Aroma Pie Shoppe

We stopped for pie at the end of a 50 mile bike ride. It was a delicious treat. Highly recommend the peach/raspberry crumb. The crumble on the top was sugary and sweet, while the fruit filling paired nicely together. A must stop on the biking trail. Lots of options to choose from.

I've had over half of the flavors of pies that they make here, and every single one has been fantastic! You can tell every pie is made fresh right there in the store! You will never have a piece of pie that tastes like it's been in the rotating pie display case all day, like with what you get when you go to a diner or a truck-stop. Everyone at the pie shoppe is always very friendly and very helpful when it comes to picking out your favorite flavors, or to maybe try something new! If you're ever curious on what flavor to get, I highly recommend the Minnesota Maple, Chocolate Cashew, Caramel Apple Crumb, Vanilla Cream, Sour Cream Raisin, Blubarb, and Strawberry Rhubarb to name a few!

Our first short ride out of Lanesboro is always to Whalan and the Aroma Pie Shop! We have a pie quota - a slice a day - and with such unique variety we are never disappointed! This year it was the blackberry peach and the chocolate cashew, then another day peach and coconut cream. Ala mode in the heat helps too. If you want a take home version of anything be sure to order in advance - $30 each but a great home treat

It’s the best tasting blueberry pie in Minny! So many to choose from, I guess i have to keep going back. Make sure you pre-order for a whole pie…my mistake!

Home made is thrown around loosely these days, but this is the real deal. Nothing says “support local business” better than a quality made product. Grandma must be hiding in the back.

This is an amazing little find. You can Bike from the main street of Lanesboro and then 4.5 miles later you come upon this sweet little pie shop. You stand in line order and they get the pie served up right away. A lot of options also with Ala mode. Then you sit outside at the various tables. The pies rock!

The atmosphere is very cute! It is right off the bike trail. The pies were warm and delicious. I got the blue berry peach and it was the best. Would reccomend to anyone!

This has been a bicyclist's favorite for decades. I stopped in to pick up a few slices for some friends who had to leave early and they didn't disappoint. In an age of Quiet Quitters (doing the minimum), the employees behind this counter are the opposite. Polite, smart, busy. Good work and thank you. That was quite the rush of people.

Cute little place, we biked from Lanesboro and stopped for a couple of slices. I loved their berry cream pie, best I’ve ever had.

My husband and I rented a bike from Little River General Store in Lanesboro and kept biking until Whalan, MN. My husband was hungry so we kept going until we found this cute pie shoppe. We shared a Banana Pie with Vanilla ice cream. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the decoration super cute and the pie? Delicious. Definitely worth trying.

Rarely do I enjoy pie. However, traveling through the beautiful countryside and happen upon this little jewel of a shoppe. So many pie choices, amazing! However, it was the Cashew Chocolate Pie which stole my heart, and my tastebuds!

Such a fun, unique little shop! The pie was delicious! We had the blubarb and lemon poppyseed cream pie. Both were amazing, but would pick the lemon poppyseed over the blubarb. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Would visit again!

Best pies ever! Genuinely from scratch and worth every Penny. Perfect access from the trail or by vehicle in a cute village.

Betty's pies in the north shore may be more famous, but it has nothing on this place.

This spot is right on the bike trail. They have an extensive selection of pies and delicious coffee. Highly recommend!

Great place for delicious pie. It is right along the Root River bike trail so it makes a great stop while you are biking or you can stop / end your ride here and see a different part of the trail from the normal start in Lanesboro. Just make sure you get there early in the day for the best selection of pies. We have gotten there late a few times and learned our lesson the hard way.

We absolutely love this shoppe as both local consumers and frequent flyers. We enjoy our Sunday afternoon stops for pie, ala mode of course! My customers also enjoy when I pick up slices to go. A clean restaurant, fun atmosphere and friendly staff. 10/10 recommend!

We had the Coconut Cream, Peanut Butter Cream and Caramel Apple Crumb, and all were absolutely sinfully delicious! I see a lot of people complaining that they no longer give free water, but sell bottled water, stating that water is FREE, so they should give it to customers. Come on people, water is NOT free, it's metered and it's paid for on your utility bill and in a town of 63 people, it's higher than most towns I'm sure. There's a park down the road that you can fill your water bottles for free, I suggest stopping there 1st, then going to get your pie! Yes, the pie is $6/slice, but they are almost double the size of most "diner" pies. In my opinion, it was worth it! Highly recommended! Help keep the small town businesses alive.
