Branding Iron Restaurant

What a great stop on our road trip home from Iowa. We were in the mood for a nice dinner instead of fast food and this place did not disappoint! We had fast and friendly service and food was delicious! We shared the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and got the half order since it was just the two of us, and there were still plenty of them! We enjoyed the dinner the dinner salad, they were different than most places with pickled onions and cranberries in a mixed green blend. The salad dressings were all very delicious, and both of our meals were top-notch. My husband got the scallops broiled, his side was the au gratin potatoes and I got the fried shrimp with a baked potato. We would definitely recommend this Supper Club and we would stop again!

I can start with atmosphere- very warm and inviting. The dining room is large and spacious with plenty of room between tables. It’s not loud and chaotic. We were able to easily carry on a conversation at our table. Next up- service. Absolutely amazing. Pam was our waitress and she was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat and offered advice when needed. We were never left waiting for her. The drinks were awesome!! Many restaurants struggle to make a good martini- the branding iron does not! The dirty martins were delicious and so was the espresso one. The espresso martini had no cream in it which surprised me at first but the I was amazed how smooth it was. Then a great little chocolate covered espresso bean treat at the bottom. Finally- the food!!!! Mmmmmmm. I had the New York strip medium rare. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It had just the right amount of seasoning that didn’t overpower the high quality meat. The salad and cheesy potatoes were equally tasty. This cozy supper club hidden in the hills is top notch. I can’t wait to go back!! Kudos to our waitress Pam. We’ll done 🥰

Second time eating here place is the best. Good service great food. No load music! Wish we had one in Duluth. Good old fashion small town quality

The Branding Iron is a place we go to when we want a nice, up scale, sit down experience. They handled our large group (15) with ease, and it was fun to see the variety of food served - their menu offers a lot of variety. If you are looking for an app other than cheese curds, the onion rings are fabulous! The grilled chicken club had tender and juicy chicken - would definitely order again. The Ruben received rave reviews as well. The Mahi mahi with pineapple salsa was excellent as well! An added bonus was the view - especially as the sun was setting.

This was my first time at this establishment and I have to say it was worth the trip. Everything was excellent from the decor to the food the staff welcome you with a big smile and make you feel wanted. The food is prepared with care.
Most of the food is made from scratch so you get that homemade flavor.
I highly recommend taking a drive out there to have a piece of homemade heaven.

Stopped by for lunch with my daughter on our road trip to Houston. Great food. The batter on the fries is fantastic. Liked the brick walls and atmosphere as well. Beware, driveway is crazy steep.

We had a large group (20 people). We were seated together. The waitresses were so good with our drink orders and keeping everything straight.
The food was very good. I had the BBQ ribs, with Cesar salad and au gratin potatoes. The ribs were very tender and the sauce was thick and flavorful.
Good food, good drinks, good company.

Excellent we had shrimp, cod, baked chicken, chicken sandwich, and salmon. Everything was delicious. My son said the chicken sandwich was the best he ever had. Not one of us ate all of our food. Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks.

We were there for a company party and it was great. Had our own room, and the waiters were very friendly and great over 60 of us, and the food was great. Would highly recommend.

Has that supper club vibe with a varied and tasty menu. The French silk pie, homemade was one of the better I've had.... And I have had a lot of pie.

Food was yummy! The prime rib sandwich was excellent. They had a large party when we were there and only 2 wait staff but they did their best and were very pleasant.

Classic MN Super Club. Excellent Manhattan and a nice bread basket. We shared frogs legs and a delicious burger and broiled walleye with wild rice. Wonderful food and service too. But the view is outrageous! Make a reservation and request a table by the big windows!

Rustic atmosphere, quite witha beautiful view. Loved and LOVED the peanut butter bacon burger....

My son was getting married and we called Branding Iron prior to the event to ask if they could accommodate the rehearsal party for dinner even though we would be arriving 30 minutes prior to them closing. They agreed to serve us. When we arrived, our tables were set and the wait staff got right to work. Everyone was so friendly despite the chaos that a group of nearly 40 bring. Our drinks were always filled and our bread baskets were always full. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the chicken kabobs and the cod!

We stopped in for the Prime Rib. Was awesome and by far the best from other places we've had recently. Great whiskey ol fashion as well.

Visited here for the first time, and was very impressed! Reminded me a lot of the old-fashioned Wisconsin style super clubs. The dining room is big, and thanks to some huge south-facing windows, very well lit during the day. Because it sits high on a hill, there is a wonderful view of Preston from the dining room.

The service was fast, friendly, and professional.

The parking lot is big, but gets crowded fast, especially on the weekends, so parking might be difficult on a Friday or Saturday night. Shows you how popular this place is!

I had a New York strip steak dinner, and the steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The dinner salads were a cut above, and we were quite surprised how tasty they were. Sadly, the baked potato was on the small side, but still tasted very good. Drinks are deserts were wonderful! We certainly felt like we got our money's worth, and then some.

We were all very happy with our meal and will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Preston!

HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!

The return of a true Classic Steakhouse. We had a great meal, nice salad bar, great appetizers and a superb main course. We ordered haystack onion rings, shrimp cocktail, my wife had the pork chop, my daughter, son and I all had New York Strip Steak. Well worth the drive, a nice family evening.

First time back after the ownership change. We enjoyed grilled pork chops and fried cod. Same good food and service. The best part? The return of French silk and coconut cream pies!

I had not been here for quite a while. The quality was still top notch! They have the best comfort food if you want to get away from "city" restaurants.

Food was the best I've ever had very good waitress would highly recommend to eat here
