Happy Trails Rentals

We had a wonderful experience with Happy Trails Rentals. We called last minute for a side-by-side, Dan quickly fit us into his busy schedule. When we arrived he quickly walked us through all the paperwork, laws, and operation of the rig, and sent us on our way with a map to have fun. The trails were well groomed with clear blazes, the other drivers were courteous and followed the trail etiquette, and the trail itself has some really beautiful stops for sightseeing, fishing, mushroom hunting, and swimming. Overall, the experience was phenomenal. Bring your blow up paddle board and strap it to the rig for endless river fun and fishing. This area is the secret hidden gem you've been looking for. Thanks again, Dan! We'll be back soon. Couldn't stop talking about it on the long drive home!

Dan is amazing. We didn't plan on visiting happy trails, we were in the area looking for something fun to do when we came across happy trails on google. I read the reviews and everyone had the best things to say about their experience with this business and the owner. So we went. It was amazing. He was excellent with helping us (all first timers) with instructions and safety. It was such an amazing experience, so much fun and something us and the kids will never forget. We are a couple of hours away but will absolutly return for another adventure. Dan you are everything good that has been said about you. We will be seeing you again!

We came to Michigan for a Christmas vacation with the kids. They wanted a white Christmas. One of our activities got canceled, so we started call places for ATV. To our surprise, one of the places we called was Happy Trails. Dan was very nice when he called to explain the details about the snowmobile. YES! Snowmobile. We had never done snowmobiles before. We are Puertorrican from Texas and never in a million years we thought we would be doing snowmobile and have a great time at it. Dan's place is located in front of a natural forest reserve and that is where we rode our snowmobiles. We highly recommend this place.

We had a fantastic experience. Dan was super helpful and very easy to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable of the trails and surrounding area. I would definitely rent from Happy trails again.

Called Wednesday to see about availability for Thursday or Friday. Thursday was gonna be wet and 60°. We weren't sure about it. Dan said, Do you want to be super hot and eat dust from all the other riders? Or would you rather layer up, stay cool and wear a little mud all by yourself? We chose the latter. It was great! We had the trails to ourselves and mud was slinging everywhere. Casey hooked us up with the 570 side by each. That little thing did great! He showed me how to bring it back with all the parts still on it and away we went. We will definately recommend Happy Trails Rentals to everyone we know.

I rented a Polaris RVR for the day with my GF from Happy Trail Rentals in April.
We had an AMAZING time!
The machine was great!
The guy that rented us the side by side was really really cool.
He went SO far out of his way for us.
I told him the name of the motel I had rented and he let me know that was NOT the place to stay.. lol
Then he PERSONALLY went and rented me a room really close to his rental shop, the motel was clean and really nice that we ended up staying at. Thank you for that! Talk about customer service! : )
The next day we went and met up.
He gave us great tips on where to go and what to do.
Let us know what NOT to do also.
The trail systems are just fantastic.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We had 4 snowmobiles reserved for the weekend but after driving for 3 hours when we arrived the owner explained to us that there wasn't enough snow to ride snowmobiles on. He gave us a deal on 2 side x sides and 2 quads . WOW !!!! We had the time of our lives . Terrific machines , unbelievably scenic trails and great customer service. We definetely will do this again. Next time we are going to rent his cabin and make an entire week end out of it. Highly recommended !!!!

Great time for whole family! Dan is great to work with, very good prices and great access to hubdreds of miles of routes and trails. Had 4 kids with us split between two ORV's. Everyone had great time, made our way up to Houghton Lake / Prudenville and hit their small but decent public beach for a little while before riding back. Brought a medium cooler and bag with swimsuits, etc. worked out well and had a lot of extra room in bed of out rides. Our ATV experience is limited - definitely not veteran trail riders- but covered 85 beautiful miles with no problem. Routes are a mix of somewhat challenging terrain with some tight hairpin turns through heavy forest and routes that take you one well maintained county and logging roads.

Navigation is a little tricky at times in the area but make good use of the map Dan gives you and be ready to roll with it if you don't exactly know quite where you are at all times. You'll figure it out in due time and cover beautiful ground in the process. Trail / route markers are pretty good but not perfect- periodically needed to pull out gps on phone and co witnesses with map as neither is 100% what you need on their own. For most part had enough cell service to do this but you are definitely a ways off the grid and coverage can be spotty. Summer time riders should expect to get seriously dirty if it hasn't rained lately- Dan warned us and he wasn't joking! 100% worth it; great value, new machines that run great and beatutiful country to run them for as long as you can stand. All told we were out about 10 hrs before the kids admitted to being beat, cleaned up some and ate very good meal at restaurant when done. Great outing start to finish!

A buddy of mine and I were coming back home from a trip up north when we decided to go 4-wheelin'. After searching the web we came across Dan at Happy Trails Rentals. Let me tell you, it was totally worth it! Great deals, more than long enough trails, absolutely no worries! We will be seeing them again! *****

Had a great time up there Dan is a great guy loved all the things he had up there. And guys got some really good stories but if u are wanting a fun trail experience hit this place up and there's a bar restaurant right next door great food and great people definitely be back.

Decent pricing, great trails, friendly staff. Was there for one day and would definitely go back, although we had some technical issues with the machine we rented, my friend and I had a great day and Dan took excellent care of us!

The owner was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the trails he explained all the rules of the trails. After a day of fun we came back and had dinner at his restaurant that's right next to the rental building. I highly recommend both I'm deffinerly coming back

Save your self half an hour by renting it all online. Really good stuff, cheap compared to many other places.
