Our family has been enjoying this Campground for many years. The camp host keeps the toilets very clean and is helpful. River access can be tricky but worth the trouble. The river beautiful with wildlife and adventure. There are not too many bugs which is nice but, bring insect repellent anyway because they are here.

I went here recently for a quick getaway from the city with my family. It's a very close drive, easy to locate. The campsites are spacious and private. The local river is very beautiful. We went in late August and the water was crystal clear.

The camp host here was incredible. We showed up hoping for a first come first serve site and the list was updated on the board. The campsite was freshly raked and the compost toilets were the cleanest I have ever seen. The water is out of service which stinks but there is a gas station not far and another campground, Monkey Creek, with water available nearby. It is tucked far enough from the highway that you don’t hear vehicle traffic and the train we only noticed 3 times the whole night.

If you are lucky enough to find a good spot on the Beckler River you'll never want to leave. Most of the forest service roads are almost never ending and the views will take your breath away. Bring the bug spray ! Late June - October are the most visited times.

This is a beautiful campground! Tucked away in the forest. There are vault toilets, NO running water. Beautiful base camp to explore the area.

We love this campground. Not to big. Private enough. Beautiful river nearby. Some sites on the river. No hookups. Most sites flat. A few pull though sites for larger trailer or motorhomes. Most seem smaller though. Very peaceful.

Beautiful campsite, will be coming back very often, clean, organized and safe. Easy access to river, swimming areas, toilets, lots of hikes and small walks.

Wonderful place to rest from the hwy. River access to most sites, vaulted toilets. We give it a 5 for access and service. There is local bear that frequent the campground. Keep eyes open and make noise.

campsite #15 is spacious and it has space for two tents and a hammock. Came here late August for 3 days and enjoyed my reservation. Didn't have any issues with mosquitos or flies (got three bites, but not bad). Tmobile signal has three bars which is nice. And it's only 1.5 hours away from Renton/Seattle area.. The vault toilet is decent and clean. Blue jays and small birds would frequently visit me throughout the day. 5 out of 5 would come back. Host was an older lady who seems nice. She came around the second day of my stay to confirm my reservations. Vegetation around the campsite has ferns, tall pine trees, and some other medium size shrubs. The vegetation gives a nice forest feel. Book early if you want river view.

pros: they sell wood on site, clean vault toilets, privacy between sites are decent, the sound of the river is peaceful.

con: there a lot of families and sometimes kids can be loud, but it wasn't a big issue for me.

This is a great little campground. The host was very helpful. Our site was by the river and had a very calming atmosphere. It seems the even numbered spots are on the river side, but not sure if that's true for all of them. Water is available, but pretty slow and run by what looks like a solar charger battery.

Great little camp ground. Several camp sites have direct river access and there is a picnic area with river access for day use if you're not staying the night. There are no showers but there are several out house style restrooms throughout the campground. Fishing is allowed with a license. There is a small store (basic items only) and gas station a half mile up the highway. Fire wood is available for purchase from the camp host for $8/bundle. Additional vehicles at your site are also $8/day. Cash or check only. RVs are allowed but there are no hookups. Each site includes a fire pit and a large picnic table. There is a small water pump at the center of the grounds where you can get water for washing dishes, feeding dogs, etc. but it runs very slowly so you'll need some patience.

Quiet, well run, clean, and right next to the river making it easy to bring stuff to hangout next to it. Great for families or those wanting a relaxing summer weekend on some water.

This is a primo campground located in Skyhomish. A few miles off of Beckler River Road, we had a really pleasant few days of camping. While the weather was all over the place given that it is April, it was a perfect time to camp as there were very few people there. We were able to comfortably fit 5 vehiles and a trailer for our group. The campfire spot was also perfect, and we found many dead logs to put into the fire. There were plenty of spots available for us to pitch tents close to the campfire too. Overall a really nice few days at Beckler. We will come back this summer.

If you are looking for a very quiet campground with lots of woods and near a river, this is a great one! Pluses: many riverside campsites. Most sites have good privacy. All have firepits and big picnic tables and I think all have tent pads. Most appear relatively level. There is a path down to the river and then a trail that takes you further upriver so you can get a nice spot to splash or maybe even fish. The campers appear to all be very friendly and relatively quiet. It is super quiet and very dark at night... Especially with no moon out. Added bonus there is now cell coverage here which was a very pleasant surprise especially for my data-dependant child! Lol

Cons: this is a step up from boondocking (ok that is a plus for me), so if you are looking for amenities -this doesn't have them. No hookups of any kind. 1 water source in the whole campground so bring a bucket if you need water. 2 sets of pit toilets. To me the biggest downside was this used to be a walk up only campground. So you could plan on coming midweek and know you would get a cool site. Now half or more is reservable. Great for those who can plan in advance. Sucks for those who want to be spur-of-the-moment.
Overall: we love it here! And will continue to come back...but a little bummed that this place is no longer a hidden gem.
