The Gentleman who was there answered our Questions.
Our young Grandchildren enjoyed the school books and small chalk tablets and chalk, and Pretended to teach each other.
They rang the teachers bell to "quiet the class"
Also the photos and articles that are on display about the Anti Slavery movement are extensive and very informative.
Lots of old artifacts are displayed, candle makers ext.
A Wonderful place.

A piece if history right in the middle of town. Not very busy the day we stopped so we had a personal tour.

Definitely a place to stop by and learn a bit more about the birth of the Republican Party if you happen to be in the Ripon area

Free fun for all ages. I brought my kids ages 1,4, and 5. They had a blast engaging with antique toys and playing pretend school with the museum curators.

Very interesting and informative place. Stopped here while passing through the town. We were the only family in the school house at the time and was given a tour of the place. The guide was very knowledgeable and had many stories to tell. The tour went over the founding of the party, important people that contributed to the founding, and the president Abraham Lincoln. This is about a 25 minute to 45 minute experience.

It is a small, single room museum. The employee was knowledgeable and gave me a tour which is more like a history lesson when you are in a single room. I learned some things. He was also able to answer some questions. I had more questions but ran out of time. I would take people that have not been there.

It is a one room school. They charge $2 for an adult to receive a presentation. The lady we had was wonderful! She geared the presentation, which wasn't only about the Birthplace of the GOP, to my 6 & 8 year old. They were totally into it and learned a lot!

I've read some of the other reviews. Those that listed poorly I doubt if they have even visited the place. My son had to go to the bathroom. We had to walk next door to a bank and use the bathroom there...no problems, clean, and workers were welcoming and understood why we were there.

My wife Aiza and I were married there in 2017. Great little place with an amazing history. My family roots are in Ripon, WI and we wanted a small wedding so this seemed a wonderful place to make it happen. The staff were great! I wonder if other weddings have occurred there or if ours is the first?

Amazed how many people don't know the parties SWITCHED between 1850's and the Civil Rights. The start of today's GOP probably started somewhere in TN around Andrew Jackson's stomping grounds. Cool to see where the actual first Democrats actually gathered though!

Little White School House is free to visit. Very interesting information about Ripons' history and the founders of the area and Republican party. Free off street parking. Easy to find location. Located in Ripons historic and thriving downtown. Building is restored in and out as modern as an old school house can be. Parking lot and landscaping could use maintenance.

It is small so only spent about 30 minutes to an hour of time here. Learned some interesting unknown facts. So I think it is worth a visit, especially because there is no admission fee.

Did not know this existed until the owners of Rushford Meadery and Winery told us about it. Was a cool little stop for us history lovers

pretty sweet landmark, but it’s pretty much the only thing ripon’s famous for besides washing machines

Got there after close but the outside had well documented information that was still very educational.
