Fountain Chateau for their 50th anniversary. It was a wonderful weekend for us all. We especially enjoyed conversations on the deck, wonderful meals, a relaxing atmosphere, and private rooms/baths. What a special treat to have live music with our Sunday brunch! The innkeeper works tirelessly to provide a pleasant experience. Will surely stay here again.

My husband and I had a lovely overnight for Valentine's Day. Susanne worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful ambience, delicious food, and a relaxing harp concert. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the Fountain Chateau Inn!

A+. Our family of four stayed here in August 2014 and we loved it! Peaceful and relaxing. The owner is kind and caring. We were on a road trip and stayed here instead of finding a hotel. Now, I would go out of my way to stay here or even plan a road trip to include staying here!

Themed rooms are also a unique addition to the experience. One of the most accommodating ladies that ownes and runs the place. Providing a lovely breakfast every morning. Two thumbs up to anyone needing a midway point to meet between Chicago and Minneapolis that is amazing, quit and accommodating.

The owner is a very caring and considerate,the meals are extraordinary, the building and rooms and facilities are first class. The surrounding rural area has treasures to see.

Such an amazing place to stay!! Suzanne has the heart of gold and does a fabulous breakfast.

A great place to get away. There isn't a ton to do in the area, but the B&B is great and the host is very kind.
