I have had a great experience and made tremendous progress in my mental and emotional health with Scott as my therapist for the last year. He is not for everyone. If you are not willing to show up for the deep emotional healing you will be required to do to transform during the work together, I suggest a different path. Scott does not sugar coat what intuitively comes through and he’s honest. Often I disagree with what he says and weeks later I realize it was my own denial. He cares more about you as a patient than your feelings. He sees the deeper soul yearning to be seen. I have been in 12 step programs for five years and have also worked with psychedelics in supervised healing experiences. I have felt the most grounded and supported in my own healing through my work with Scott. I trust myself and I am learning to feel safe feeling all of my emotional self. I’m also living a life beyond my wildest dreams and I feel really supported as I continue to grow and take healthy risks that my younger self would be baffled by. There is no spiritual bypassing in this work. I’m truly grateful for Scott sharing his innate gifts and providing a safe space for me to explore myself and heal.

I have worked with Scott for almost 2 years and he has been a steady guidepost through a very difficult time in my personal and professional life. His extensive training in psychology (both in and outside of a clinical setting) is complimented by a deep knowledge of spirituality and energetics. His ability to meet you where you are, while staying detached enough for you to go through your process, is profound and necessary for any healthy therapeutic relationship. His style is direct, clear and concise so if you're not ready to dig in and do the work (without projecting your stuff on him and making him the 'bad guy') then he may not be for you. If you want a true professional that is wise beyond his years and committed to your health and personal evolution, then you've found your guy!

I’m so thankful to say that working with Cate has transformed my life in the most immeasurable and spectacular ways. I went searching for a therapist who could honor all my deep feelings and help me navigate living in the world today as a highly sensitive person. Cate’s descriptions about her work on her website really spoke to me. I truly believe Cate’s presence in the world makes this place shine brighter. She is a wonderful advocate and so gifted at helping women feel empowered. We have been working together for about a year and a half, and in that timespan I have made more progress in my self, marriage, family, career, and friendships than I ever have. I’m so grateful to know I have Cate in my corner, and I couldn’t say enough about how brilliant she is.

I am honored to work with Cate. I am grateful. She has taught me so much that it I cannot capture my growth and healing in a written review. Instead of sitting with shame, guilt and suffering. Cate is helping me learn how to acknowledge my traumas and pain.

She has helped support my healing and self compassion. I am a better parent, employee, friend because of our work together.

So please take pause … ignore any poor reviews. You must all find the right fit for therapeutic guidance. Growth of yourself is your responsibility. Your therapist is meant to support and provide guidance.

I’ve been in therapy for 20+ years without ever going deep into the real issues. Scott was direct in his no-nonsense approach and helped me develop the skills to pull myself out of the dark hole I had put myself in for years. If you don’t want to put in real, life changing work, this is not the practice for you. Be prepared and willing to change and you’ll do well.

Although I felt like I was making great progress and generally liked our sessions. I was dropped by Scott without warning. He did not offer any support in helping me find another therapist or even a single exit session. He was insightful and helpful in explaining concepts and helping me to unearth and face issues within myself while we were working together but as evidenced by his behavior in communicating with me in ending my services and in a couple of our other interaction he is not stable and mentally well enough to provide a safe consistent counseling environment. When you find yourself asking your therapist if they are ok, if they need any help it's not a great sign. I feel a little guilty posting this review because I don't wish him any ill will, but I don't want people who may be struggling with more severe issues then I am to have the rug pulled out from under them like I did.

Scott dropped me because I informed him I was not happy with the advice he had given. He stated unless I paid for and completed additional sessions, he wouldn’t work with me. He also complained about how he felt hurt by how I reacted to his negative attitude. He gave good advice on basic psychology theory and concepts, but reacts to differences in opinion drastically and unprofessionally. He also would not provide my other healthcare providers with requests for his notes. I’m posting this review about a year later because I found one of his old business cards he asked me to pass out. In addition, he and his wife were just starting the company and still needed to grow so I didn’t want to intially write this review. However, seeing the others reviews made me want to help others avoid what may not be a good therapeutic fit. As others have mentioned, he did not provide any help finding other services, and did not give me any warning that he was upset at me for disagreeing with his advice. When I reached out to explain how I felt and to ask him to verify a letter he had written on my behalf, he never responded. For what it is worth, I’m glad I didn’t take his advice because I ended up with a better outcome than he anticipated.

I try not to do this but I have to give them one star. This is simply because I have contacted them 3 times asking for a consult and no one calls or emails back. I’m moving on.
