Day Star Motel at Wolf Lake

The owner truly is amazing! We come here 3-5 times a year and he always treats us like family. Very accommodating and true hospitality!

Great rustic up north motel! Perfect if you only need a place to sleep while you're doing all your fun up north activities. The people there are really nice!

Great location, clean rooms. John the owner is friendly and helpful. Fire pit on both ends of motel. Gas station with supplies located right next door. Access to Baldwin, Irons, Luther, Little O, Club 37 without needing to load up vehicle and travel to parking spots.
I'll definitely visit Day Star again.

Surprising quaint quiet little room, very clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfy with flannel sheets, perfect for a spring night up north! Everything I needed was here. Tiny fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Shower has great water pressure. The owner was very nice when I checked in. Would most definitely recommend staying here!

Owner is helluva nice guy! Room was clean, heater kept it any temperature you may desire. Will definitely be staying again! Thanks for the hospitality!

Easy to Access the trails from the Motel.

The owner is so accomodating. Rooms are clean!!! Towels are soft and fresh. A/C in every room. Prices are great. Close to all riding trails and a hip skip and jump away from local areas. Highly recommend!

Just spent the holiday weekend there and it was great! Clean, and friendly. Rented rooms 11 & 12 had 3 beds, 2 baths, full kitchen along with private area outside with fire pit! Definitely will be back!

This place is five star! It doesn't appear 5 star but everything else about is! The owner is very nice and helpful, giving us things we can look for around the area. The room has so many amenities that most BNB don't think of. Kitchenware, towels for washing and drying, coffee pot with coffee and sugar etc, a box fan, great heat, cable TV, extra bedding, great location from the lakes, and rivers, and very reasonably priced for all. The staff were very accommodating and courteous. I highly recommend for a fishing and/ or hiking trip!

This motel is under new ownership for the last year or so and they have done a great job at going through the place to get in great condition for this years snowmobiling season and beyond. My girlfriend and I were just there riding for two days between Christmas and New Years on 12/30 & 12/31, 2017 and the Day Star Motel was perfect for our needs. Pleasant and helpful Owner/Staff, cozy, warm, clean, nice amenities inside including soaps, refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee, right next door to store and gas station, plenty of parking for trucks, trailers, and sleds.... and best of all it was $55 per night. We will definitely be going back here several times this winter.

A very reasonably priced, clean, rustic motel with air conditioning. It is also conveniently located near snowmobile trails, Wolf lake, and not too far from the town of Baldwin. The owners are very friendly and honest folks that aren't out to gouge tourists. I happened upon by chance. And, I'm glad I did. I recommend it to anyone that needs accommodation in the area.

We always stay here when we come up to ride lake county trails...always super nice owners and clean rooms at a great price ..its just so friendly and relaxing ..highly recommend..and everything you need right next door at the wolf lake party store...

I love this place! I'm usually there at least 2 times a year. I'm going this weekend taking a friend that's never been. And whom I am certain will return! Every time I take someone new they always return. I found this place by accident about 10 years ago. I Google atv rentals in Northern Michigan and Wolf lake popped up. Now the Wolf lake lodge is a great place however they don't have a/c. The daystar is clean cool and as soon as I leave can't wait to come back. They have plenty of space for truck and trailer easy in and out.

I have been coming to Baldwin my entire life, so I have tried most of the motels around. Daystar is a great place to come to. Service is great, rooms are clean, and conveniently located. Great place to get away and ride the trails, hunt, or fish the pere marquette.

The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel owner is a charming man! We ride a bicycle and arrived with a lot of dirty laundry. Although there are no laundry services, he washed us everything and did not want us to pay! We are very grateful to him and recommend that you come to the place with a warm heart ...

Nice cozy little rooms, clean and pleasant. Not a place of luxury, but will meet all of your basic needs. You can ride right out of the parking lot and onto the ORV trails. Highly recommend!

Stayed here last summer when my power was out. Great place. Clean and reasonable. Excellent location if you enjoy fishing.

Great place to stay very affordable. Great service rooms are very clean. Every room we have stayed in has a microwave, coffee pot with coffee an filters 2 cups and a box fan

Owner is good people I definitely recommend highly. the kitchenette suite is perfect and having my dog was no problem.. which in my opinion is awesome cause my dog is cleaner than most people 😁
