A delightful dining experience on the patio! We had the salmon crostini for an appetizer, which featured a generous helping of salmon and cream cheese spread. Next was a colorful salad. Finally we enjoyed tasty entrees of primavera (the sauce was extra creamy!) and walleye with morel mushrooms. Will be back next time we’re in Lanesboro.

Loved ❤ the lambchops! What a treat! Beef tenderloin was great. Salad with fresh greens, nice wine selection, excellent food. Pleasant attentive service. I do think the dining area could take more advantage of the old hall space- add some more ambiance- candles, background music, dimmer light. Overall very nice place- we were glad we reserved in advance!

My wife and I have eaten here several times, and I can say without a doubt that Old Village Hall serves the best food in the area by far, the prices are very fair for the quality of the food and the service that you receive. If you are anywhere near this area I highly recommend this restaurant, they deserve all the business they can get, and I know we will be back again very soon.

Absolutely delicious place! Four of us literally cleaned our plates. Pork tenderloin was fork tender, filet was cooked to rare perfection, scampi was also perfectly done, good wine menu. Def give this gem a try!

We enjoyed both of our dinners here. The food was well prepared and delicious. On the first night, we sat in the outdoor patio. On the second night, it was raining, so we called early and had our dinner as take-out. That was great, too! I particularly enjoyed the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and my husband really liked the penne.

My husband and I had a delicious dinner here in the late afternoon. He had lamb chops, and I had the pork tenderloin. Each was prepared wonderfully. Everything was delicious and flavorful, including the soup and salad. We ate outside on the deck. It was lovely.

This is one of the best meals I have ever had. I don't do a lot of fine dining, but the combinations and flavors were very well done.
I had the pork tenderloin with rhubarb/apple chutney.
My wife had an excellent lamb chop.

We had a delicious meal here last evening. 3 of us had different pasta dishes and my husband had the lamb chops. All were nicely presented and very tasty. Our service was also excellent. Would recommend and return!

We always make sure we eat dinner at the Old Village Hall when we go to Lanesboro which is 2-3 times a year. Over the our 10+ years eating here the food has been outstanding and it is wonderful to eat on the deck. Our meal last week might have been the best, the salad was a bit different and even better than we remembered it. We both had pasta, mine being the beef tip pasta special and it was amazing. The beef tips were tender and seasoned wonderfully, the pasta, vegetables, sauce and pasta were perfect. My wife had the vegetable pasta and she echoed my comments about how great her dish was. Desserts are always a treat and top notch. The wine is list is solid and decently priced. Highly recommended when in Lanesboro.

Friendly and very attentive staff, and to say the food is delicious is an understatement. The food made me want to sell my house and move here, it was amazing! The menu is a little pricey, but the value is right on! I had the New Zealand lamb and it was fantastic! I definitely recommend this restaurant and my boyfriend and I will be back!

This restaurant offers upscale food and descent prices and in a relaxed but fine dining environment. I don't know how they pulled off class without being snooty, but they did it. By far the best dining experience fir me in a long time.

The staff is friendly and attentive. Very professional while not seeming genetic or withdrawn.

The lamb chops are wonderful. The brisket amazing. The pours from the bar are ample. This is the restaurant to dine at when you are in Lanesboro.

And you can ring the old bell on top of the building! The rope is around the corner if the building to the left of the door.

Best meal in town when looking for a romantic dinner. Unless you are already a wine aficionado, let them recommend a pairing for your food selection, as they do a great job with it. If the waiter doesn't know, they'll get one of the owners or the chef to recommend, and all are excellent. Best creme brulee for miles, and many times, whatever is fresh/best at the local farmer's market will be incorporated into a dish on the evening menu. I've eaten here many times and it's always top notch. I love the the chef or owner will stop by my table to check that everything is exactly as you asked for it to be cooked, or chat about prep/inspiration on unique offerings. Nice atmosphere too, more formalized than other places in town, but not pompous either.
