Crawford Notch State Park in New Hampshire is an awesome place to camp. My spot was right along a fast flowing river and the sounds were incredible. This area is very scenic and fall colors were out when I visited. Definitely recommend this area for camping and sightseeing nature.

I love the trail to Arethusa Falls!
It's steep for a bit, but manageable. Getting into the clearing is breathtaking - the waterfall is GORGEOUS. Definitely recommend checking this spot out.

Quite possibly one of my favorite places of all. It's incredibly beautiful and a little overwhelming to take in. If you're driving through in either direction, you will find it very difficult to see everything while trying to pay attention to the road. There are pull offs for many of the major sites/trails/features. However, there are some areas that are by the roadside with no real area to park and see. I'd recommend getting well acquainted with the area on a map and planning what areas you want to stop at before driving through, which might make the drive more pleasant. There are restrooms at certain wayside areas.

What an incredible story; sad, but true. The beauty of this place is breathe-taking. The Ranger at the station is wonderful, so friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The shop has so many affordable hidden gems.

Enjoyed a nice hike up to the falls. Took about an hour+ on the way up, half that on the way down. The waterfall at the end was pretty amazing. The water flow was full but wasn't too much that you had to worry about kids being swept away. Not too many mosquitoes either. (end of May).

Parking is $5 and there's an upper and lower lot. Pull in, drive up the road to the upper lot.

Very enjoyable!

WOW 😲! My first 🥇 time visiting was as a kid, but, even though I enjoyed the views, camping and swimming in the streams, I didn't enjoy being carsick.
I visited on and off in my younger years. I brought my son for snow tubing. My last visit was by train 🚂🚃 from North Conway.
Now, I'm exploring NH waterfalls, trails and history. Crawford has it all, including camping, swimming, breathtaking views and the possibilities of seeing wildlife such as bears 🐻 or moose.
Places I have visited that I recommend; Ripley, not the woman who fought Aliens, and Arethusa Falls, Davis Path trail, Silver Cascade and Willey House and Pond and trail. Driving RT 302, you 🙈 see so much!
My heart breaks when I have to leave! I recommend a visit!

The hike to get to the top was along a stream. Making it more exciting to jump around and avoid getting into water. Lots of fall foliage to look around while hiking.
The trail was very clean and a couple of big streams to cross made it more fun to get across the rocks while balancing and cheering people. The hike feels a little longer than what is written on All trails but nevertheless the views from the top were worth it.
We enjoyed the hike to get to the top and we sat there almost an hour to take in all the views.
It's also a wonderful location to spot the scenic train in the midst of the fall colors.

Beautiful views but it was extremely crowded. Not sure if it’s always like this, but we still enjoyed it.

Located in White Mt NP near the eastern face of Mt Washington on Rt 302, Crawford Notch SP is the doorway to the Presidential Range. One can climb to Mt Washington in Crawford Notch. The Conway Scenic Railroad can bring hikers there or passengers to enjoy this beautiful area. There, the mountains rise to impressive heights as the road winds up through the notch, displaying two spectacular cascading waterfalls right along the road. The park offers campgrounds, fishing, and wonderful hikes. We undertook Arethusa Falls in the thawing snow and had a wonderful experience. The scenic drive along the Saco River is just beautiful.

Great hiking, spectacular views. Arethusa Falls was beautiful, but don't forget to bring $5 cash to pay for parking at the trailhead. Flow volume was pretty low but still well worth viewing, and I can't imagine how spectacular it would look in the springtime or after a decent rain. We also stopped for ice cream at the historic Willey House, and learned about the tragic history of the property.

Fairly easy hike. About 3 miles round trip. The waterfall is beautiful. Lots of dogs :) my pups loved it. Can get fairly busy, we saw lots of ppl on the trail. Several big parking lots.

This park was an amazing crescendo to our White Mountain vacation! The picnic area is along a small river pond, all nestled in a literal bowl of mountains! The views are breath taking. An abundance of trails gives lots of hiking options for all interest levels. Restrooms are available, and the park is a carry-in-carry-out. We stayed into the early evening and were able to see the sun set over the mountains, washing the rocky faces in brilliant orange and reds, it is truly something to witness. The drive in is just as amazing as the park itself! No matter which direction you drive in from you should take the moment to drive the mountain pass, as the views and cliffs are worth seeing. With the lodge at the top, you could turn this park into a vacation of its own, and has certainly made my list of places to return to.

Beautiful setting to just take a break from the crazy life we all live in today. The colors and terrain in the fall were some of the most colorful we have witnessed. The pops of red amongst the browns and orange made this a great day for some lead peeping. There are several stops along the roads for a good hike or picnic. We will be back for sure.

the trail was a little dangerous due to the time of the year there was snow covering most of it and it was slippery and would sometimes breakthrough. it took about two hours to get to the falls which was absolutely stunning and well worth the hike. It is New Hampshire's tallest waterfall at 200 ft and it was worth every second of the hike. I will definitely be going back when there is warmer weather
