McCoy Creek Tavern

This was my first time here and I definitely plan to be back. The food could use some seasoning but overall it was cooked awesome! Service was amazing too!!

It is exactly how you think a small tavern in a small town would look.....friendly atmosphere, great service, and the food was amazing! I got the chicken tenders based off other reviews and they did not disappoint! They are massive and delicious, I got the half order and could only eat 1 out of the 2. My husband got a bacon cheeseburger and said it was extremely good and large, he couldn't even finish his fries afterwards. The staff was super friendly, the service was fast and the food is so worth it.

Stopped in when passing through. Some of the best food I have had in a long time and decently priced as well. Little hint, ORDER THE CHICKEN STRIPS. THEY ARE HUGE!

This place has been around forever and seems to be improved food wise. Service is slow and inside is nothing to look at, but they're friendly and welcoming. Standard fares like chicken wings and burgers are very good, and appetizers are pretty solid. Drinks are good, and everything is pretty reasonably priced. Just be patient!

U wanna talk about a great experience,i come here often and I've never had a bad meal. The food is spectacular and the wait staff and the wait staff are excellent 100/10 .if ur looking for a hole in the wall Bar with great Atmosphere and even better food and staff ,look no further.

Wings are excellent came out as ordered hot and pretty fast . Server did a great job and shown great patience waiting for my guest to join got to go order done accurately timely.

Wanted to try it for years and finally got the chance,and they did not disappoint! Great place, Very friendly staff, Fried Green Maters were Delicious and the Burgers Freakin Awesome! Will be back!

What makes a tavern great is the People who are inside of the building. When I say you will be treated as if you're family the staff cook and owner are the sweetest people ever if you need a great time check em out

Okay let me begin with the flippin’ TOTS!!! And the employees are so so so nice! Idk what my girl, Karen is talking about, but I went for the food, and SPECIFICALLY come back for Molly! The whole team makes the place inviting, but she gives it the flare I can’t pass up!!

The place I go to feel like family and enjoy anything and everything on the menu. I'm really surprised the chicken strips aren't world famous yet.. the place I feel most at home.

I'm from Chicago and make a trip here probably twice a month the burgers r excellent as well as the appetizers , staff very friendly

Good food, and good COVID19 protection. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The chicken tenders are HUGE. The waffle fries and tater tots are impossible to decide between.

LOVED this tavern! Perfect spot for a tasty beer or delicious bar food. Best of all was the wonderful welcoming staff and fantastic service! Would definitely recommend I will surely be back.

Little hole in the wall type place. Very charming. They get really busy so you wait for your food a bit but it is worth it.

My husband had the Olive burger & tots. I had the Tomato Basil soup and grilled cheese. We shared an appetizer of portobello mushrooms 🍄 that were the absolute best we had ever eaten. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the cook was really working hard to keep everyone happy and fed.
1 cook & 1 server. The place was packed but they were doing an awesome job!!!
We are so glad that we stumbled upon this gem. We will be back after we recover from this trip, as we both ate WAY too much...lol

Excellent Friday night fish fry!! Was AUCE but they brought so much out to begin with, we didn't need to ask for more. Came with fries, coleslaw & the best cornbread I've had in awhile. I hardly touched my fries because I was on a mission to finish my perch & it was a struggle, but I did it, barely. I wish I would have gotten a picture of how nice the basket looked.
It was definitely worth it 👌

I go here at least 1 time a week. The food is great and the staff is a ray of "Sunshine".
