Hotel Stebbins

Enjoyed a fabulous Friday fish fry tonight! Started with the amazing cheese curds and onion haystacks and enjoyed the pan fried walleye and baked cornflake walleye. Enjoyed the homemade desserts by Dawn. Our cocktails were fabulous and both the bartender Dawn and server Zack gave us amazing service. We were lucky enough to enjoy some fun conversation with the owner after dinner as well. I highly recommend an evening at Hotel Stebbins, next time we may rent a room so we can stay longer. :)

First visit for dinner and drinks. WOW, what a great experience! Highly recommend stopping for a beer and dinner.

Love the charm of this landmark hotel! Staff was super friendly, rooms clean and spacious. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Algoma!

Went up to Algoma for a work trip and stayed the week. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The staff was great and the owner was great to talk to.

Quick walk to the beach when it's warm enough and short walk to almost anything in Algoma.

The big surprise was the food. Two of the nights we ate at the hotel and the food was fantastic.

We always have a good meal at Hotel Stebbins & the drinks are excellent! 🍷🥩 The Perch Plate & Cowboy Steak are delish!

We had a rehearsal dinner/luncheon there for my son's wedding and I can't say enough about how fantastic my entire experience was. Kristine, the owner, was incredibly helpful in the planning and made herself available to answer all my questions. We had the entire bar for an hour and a half to visit and play a trivia game. The bartender was super friendly and efficient in keeping up with the drink requests for 35 people! We had a family style dinner and the food was sooo good! We got a lot of compliments on the event - the space, the food, and the wait staff. It was a great event! Thank you for a memorable experience! *Also, tons of our family and bridal party stayed at the hotel and loved it! Most gravitated back to the bar for drinks throughout the weekend.

The owner and staff went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. The food was delicious and the old fashions were delicious. Our room was very clean and cozy. My family loved every minute of our stay. We will definitely be back!

Our favorite family meeting place! Kristine is always kind and welcoming to us. Very clean hotel! Love the idea when it's cold our family can stay there and not have to go far to visit. The rooms have character. Our family has been coming here every year for over 30 years or more and always stayed here. The housekeeping Wendy also treats us like family. We love this place!

Four of us ate there on a Sat. night after New Years. The place was empty and at most places, that means the kitchen slacks off. Well, what a surprise. The service was prompt, helpful and friendly. The food was way above what we expected. The salad bar was the best I ever had. Everything was fresh, homemade and unique. I never had carrots taste like that before. In fact nothing tasted like we are used to. The steak was perfect, the bread warm, some of us had the shrimp dishes. Even the shrimp was an unexpected delight. I don't think food at Stebbins has been that good in decades.

Stayed here over Christmas 2020. Very cool old hotel with a lot of character. The restaurant/bar serves very good food and the staff was friendly and helpful. The game room is great too and was a welcome diversion due to everything being closed for the holiday. We are looking forward to staying here next year again and we highly recommend staying here as well. Overall a unique and affordable lodging option just a few miles from the Door County line. But if you don’t feel like traveling the hotel is located within walking distance of Lake Michigan and dining/shopping in Downtown Algoma which is a friendly place worth exploring too.

Awesome owner, awesome staff. Extremely nice. We had three rooms between 6 people for a birthday vacation and we all loved the cute rooms and clean bathrooms. Nice pool table and darts room, easy access in and out, overall we were treated excellent by the staff and we will be making a 3rd trip as soon as possible!!!! Thank you guys!!!!

My husband and I ate here before exhausting every other option we had. We are so very happy we ended up here. Surf and turf was amazing. Staff was so friendly, they were like good friends. We will definitely drive from Milwaukee to eat here again.

Came here during the off season. The staff was lovely. The rooms were super cute and clean, and the food was delicious. Very cottage like, and at a really great access point for walking to fun things.

We went for the food. It was amazing. The steak was so tender I could use a butter knife. Great prices as well. Highly recommend.

Can't speak on the hotel portion, but restaurant was amazing with great menu and staff.

Wonderful hotel! Old and cool- stayed in a room that was recently remodeled. Clean and comfortable, decorated beautifully in cool black/white sheets/blankets. Had the Chef Special in the super-vintage bar- beef tenderloin, twice baked potato, salad bar-- really well prepared. Thumbs up! SUPER FRIENDLY SERVICE!

We recently had our wedding luncheon at Hotel Stebbins. From the moment we first contacted them, through the menu planning, final changes with the number of guests, and the event itself the service and attention to detail was amazing. We chose baked chicken and beef tips and the food was outstanding. Our guests keep telling us how good the food was and that they will frequent the Hotel Stebbins in the future.
So if you are thinking of having your event at Hotel Stebbins - we highly recommend it.

Super hotel. Every hotel room has a different theme. I am staying in the Safari this stay. I am here during the off season when it is quiet and would like to see it when it is peak season. There is a winery and at least two craft breweries close I believe. Lake Michigan is less than two blocks away. There is an awesome bar on the first floor and a dining room as well. Come check this place out. I think you will like it. Feels like a blast from the past. So much character.

We had a two night stay here for a birthday celebration. This building has alot of character. Every room has a different theme (I recommend the the recomend the bayou bend room). The staff and owner was super friendly. This was the second time we stayed here, and we will definitely be back!

Must stay!! This is the perfect blend of historical charm and modern amenities! We had a blast in the bar and the restaurant had amazing food! Our steak melted! It was a perfect way to spend our anniversary!
