Placed order a month in advance for my son’s graduation. I was nervous with outcome but read reviews and decided to give them a try. Sent a picture of desired image . Drove all the way from New York to Boston, attending and I was pleasantly surprised they got the details down to the tee. Pickup was smooth and cake was ready to go. Me and the family even enjoyed the pastelitos and quipes that were delicious!!! Would recommend with my eyes closed! Picture did not do it justice.

My boy put me on to this spot. This bakery is not but top tier. Each time that we have went it’s been nothing but fresh and hot. The empanadas are to die for. The coconut cake and corn bread are delicious and taste like heaven. It’s so moist and flavorful

Oh my goodness what can I say about this bakery! Words cannot even describe how incredible and talented these individuals are. Here they have, in my opinion, Fairy God-Mother's. (Hadas Madrina's) They make anything you want to your hearts desire. You tell them the idea of the size, color, style and even down to the design...they will make it happen. Miracle workers here!

This was my daughter's 13th birthday cake and look how INCREDIBLE this masterpiece came out. From the moment I picked up the cake, I was blown away. The details and just utter gorgeousness of this cake; I didn't want to cut it or even eat it towards the end of the evening. I placed in my order a few days ahead of schedule (4 days in advance) and so when the day came for the pick up it was ready to go!

As you can see from my pictures, the colors matched my decorations at home as it brought everything together. The stars of the evening was my daughter and the cake. On the inside, my goodness, soooooo delicious and so moist. NOT DRY AT ALL!!! I'm telling you it was that good. This was a vanilla cake with strawberry filling. One thing that I appreciated is that you're not just limited to strawberry. They have other flavors: pineapple, guava and many more...but you pick! Therefore for me, I picked strawberry because I know my daughter loved that flavor.

A BIG THANK YOU to Gondres Bakery! You made my princess so happy and even myself. All of my guests (family & friends) were blown away and so without you all of this couldn't be possible and so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. This was Perfect! Mil gracias for todo, perfecto en todos los sentidos, ya que estoy impresionado pero muy feliz con el resultado final.

They are miracle workers as they create beautiful, unique, gorgeous and custom cakes. All at great prices and so you shall not be disappointed with that nor the quality/ taste. Don't pass them up!

Recommended - Chicken / Pollo empanada, beef quipes, dessert - Majarete(corn pudding).

I love this popular Dominican bakery. Beautiful cakes and the best chicken empanadas in Jamaica Plain. Reasonable prices too.

Friendly staff, best bollitos, quipes, and pastellitos in town. The meat inside all of them is super flavorful and if you go early on in the day everything is fresh out of the fryer. I forgot to mention, the prices are amazing. Great if you want a cheap lunch for under 10 bucks!

Dulce the leche filling cake. Cake cost $20, I belive it is slightly less than half a pound. Cake only, nip bottles, topper, etc not included.

Gondres Bakery makes the best Domincan cakes, pastries and food, in town. I have sampled almost all of their cakes and pastries and have never been disappointed. My all time favorite whole cake is their pineapple cake, which I tend to order for every special occasion. Their cakes are made to order, always super fresh, moist, pleasing to the eye, pleasing to the mouth and decorated with love! Lewisiana is the best! She is the quintessential employee. She is consistently professional, pleasant, approachable and accommodating. She goes above and beyond to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied. I highly recommend this bakery and Lewisiana's service.

Get the pastelitos, you won’t regret it! Try their guava cake too! The frosting is so good. Their smoothies were a little too sweet for me but the taste was okay. The tres leches was also too sweet and no one in my family liked it.

Awesome service, delicious pastries and Dominican snacks. Cuadritos de guayaba are my favorite and the best pulled pork (pernil) subs for 8 dollars. Also soursop smoothies

Best Dominican cake and flan, for miles and miles away. Very friendly and professional staff too. I live 11 miles away, still come here frequently no matter the 35+ mins drive.

I really like this place. Everything is freshly made right there and super tasty. I was surprised at how inexpensive things are there. They have all kinds of desserts savories. It is like a hidden gem .

Love this establishment! I've gotten 3 cakes from here thus far and I'll keep coming back. Very professional and always on time with the order. I will warn you that it's quite busy in there. So be prepared to wait.

I'm writing this review after my second visit in a row. Yesterday I ordered an Everything Bagel, with Ham and Cheese, and a large Cappuccino. Today I've ordered a Croissant with Ham and Cheese, and of course, a large Cappuccino. This Bakery is walking distance from the home I'm staying at while I visit Boston. I'm visiting from Florida and the weather here today feels like -12 degrees F... Let the weather and my willingness to walk in the current temperature speak for the food and the coffee here. The fare is great and I'm sure I will return tomorrow morning for my third day in a row :). Highly recommend for a quick and friendly bite.
