Wolf Lake Motel & Resort

We've been going every year for about 8 years. We love it! Even through the transition of new owners it's still been great and inexpensive. Love being able to step out of the cabins and have the lake right there! Owners are super friendly and accommodating as they can be. We will definitely continue our wolf lake tradition for many more years.

I stayed at Wolf Lake Motel & Resort again just a few days ago. I fish and guide on the Pere Marquette river and have been staying at wolf lake for years. Steve & Barb are always friendly and accommodating for me and my clients. They have clean rooms, a nice facility and reasonable rates. If you're looking for the Ritz, go find a big city. If you're looking for a nice place to stay in a more rustic setting this is your place.

Had a blast! Rented the bunkhouse on September 21-23, and absolutely loved our stay. Check in was a breeze. Cabin was comfy, clean, well stocked, and had nice water pressure (which can be iffy when it comes to cabins). Staff was amazing, and extremely helpful. We were there for an ATV trip, and plan on going back. Other than riding, Baldwin is not the most exciting place, but Wolf Lake is fantastic, and conveniently located to trails. So easy to fuel up across the street, and just ride out and hit the trails. Wolf Lake Motel is laid back, with a real down to earth feel. I highly recommend it!

Very clean and cozy! The owners and staff are very down to earth and friendly. A little slice of paradise right on the lake, left feeling uplifted and recharged. What an amazing weekend! If your Headed up North I highly recommend staying at the Wolf Lake Lodge and Resort.

I have been coming up to Wolf Lake since the 1970's! This place is an awesome location and the Rooms are Great. My family and I love this place, best in summer but the winter hasn't been too bad either!!

What a great place for a vacation!! Room was really clean, a little small, but just enough room for what we needed it for. The prices are very reasonable and the snowmobiles we rented were in great shape and we had zero issues with them. Any problem we had, the owners were extremely helpful and would accommodate extremely quickly. They were very nice and gave us a great package deal. I will highly recommend this place to anyone trying to do an outdoors trip to MI.

The owners are very friendly and want you to have the best vacation experience you can. The rooms down by the lake are nice. There is a group fire pit for s'mores with a camp fire. Wolf lake has a shallow, clean, and sandy bottom which is great for young swimmers. There is a paddle boat and a dock with a sitting bench just to relax and take in the lake views. Close to RV trails, and they rent 4x4's.

Have stayed here every year since the new owners took over. They are great people and will help in any way. Simple, clean rooms. When you're there, you are left alone; unless you want to meet up with others there. Great atmosphere for a couple or families!

Spent a few days here summer of 2016. My son and I trailered our UTV's up from North Carolina to spend some time playing on the sand trails, a great break from the southern clay and coal muck we typically ride on. Had a blast, ride right from your doorstep, gas is just across the street, a great supper club is just a few miles north of the resort (accessible by road or trail). Trailered over to Silver Lake Dunes for a day as part of our trip, only an hour away.
If you are there in the summer and are riding the trails, you need to ride to the far north end of the trail system to the "50 wide steel gerder bridge across the Manistee River, look to the south and there is a large, deep pool with a rope swing. The water is freezing cold, even in the middle of August, but when it's 90 degrees outside and your caked in dust from hours of riding, rope swing or not, a dip in that fast flowing pool is rejuvenating!
We always ended the day with a dip in the lake back at the resort, great for rinsing off before heading into the room.
For an older resort, the rooms are clean and in pretty good shape. I really wish resort owners would spend a little money on updating pillows, linens, and bed spreads! Wolf Lake is no different than so many other Midwestern resorts in the fact that the bedding is probably just as old as the facility itself!
THe area was very quiet at night, which was good because you HAVE to leave the windows open at night being that there is NO A/C. That and the bathroom was extremely tiny, I was not a big fan of the close proximity of the shower an.d sink to the toilet.
Anyway, our stay was very enjoyable, we hope to make it back again this year or next .

Clean lakeside units on a beautiful Sandy lake with amazing sunsets.. The new owners and management are making improvements and are honest hard working and family focused. One of our favorite getaways.

My family and I have been coming to Wolf Lake for 3 years now. Each and every time has been a blast. John is a great host, and we look forward to the trip every year. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

If you are looking for something fancy, this is not the place. Rooms were odd, sink is behind the shower so you can only use half of it, and there is no a/c also the fridge does not really keep your food cold so plan on eating out. Wished they gave a discount to rent their uts/atvs if you rent a room from them, or offer some sort of package where you could rent the boats and the utvs. Great price for the rooms, and very quiet. We will be going back very soon.

Good quad trails all around. Friendly and helpful staff. They have grills for coming out, a stove and dishes if it rains. Fire pit with a great view of the lake.

Love this place. Best staff always willing to help. Love the rooms on the lakeside. Been coming back since 2010. Great trail access just a really great place to stay.

This is a nice place. Friendly people, and access to lots of trails. The rooms were clean and affordable. Its a great getaway for a weekend or longer!

Dad brother and I stayed here for a 3 day week end of 4 wheeling amenities are old school but for trail riders its great to be able to pull the quads right up to the door. Would like to stay again on another 3 day weekend.

Owners are fantastic. Rooms nice. Grills on property.

Very very nice place to stay for the week or weekend. Very well maintained cabin resort. Price is beyond fair. Good swimming beach and the lake is beautiful! The staff are the best.
