Pomodoro Rosso Italian Grill & Pizzeria

Best calzone I’ve had. It was by chance that my husband and I stopped by today for a quick bite. It was so good. We definitely hope to come back again in the not so distance future:)

We ordered catering for a party of 70 people for our daughter’s birthday today. I rarely write reviews but felt the need too after receiving so many compliments about the food. Numerous people left saying they will be ordering for their next party or want to give the pizza a try now. Ordering was easy and they were so incredibly helpful. The amount of food we received was more than we expected. Will be ordering again for all our future parties. We can’t recommend them enough. Thank you again! The food made the party even more special!

A family-owned restaurant. The owners are from Italy. So if you're thinking of going to Italy, save your money and go here instead. The scenery may be better over in Italy but the food here is the same. Everything on the menu is awesome..

First timer.....
My family stopped here for dinner before our long trip back home. We ordered a pie and garlic knots. Garlic knots were so fluffy and delicious. Pizza was amazing too. Sauce was delicious and generously had mozzarella. My young girls ate two slices each! This speaks volumes because they're sooo picky. Everyone was very hospitable. Only have a picture of the knots because the pizza was devoured too fast hahaha
I'll be back next time we're in the neighborhood.

I have not received a bad meal from them ever. I am so addicted to the bean and escarole soup and many other meals like blackened chicken and spinach, Rigatoni Ramona, Pizza and so much more. Give them a try, you not be disappointed!

This is a casual, pizzeria and restaurant. Don’t miss the food though. In the back of the Pizzeria, they serve really really good Italian food. Great for family dining huge portions, fresh and delicious. Owned by an Italian family that knows what they’re doing. I highly recommend all their chicken dishes. My family really enjoyed the salads the pasta, the vegetables everything was perfect. I even bought a gift certificate for my Mother. This is a very casual place with great service. You will be surprised how wonderful and reasonable the hot entrees are! Bring a healthy appetite and be prepared to take home, Great leftovers!!!

So if you're on your way to Sandy Hook, add this spot to your itinerary, call up when you're 10-15 mins away from here, pick up a great Italian sub. We had it in the cooler for an hour or so, it was perfect. They wrap the sandwich in a great thick wax paper so you don't need to worry about it getting soggy.

The pizza looks good too! Will try next time. There's also a liquor as well as a grocery store next to it, so I'll always be making this my last pit stop before heading to the shore. 🏄‍♂

I heard the pizza is really great so I took my family to pomodoro rosso Atlantic Highlands,my kids are really fussy like the mother ,anyway we started with some appetizers fries garlic nuts onion rings and chicken wings, before the pizza arrived we enjoyed all these goodies, but the pizza was delicious,and you know my kids were so excited it became our favorite place,and staff very courteous and gentle 👍

This is my go to pizza place and I also had them cater my baby shower and everything was great a lot of food for a great price

Everyone I have ever come in contact with at this establishment was very polite and happy. What great service and the food is even better! In my 6 years of eating here as my favorite local Italian restaurant I have never had a single order I could complain about. Authentic Italian dishes available and genuine care goes into the food they prepare. Nice to see people take pride in their work! My favorite local place by far.

I stopped to get a slice. Saw a sandwich in the display. This sandwich was incredible. It was gone before I got out lot. Garlic knot Parm sandwich. I'm getting another tomorrow. Staff is super friendly which is rare in the area.

I'm gonna have to agree with Liam here. Buffalo Chicken Pizza, dining inside. Just look at this delici-- wait...it's gone?! Who took m-- oh, right. It was too good to wait for the picture. Maybe next time...

This spot is close to where I live so easy to pick up some slices. I think they have fantastic pizza. Everyone who works there is very polite and just an all around good spot if your looking for some decent pizza.

I really enjoyed this place the service is phenomenal they really made me feel comfortable here and there food is very good, my children are very picky eaters and they enjoyed it and wanna come here everyday!!

We stopped in for a pizza and sandwich, and had some garlic knots while waiting. The food is delicious! And the workers are very friendly and accommodating. Everything was made exactly to our specifications. This is now our favorite spot to stop for a bite to eat when we come down this way.

This pizza is by far the best in the area. I get it every time I come visit my parents and it never disappoints. However, I ALWAYS ask for thin crust, well done, and extra sauce; they make it perfect. My go to topping is pepperoni and hot peppers.

Absolutely delightful new owners great food one of the best seas for salad with ever had pizza is excellent.
