Alma Hotel, Bar, Cafe

I rolled into this place on a wet summer morning on my motorcycle. I had a good breakfast and found out they had rooms to rent upstairs. I’d had enough of being wet and cold and rented a room. Nothing fancy but it was a far cry from the cold wet ground. The bar opened around 4 and I had a good time chatting with the locals.

I would definitely recommend this place, it reminded me of the old days.

Had a great Prime Rib and shrimp dinner, highly recommend to stop by. The staff and Push were GREAT!!!!

Excellent food and service!!! Especially the breakfast and boasted chicken.

The food is absolutely amazing and everyone is so friendly. The building itself is gorgeous, it captures that time capsule feel while still being modern in all of the ways you would expect.

We had their fish with French fries. I chose the coleslaw with creamy dressing. The "coleslaw" is shredded cabbage. Nothing else was added - just cabbage and a dressing. I didn't care for it.
The fish was battered and very good. The French fries were also good.
The waiter was very good.

Review is for the cafe. The location is amazing. The atmosphere is also great. I love the old limestone walls and pictures from times past. Food was excellent and prices were reasonable. Service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

Great little place on the upper Mississippi in Alma Wisconsin. One of the oldest buildings in town was and still is a hotel great little bar and grill. The food is not what you go in here for. It's the nostalgia that brings them in. With that being said we had burgers and fries one of us had the broasted chicken another had the steak and no one complained. Great little rooms throughout the place brings quaint dining experiences. Highly recommend this place If you're in the area

Alma restaurant Hotel & Bar is a cool historical place to eat and have a drink. Owners say paranormal activity has happened here. 👻 We took a walk up stairs through the hotel to check it out and it definitely has history and it was also hot since it was August and from what I was told it has no air conditioning. 2 stars rating on the hotel. They have friendly small town service and the food is great from breakfast to dinner. They might just have the best shrimp around, light crispy batter and the burgers are really good as well.

Broasted Chicken was delicious!!😋 crispy and not greasy. Excellent service, very clean.

Had a delicious burger and onion rings. Great service and interesting conversations. After lunch we decided to explore the old hotel upstairs. I've never been more frightened. Yikes.

I ordered broasted chicken dinners to serve at a 60 yr class reunion for 22 people. I'm sure everyone told me how much they enjoyed thelr dinner. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thank you Push

My husband and I ate their Friday fish fry today. We really enjoyed the cod, very fresh tasting and the breading was perfect. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. Very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

We went to the bar for a drink which advertised seasonal Tom and Jerrys. They were very good and we started talking about hot buttered rims. The owner and chef went and made a batch of hot buttered run batter. Not only were they amazing, but we were so pleased with the personal service and friendliness. Their food and service are wonderful! We drive out of the way to go there to eat. This is a much stop for charm, food and drinks, and great service!

Excellent breakfast! Tried the biscuits and gravy, hash browns, omelets, cornbeef hash, and french toast, all amazing, especially for the price. Best bloody mary on the River! We complimented the waiter on the food and he said that the chef is his mother and the owner...awesome! If we lived closer, we would never make breakfast again!

The service is always so friendly and welcoming. They are prompt and the food is always top notch. They have amazing broasted chicken and the portions are sizeable. Everything I have ordered here has been very very good. I love this place!
