Slaton Bakery

What a gem, great service, great food and a terrifically decorated store. Definitely enjoyed stopping in here for lunch. My sandwich was freshly made to order and tasted great. Staff were considerate and helpful. Such a shame this place is so far from home, I’d love to have something like this nearby.

The lady that helped me was nice and was helpful on picking out what all I wanted! The cookies I got for a Valentines gift were a hit!

An absolute MUST stop when you’re in Slaton! We’ve been coming here for years and we love it. Friendly staff and such delicious baked goods, cookies, donuts, cinnamon rolls, donut holes… you make it, they bake it and it’s delicious!

Have seen these at HEB so had to stop into store on beautiful Slaton square and so glad!
Such nice folks, put up with our excitement and indecision from the huge selection of wonderful items (just ended getting one of almost everything!) and had samples at the ready.
Nothing beats a fresh ‘nilla wafer or ginger snap! So we got loads of both.
Get off the highway, get some coffee and a fresh pastry, and sit outside enjoying Slaton.

Iv been going to this place since I was born, and it's been consistent all these years.. Their burritos are the most simplest yet most delicious because of how they are made.. The donuts, cake, the food everyhring is just got and the consistency is key... I love this place and if I ever have kids, will bring my kids here..

Even my cat likes the vanilla wafers! The only other people food Princess eats is peanut butter. When I had the bag open recently, she came over to me, sniffing it aggressively. She scarfed down nearly a whole cookie, which I broke into bite-sized pieces for her. Being a cost-per-ounce shopper, I opted for the Slaton cookies over other brands in my Brenham HEB. Besides their excellent flavor, they are crisp like ginger snaps. Nilla will never darken my cupboard doors again. Bravo!

This is a great bakery. Everything is fresh and they have a large variety of baked goods. You can get everything from hot dogs to smiley face cookies. If you have a dog at home they also sell a bag of dog treats. There are also cookie jars that are purschasable along with lunchboxes. This place has a variety of things and I definitely recommend going here.

Attended the first annual banana pudding festival. It was great. Four choices of banana pudding with a donation. A lot more people than was expected. Food trucks and vendors ran out of food according to my sons who also attended. Wonderful spirit.

It's an awesome bakery! The staff was amazingly friendly and the baked goods are incredible! Definitely a to go spot for those in the area!

LOVED our visit to the famous Slaton Bakery with our sons. Our middle one is named after the town, and he felt like a celebrity seeing his name everywhere. The bakery was the highlight of the trip. I can't wait to come back!

Best darn vanilla wafers I ever ate

A quiet little town with possibly the best bakery in all of west Texas! Wow, mini pecan pies are so delicious. My favorite cookie Snickerdoodle! They have cute little gifts as well.

I ordered a birthday cake for my son dad and little brother the cake was perfect moist and not to sweet. I have always loved the Slaton bakery growing up I have a lot of great memories.

It was the first time to go there. It is a nice establishment who just celebrated 100 years of existence! I bought some cookies and other pastries. They were awesome!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
