The Blue Bird House is a great place for a family to stay. Rates are very affordable for this well restored and appointed house with many clever and interesting items inside! Some of our family have now stayed twice in the Blue Bird House over a long weekend. Accommodations were perfect with lovely (and super clean) bedding, a well stocked kitchen with room to gather around a dining room table for food and games or outside by a one of a kind fire pit. We have already reserved for our 2024 get together!
Thanks Barbara for all you did to make our stay so enjoyable!

This is my second time staying at the Hann Homestead. Everything is easy at HH. This is truly a hidden gem! If you like a traditional bed & breakfast, this is the place. The Innkeeper is so personable and takes wonderful care of the inn. The rooms are all unique and the beds are comfy! Breakfast is served daily at 8:30 and a long farm table offering soufflés and craft french toast! It's a 12 minute drive to Alfred State and Alfred U. I'll be back again soon!

The Bluebird was beautiful! My bridesmaids and I stayed there for the weekend. Beautiful, cozy, clean, comfortable and amazing! If I could give it 10 stars I would!

We stayed at the bluebird tourist home. It was beautiful! The beds were really comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. We went for a weekend getaway, and met some friends there. We brought our own food, cooked in the spacious kitchen and ate at the amazing, large dining room table. There is a huge fire pit that we utilized each night we were there. The grounds are well maintained and we walked around a lot. The host was quick to respond when we had a question. We will definitely be back.

The Hann Homestead Inn was the perfect backdrop for an intimate party with family and friends to celebrate my son’s graduation this weekend. While the property is beautiful during the day, it is simply breathtaking at night with all of the beautiful twinkle lights in the trees and on the porches. I love to travel and prefer to stay at Bed and Breakfasts for the charm and little touches you can’t always find in hotels. I have stayed at many throughout the US and in France, yet The Hann Homestead Inn is one of the most charming inside that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. It is beautifully decorated, immaculate throughout, and the beds are very comfortable. What I loved most though, is the very careful attention Barbara had paid to sharing the history of this lovely inn and the families who called it home since it was built in 1840. While I didn’t have a lot of downtime to relax, when I did, I thoroughly enjoyed walking through the inn and looking at the photographs throughout and reading about them. In addition to the photos, finding the little chimney closet that was part of the Underground Railroad made me truly appreciate the history of this beautiful inn. Barbara was attentive and incredibly helpful. She checked in throughout our stay to ensure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space, Barb. I look forward to visiting again.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful the Hann Homestead Inn really is... A group of five of us came out to western NY for an annual ATV trip and found this place located near the Tall Pines Park. The house is rich in American History as it was built in 1840 and was laden in originality. It is immaculately maintained both inside and out and stocked with everything needed for a vacation. Barbra was so helpful with our plans and responded immediately to any questions we had. We took full advantage of the swimming hole located right across the street and used their generous fire pit and propane grill nightly. It was nice to have the entire house to ourselves and probably would have been comfortable with another 2-3 guys as there was ample bedrooms and sleeping areas. If you are considering venturing to this part of NYS with a small group, this is definitely the place to stay. Thanks for your hospitality!

During our recent trip to the WNY area we stayed in several hotels and The Hann Homestead Inn. By far, the Homestead Inn was our most enjoyable stay. We had a group of 10 and fit comfortably at the INN. The porches and yard are a perfect place to enjoy a WNY summer evening. The beds were comfortable, showers were great and the house was full of charm. Lastly, a home made breakfast was a perfect end to our stay.

Two years ago in October, my wife and I were looking for the perfect place to have a fall wedding. We looked for scenic overlooks, we looked for old barns with colorful trees, we looked high and low. We weren't looking to spend a boatload of money on a venue. One day, my wife showed me this beautiful old colonial style house and I decided to schedule a viewing of it. Just pulling up to the front walkway, I fell in love. Immediately I was thinking about where we should place a gondola for the best view. Barb invited is in and walking through the doorway into the foyer, I had made up my mind. Everything from the original hardwood floors to the woodwork throughout is immaculate. The originality of the house and how well kept true to the times it is was amazing. We got the details out of the way over a cup of coffee and went outside to walk the grounds. I might add, immediately, I felt at home. Barb and her beautiful homestead are likely the most flexible and inviting venue you'll find. As we walked the property we imagined the placement of everything and how perfect our special day would be. Let me tell you, this place was all that and then some. Poor barb was out stopping traffic to keep cars out of our wedding photos because we placed the arbor she provided in a pretty non-typical spot. I truly believe she wanted our day to go off without a hitch moreso than us. Fast-forward to the reception. The hospitality was more than i could ever ask for. Barb fit in with my slightly wild family like she has known us our whole lives. Turns out, she's got a bit of a wild side herself. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't want to be at any other location. We will definitely be renewing our vows there in the future. 5 stars is certainly not enough but it's all I can give.

