There was a wait as it was pretty busy, but I like that they text your phone when your table is ready. This place has good food, variety and a relaxing atmosphere. Our waiter Winston was attentive and gave us good service. The fried asparagus were delicious (I don't even like asparagus and I loved it). The crab stuffed flounder was great, the fried fish and chips were tasty, and the Blackened Chicken Alfredo was good, but the sauce could've used a little more flavor. I had a fried flounder filet with a baked potato and loved it. Overall everything was great from start to finish.

Super friendly service. The Happy Hour sushi deal is terrific. Very delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet. When in town, you have to try this restaurant. Our GPS did not get us there as effectively as we would have liked so be prepared to hunt a little bit for it.

I went for happy hour, best deals on drinks on appetizers. It has a very good local feel, and all that I ate was great. I wanted to try the hot wing challenge but they were out. I had the fish and chips (recommended) Buffalo wings, and coconut shrimp(also recommended), and the margarita. The service was a little slow as it was post lunch I guess. We ordered sushi too, but the wait time for over an hour, so we skipped it. We finished everything that was ordered. Perfect lunch time during hot summers!!!

Chef Sam personally wished me a happy birthday and made it an even better night!! The food was awesomeee, the drinks were AMAZINGGG, and don’t even get me started on the Crème Brûlée!!! First time i’ve ever had it, there’s no words to describe how it just melted in my mouth!!😍😍

Tionna has a AWESOME attitude and Outstanding customer service!!! The food was great. I tried the Patty melt and it was so delicious. My daughter tried shrimp basket and the shrimp were great. My other daughter tried the blackened chicken sandwich and it was good as well. Seemed like the chicken could've been cooked a little more though. This place has a good atmosphere and prices are not too bad.

Scuttlebutt's Seafood Bar & Grill was a treasure in Corpus Christi. From the moment you stepped in, the inviting ambiance and tantalizing aroma of fresh seafood greeted you. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It's truly saddening to bid farewell to such a gem. Scuttlebutt's, you will be sorely missed. 5 stars for an unforgettable dining experience.

Food: Delicious; Service: Excellent; Ambience: Good but not enough space for waiting customers;

The only problem is space. When you get a table close to the door, the customers waiting don’t have enough space, they are right next to you. I don’t want to eat next to someone who is hungry while I’m munching away. Their menu was a newspaper! The service and food was exceptional.

Went here on a friend's suggestion and it was great! We had decided to go there for my husband's birthday dinner. It was pretty busy for a Monday night but we were quickly sat and got some drinks going. Their specialty drinks from the bar were delicious and packed a punch. All the food we ordered was amazing and large in portion size. We had just missed happy hour but our server Derick told us all about it anyway! We loved everything so much and especially the service Derick provided we decided to come out again during happy hour for my husband's actual birthday! You cannot go wrong with 1/2 off appetizers and drinks! Thank you Scuttlebutt's and Derick for making our trip to the coast and of course my husband's birthday even better then it already was! We will definitely be back as our go to spot and with friends.

Never had bad food here! Such a huge menu…great place for everyone, you can always find something for you or the people in ur party! Very chill atmosphere…come dressed up on a date or in boardshorts and flip flops! Highly recommend the scuttlebutts platter…it’s enough food for 2!

Great atmosphere and food done well with kind caring wait staff. I like the gumbo with the fried okra topping. The gumbo has a good base. The fish tacos were
scrumptious. Live music and goo, fair pricing topped off our experience for an excellent meal. Great brew choices.place setting have all the good fixings.

First our waiter Thomas was super patient and knowledgeable of the menu.

Second the food and drinks were delicious! Clean restaurant and just a relaxed place.

They take pride in there food some of it is a little salty but good Bar prices not to bad in happy hour. . I sat at the bar I didn't know I was talking to the owners son he is a worker too very nice person not Stoke up like some others very down to earth person that what makes this place special and happy hour starts at 3 to 7 and the sushi is very good great place to hang out with your friends or even by yourself they even have live music every night so come out and try this place you will like it live music every day at evening

With a name like Scuttlebutt's, just had to try them out. Don't let the outside fool you...plain Jane on the outside, party hardy on the inside! Had an absolute blast here! The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was a "make yourself at home" vibe. We had a good size group and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were all happy and taken care of. Nothing like a place where you can sit back and relax with great service and awesome food...and did I mention "live music?!" Can't go wrong with Scuttlebutt's!

Amazing food and a relaxed feel. Come in and try anything off the menu including a cigar! Bacon wrapped scallops top my pics for a starter, tamaya sushi bowl is epic and anything pasta will knock your socks off, if your up for a hunk of cow the rib eye is perfectly cooked med rare just skip the herb butter and it's smooth sailing.We absolutely Love this place and the friendly staff is just as great as the food. Make sure this is on your list for lunch and dinner!

the food is always DELICIOUS here! the fried pickles, wings and sushi are to die for!! happy hour is always the best time to come for great prices on food and drinks. 100% my favorite wings i’ve ever had. love scuttlebutts! recommend this place to everyone!

Excellent food and service. The crab cakes were awesome. We had the prime rib, loaded potatoes and spinach augratin. It was scrumptious. Also, we had snow crab and fried fish tacos. It was awesome. Best coleslaw. Our first visit and we will be repeat customers.

Man... this place may be my new favorite place to eat. It's a bit pricey (I would suggest visiting from 3pm-7pm for half-off happy hour soecials) but it features the single most expansive menu I've ever seen. Sushi, burgers, seafood... more options than I could possibly list. The menu is actually an eight-page newspaper print.
And the food was good. Sushi was on par with the best sushi places in Corpus Christi, oysters were awesome and pasta was great. Drinks were really good too... my only complaint being that our first bottle of Saki was served cold. Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, they featured pool and an outside patio plus big screen Tv's for games. And the place is pretty big with a lot of fun, beachy-themed decorations. Here's to hoping they stand the test of time, because this place is really cool.

Updated a year later: I still can't recommend the crab, but otherwise sizes seem to have improved and flavors are as good as ever. Best place for shrimp, and we love the live music.

Smallest "1 lb" of snow crab I've seen. Undersized claws each missing one large finger. Not even worth the happy hour pricing of $18. Sushi rolls are much smaller than they used to be as well. We were seated at a table that wasn't wiped down near the patio door, so hot every time the door opened. Waitress was nice. Overall food had decent flavor and drinks were strong.

Friendly, experienced wait staff and delicious, beautifully plated food for the adventurous, refined, or traditional pallette. Party of six seated immediately on a Tuesday at 4:30. Friendly, fun atmosphere with live music starting at six. My taste runs more to fried foods, but I have it on good authority that the sushi, oysters, shrimp,, and escargot are excellent. I had some of the avocado beach ball (pictured) with sushi grade ahi tuna, which was tasty, and the blackened redfish dip which was very good. I ordered potato skins and ate them all though they could have had more toppings, but the fried mozzarella wedges are my favorite. They also cook excellent, tender, cold-treated asparagus. We come to the area once a year on vacation and always stop by. Full disclosure, I occasionally difficulty digesting poultry and I can't eat their chicken wings, but that's just me. Everyone else is fine. Will definitely visit again!

Made a trip from Cibolo, TX for a short vacay at Cinnamon Shores and anticipating our bi-yearly trip to Scuttlebutts. Sadden to see it closed. We'll be ready to come back if/when it opens!