I returned to the Hann Homestead, but this time at the adjacent Blue Bird Tourist Home. It was amazing! Besides having the whole historic house to myself, it was beautifully restored and very cozy. The property is quiet, with lovely views of the hills, and well-maintained. I even got to meet the owner, Barbara, who’s family has lived on the property for generations. She is friendly, thoughtful, and very accommodating to her guests. And has great design style since she and her husband restored and decorated the homes. Look no further for a memorable and comfortable place to stay in Allegany County!

This inn was my first New York experience. We were in town from out of state for a family event and arrived late. When morning came, we were blown away by the setting and scenery that is out of the way, but close to town. The historic house was cozy with all the comforts of home as well as a built in history lesson as it was part of the underground railroad and is adorn with artifacts of that period in American history. The beds were comfortable and housed 9 of us comfortably. My only complaint is that we only stayed two nights when a week would have been ideal. 10 out 10 and would absolutely stay again if we are ever in the area.

We stayed at the Bluebird house! Wonderfully decorated, comfortable home. The place was clean, and ready for us to unpack and begin our family reunion. The kitchen lacked for nothing. The property is large, with a stream along side of it. We built a fire in the firepit our first evening and enjoyed the stars while listening to the water from the stream.

Where to begin!!! My family rented the Blue Bird Tourist Home for the 4th of July weekend and will definitely be going back!! The home was absolutely beautiful, the renovations and decor are simple but amazing. The house was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. It was just like being in a home. My large family was able to come and enjoy it and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Probably because the weather was perfect and we stayed outside the entire time. The fire pit was so nice to enjoy at night, they even had wood ready for us to use. Barb and Kelly were always helpful if we needed anything or had any questions. The location is so beautiful you can look in any direction and see the WNY beauty!! I assure you, you will not be disappointed in this beautiful historic home.

My best friend and her new husband rented the property for the weekend of 8/7-8/9, married on 8/8. The property is set on a beautiful plot of land in Allegany County, easy to find for those not local. The main house is wonderfully furnished in the era the house was built with modern day conveniences. The hostess, Barb, went above and beyond to make this such a memorable weekend - but anyone who makes me coffee and bacon is aces in my book. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Barb for making this the best place for friends n family to gather for saying their vows. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend away. You are part of our lasting memories now.

The place was immaculate. The breakfast was great and the team was incredibly friendly. The location was centrally located for the area located just outside Wellsville. I stayed there with several friends at a reunion and the farmhouse was very conducive to evening reminiscing.

I travelled with two friends. Our stay was wonderful. The Inn was spotless clean and full of light. Kelly, the innkeeper, was a pleasure to be around, and her homemade breakfast delicious! Keyless check inn was flawless. Barbara, the owner, was always available to help us with information we wanted. Even before the trip she texted me a link for "Blown away" - the glass artists reality show on Netflix - those artists were part of the Corning Museum exhibition. I was able to see their work in person during our museum visit. It made the experience even more special. There were plenty of spaces inside and outside the inn specially and beautifully decorated for our relaxation.
I am happy to recommend.

My husband and I love the Hann Homestead! We got married there in August 2018 and had so many compliments on the beautiful outdoor venue. The owner was great to work with and made everything so easy! Very flexible and a great location. Staying at the bed and breakfast was a wonderful experience, too. They make delicious breakfasts for guests.

We recently had our wedding and wedding reception at The Hann Homestead Inn. Barbara and her staff were extremely nice. If there was anything we needed they were right on top of it. The bed and breakfast is cozy and clean. Feels like home. We received so many compliments how great the place was to have a wedding. A lot of history is at this place. If you are in the area and looking for a place to stay while in the area this is the place! Its also a great venue to have your perfect outdoor wedding!!
